Now when it goes off for real nobody will run. 🌊
That's what I'm worried about.
That’s the plan trust me
Why would anyone plan that? @@208thbaby
Ooh yeah, can’t trust them.
My apartments fire alarm goes off almost every night. We will all be dead in a real fire lol
Come on guys, ever heard of the boy who called wolf? These false alarms are potentially costing lifes.
Look out! WOLF! Right there behind you!
The _EIGHTH_ time, and they're just now hopping mad? These folks are saints.
It's good practice for them. Like the road closure issue. In an actual emergency, that would've been a problem.
It’s not good practice to be told twice a year to evacuate your homes for real, and then be told “oops our bad, can’t explain why but we know it’s safe just stay home” twice a year. It’s unacceptable.
Well, I’m sure after the first couple times they were thinking like it’s better to have one that goes off too much than never at all but yeah after 8 times that’s crazy
Interesting way to spell dumbasses
They're getting you ready to ignore the signal,
We moved out of Carnation 5 years ago. I’m so glad. There isn’t an infrastructure to support the amount of homes out they’ve put out there. There’s one road out of town. Add this on top of it and it’s even worse.
It's like that all over western WA. The population has quadrupled in the past 20 years and yet we're still all trying to squeeze down the same two-lane country roads that haven't been improved since the 1980s.
This reminds me of the Norwegian movie "The Wave" (2015) - feels like it fits here.
Reminds me of the story about the boy who cried wolf.
Why was he crying?
Seattle - We are investigating the false alarms.. Also Seattle - We will stop sounding the false alarms once you pay us more taxes
Except Carnation is in Snohomish County and doesn't even pay taxes to Seattle.
This is going to create a terrible cry Wolf effect.
...hoping it's not going off, because there's a problem that no one can see!
Once the folks left were any homes burglerized?
(By burglers?)
Cops needed a reason to do some(Black Bag work)on some Suspected Perpetrators homes ??? Good time to do some Illegal inspections or searching ?
Why yes, as a matter of fact there were.
But we were told that was just a coincidence.
Your going to get people killed with that kind of ineptitude. Crying wolf 3 times is what I learned killed the flock and you let it go to 8???
These are basic childhood lessons you somehow missed? Busy on brain day I guess?
It was not an accident but a real problem happened they don't want you to know
With everything happening nowadays you just can't take the chance.
Should I stay or should I go. Crazy times.
They got hacked
ya and we all know every kid secretly wished that every fire drill was the real thing.
If this is a siren that operates off a radio it sounds like they need to change a frequency and the CTC in the CTS codes.
Think of it as a fire drill😂
Get in line.
Whereas I would be glad it was a false alarm
Except people will learn the alarm means nothing and not evacuate when there is a real mudslide.
easy to say behind a keyboard
@@ninemimesleft
Like Pavlov's dog.
It can be both happy it was false and upset as well. It does not have to be singular.
Lord keep those people 🙏
I feel bad for those residents.
It sounds like whales......It is best your have these false warning alarms... Practice makes perfect......
Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf. It sounds like people are ceasing to pay attention to the alarm due to the false alarms.
Next time it will be looked at as a false alarm. But let's just ask why humans ever placed towns in harms way. And let's sue them so they spend it on PTSD.
This is good practice. What happens if there is an actual emergency.
I would've moved after the 3rd false alarm.
Consider it a practice run. One day it might be real
Reminds me of the boy who cried wolf. Trust is gone.
Better a self test from the machine than it not work a'tall!
All these ships and tesla crashing and nobody knows why? Hmmm I smell a hacker messeing with all our stuff. Next it's water supply.
You are paranoid
Teslas crash because they over advertise what the "full self driving" is capable of (it is not actual full self driving) and people then dont pay attention. The ship taking out the bridge is just a series of people being cheap and short sighted. (boat probably had engine issues being ignored, the bridge didn't have something to catch anything out of lane like outer barriers, and the practice of cutting tugs loose before the ship is all the way out of harbor.)
This is the water supply
And when the alarms sound due to an actual flood, most will complain it didn't provide early enough warning even though it saved hundreds of lives. Point is, people have delusional expectations theses days, with many expecting perfection in an imperfect world.
Then they will turn around and sue the state
😂 so what you have actual safety drills , you will be safer for the practice.
They might hear an alarm and think oh not another false alarm and not evacuate. With each false alarm the traffic out of town is getting less congested from what was said near the end of the video. So yeah, Seattle Public Utilities needs to stop yelling wolf at the City of Carnation.
@@Rosarium2007 yes but what if this extra drills save lives in case real catastrophic events town would have actual experience for evacuation millions of other towns and city's in America lack and will restort to utter choas. I say it's good practice and say it again.
@@juicewrld9867 You WARN people for a drill. This isn't hard to understand unless you're a really, really dim bulb.
Seattle City Light better clean up their act and apologize to the residents of Carnation and surrounding area.
They don't have weekly tests? Why is this false alarm any different?
I went to college in Texas. We only had monthly tornado siren testing IF the sky was clear blue. Always at the same time on the same Wednesday of each month. And no one went into basements and interior rooms just because of the test. The few times sirens did go off due to actual real tornadoes it was very disruptive.
@@Rosarium2007 That's a little lax, too. Everywhere I've lived, they always tested the sirens weekly. I just took that as being the standard.
Rich people problems
This new station can't come up with any facts why even report upon it
I bet they won't go off should there be a tornado or severe thunderstorm.
Carnation is in the Cascades, among the largest mountain ranges in the U.S. There will be no tornado. Washington state doesn't have much in the way of tornados anyway.
Oops !
If it isn't logical, you're being lied to. Pretty simple to explain the cause of the false alarms and the plan to remedy it. There is nothing to gain by being silent about it. So they are doing this to serve an agenda. How many ways can the alarm be triggered? In response to a sensor? In response to an operator pushing an "alarm" button? The latter, you terminate the employee. The former, you explain to the people why the sensor it tripping it and then you tell them how/when it is getting fixed. There is no reason to believe this is negligence when it is clearly mallace. So what is the purpose and what agenda does it serve? Well, I think some commenters below have already (accurately) speculated as to that.
Keep running for the hills. I don't care how many times it goes off. The one time you decided to not run counld be your last. Just like the air raid drills.
Perhaps a developer has long term plans for the town, and they are creating a situation wherein people ignore the sirens, and the flood kills them all-leaving the area ripe for said developer. They are extremely nasty people…it could happen.
I don't understand why people live in Seattle. There are more cons than pros. Seriously.
Practice makes perfect
Only if people do not become numb and stop evacuating, which it sounds like from the video is happening. Ever hear of the boy who cried wolf?
In the film Spirited Away, Haku is eventually free. He forgot his real name a long time ago, because the Kohaku river was destroyed and covered up with apartments and he just needed to remember his name. Awe.
Prosecute Jon Stewart😂😂😂😂😂😂
CHINA OR RUSSIA PROBABLY
The boy who cried wolf....
“PTSD” LOL
this is the speed at which darn near anything wrong gets fixed in the PAC NW. just sayin'. We aren't saints, we just are used to our cities failing us! :) yay!
...potentially "dishtroying" the town.

Just grab a couple of surf boards and get ready to ride the wave out to the pugizzle foshizle.

So many concerns. 🤨 Also, problems being pointed out as residents first fled, and discovered traffic jams; the town, presumably, has only grown: have they addressed that problem? Don't be the victim of 'emergency warning fatigue', respect that *this time* might be for real. 🫂
that's the thing. It's already too late, because doubt[tm] is firmly implanted in that town.
