Today just finished purchase of a pre covid used class c. Got an RV inspection that caught a leaking water pump, some gaps in sealant so it was all fixed prior to pick up. I think I got a fair deal and buying used allowed me to get a lift and upgraded suspension. I’m gonna take the online NRVTA Owners course to learn to maintain and fix things myself. I also bought a used TT adventure membership so at least I know I’ll have a spot with power and water. So excited to get started.
Hi Chris and Katrina! Great collaborations. Thank you for saying it’s great to get an inspection on the Rv before you buy it. That’s a great tip. Thank you for the collaboration. Have a great night and see you both on Saturday! Have a great weekend. Travel safe.
When we bought our 2011 Jayco Greyhawk in 2020 we were thinking about just being weekenders and one great big trip a year. We caught the rving bug and realized we want to go full time. We started our research in 2020 and started watching RUclips and looking on websites and going to see motorhomes in person. Finally we just bought our forever home, a Newmar Kountry Star 3709. Now it is about selling the home and hitting the road.
Great advice!! Your approach is spot on, it’s all about how you’re going to use it. Very easy to fall into the traps with all the bells & whistles of new.
Good advice folks We made a checklist put it on our phones for when we hunt.( things we can't live without or need) We think interest rates will come down shortly, if your not in a hurry But it's a buyers market & dealers wanta deal. Used could be a great option, with an inspection But I personally would steer clear of covid units. Happy hunting
To be completely honest I (Katrina) will be a little jelly if/when you purchase that gorgeous Armada. Just kidding. I'll be very happy for you guys. Just know that we may be coming over to your rig to hang out most days.😁 Safe travels until we see you guys again.
After 4 years in our 40ft 5th wheel, we’re looking at switching over to a 34-38ft SuperC. We’re part time and usually do a couple of big 2-3 month trips a year. Being in Florida, we usually put on some big miles to get out west and north. (Alaska/Canada again in 26!) We feel like the SuperC will fit our travel style better than a 5th wheel.
we bought our Newmar Mountain Aire off a park and sell lot.. we daw it we loved it we bought it.. 25 year later we love it.. private seller..no dealer..2000 coach in 2008, we now have 80k + miles on it,2024
Great tips and STAY Focus take Lots of photos. videos of the unit. And no one seems to mention about . Insurance on the road and insurance where you store the unit.RV .
We just bought a 2023 Alliance 382RK for a fantastic price! We owned a Fleetwood 42M diesel pusher always had something wrong and that’s why we chose the fifth wheel this time. See y’all out there one of these days! Oh by the way there was 30,000 fifth wheels for sale on Rv Trader.
Congratulations! We've been very fortunate with our DP. Never had any major issues. This is one of the reasons we are holding onto it and not purchasing a new one though we would love to. WOW, 30,000 fifth wheels for sale! That's insane!
The new TT, 5vrs, motor coaches are engineered to go 75 miles one way 75 miles the other way... back to the storage or grandpa's barn.... 2x a year... The wall street bunch has extracted tge quality of every and all companies they have bought out... Flat out pissed it away and want platinum pricing for bullshite product.... Reckoning is a coming

Great points..... You could have spent days on this subject.
So true. There are so many things to take into consideration.
Great tips - you know your stuff! 😁 If we get back into a rig sometime, maybe we'll consider used. We always bought new- never looked for used, lol.
Fingers crossed you guys get back into the rv thing one day. Hopefully sooner than later. Take care and enjoy that grandbaby.
