I almost had an heart attack when I watched it. Lol. Lindelof is a psychopat but in good sense of word. This scene reminds me a lot Locke's hatch scene from Lost.
Damon Lindelof - Bring WTF back into our memories. SPOILERS AHEAD Not only do we see that the missing girls are alive, but they are Guilty Remnant as well. Was not expecting that at all in the slightest.
I was not caught off guard by this. Back in episode 1 of season 2 when the girls go away from the lake they stop the music in their car and drive silent for what appeared to be most of the trip, until Evie gets home to her parents. Already there this reveal was planted and if you look enough for details you would notice even more. The "never mind it's pointless" joke fits so well for example.
Despite me thinking a few minutes before hand that "hold on, what if the missing Girls are there"; i love how Season 2 just made me keep second guessing myself
This must have been a good cliffhanger at the time but if you binge watch the series it's kinda turn off since the impact of them coming out of the van in the next episode would be waaaaaay bigger if this ended on him just opening the door
Best part about this reveal is that after you watch it the first time you realize it was actually pretty obvious and predictable. That makes it so much more impressive that the show still manages to blind side the viewer.
Rewatching this series, I noticed for the first time that “Evie” is a nickname, her full name is Evangeline. John calls her Evangeline when he calls her cell phone after she disappears in the first episode. Evangeline Lily’s character on LOST, Kate, was not who she first appeared to be. We later learn that she is on the run for killing her abusive father. What a great clue, right there in the character’s name. I’m surprised I didn’t catch it previously.

After this scene, I literally stood at the screen for a few minutes in shock.
This made my jaw drop!
Very nice of you to add the departure theme to the scene. Was really shocked when I watched it on tv and it wasn't part of the theme :D
2:10 you can see the reflection of the cameraman in her glasses
fuck, she’s beautiful.

Well this is best cliffhanger I have ever watched.
I didn't guessed that but everything.
F jaw dropping scene this is!
"It doesn't matter who we are" - Bane
"What matters is our plan."
Was getting caught part of your plan.

Why did Evie and her friends join the GR?
I think this part didn't make much sense.
Despite me thinking a few minutes before hand that "hold on, what if the missing Girls are there"; i love how Season 2 just made me keep second guessing myself
If ever there was a face that just a screamed "please blow me up with a drone strike," it's Evie's.
Evie is fine as hell.
