Am I the only one who believes that it would be much cheaper for the manufacturers to build better RV than to spend money fixing rigs after sale? Not to mention the bad reputations that comes along with it.
Apparently not the manufacturers. They’d rather cover up their mistakes than watch for actual quality control and make overall design improvements. Pretty on the outside; shoddy workmanship on the inside. So sad this seems to affect usually financially independent folks who can afford to cave and get things fixed on their own or wait for future long distance appointments!
Not an RVer, I am curious why Toyota or Honda doesn’t manufacture RVs, both companies known for their quality. They could dominate the market in 10 years.
We are sure that Liz 's diplomatic intervention with Jayco helped solving our problems with our Jayco White Hawk. She is down to earth, empathetic and gets right to the point. We are so glad to have "met" her on our journey and are for ever grateful. Keep going, Liz. Your friends Brook & Wolfie
Thanks for this! While I'm quite sure they didn't want me to post this video, I give them credit for stepping up and wanting to do right by Steve and Julia. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the update.
You got that right! I'm hoping these videos wake up the industry as a whole. They can't possibly stay in business if this keeps up. Thanks for watching.
Liz! You are now like the 20/20 John Stossel for the RV industry! What a fantastic service you are doing for so many people. Keep up the fantastic.. or rather... AMAZING work!
These are too complicated, unproven products rushed to production in a foreign land(primarily China)and when they determine the flaw they may provide an incompatible replacement part. That being said I think people want to many amenities in an over the road vehicle that would be challenging to have in a stationary home. There are no standards for the industry to follow like an automobile and try as the may to help you all theses factors make nearly impossible for dealers and service centers keep up with much less better able to predict what the problems might be in order to correct them. There is a reason that there is a DEALERS class action lawsuit against these manufacturers. They rushed these to market to keep up with the after COVID demand and essentially made really crappy product in their zeal to make money. Add to that worthless warranties I feel will severely damage the RV industry as whole for years to come. I’ve worked on this garbage for over 5 years now and it’s sickening the crap they sell people. I personally own a ‘97 Coleman pop up and are thankful for the 25 years relatively trouble free years. That’s what the manufacturers sold out on.
Liz, Thank you so much for taking these RV manufacturers to task. It’s absolutely ridiculous what many RV owners have been through trying to get their problems resolved. It’s too bad Tiffin didn’t own up to their responsibilities when Steve & Julia first brought the motor home in for repair. I’m so tired of the “COVID Excuse” as to why the manufacturers put out inferior products.
It isn't covid, this is manufacturers producing a poor product because they are trying to maximize profits no matter the cost to quality. Call it stockholder management, call it what you want, it is why we have so much made that is basically throw away due to making it in China or other third world countries. That tiffin knew about the slide problems and didn't tell repair places about the problem and fixes/ workaround tells the tale of how they are run. How many times did the US auto makers lose massive lawsuits for knowingly selling cars with major problems...
My father was in the service when we were kids. We would travel across country every year when he got leave. We camped there and back. I now know we didnt have the money to stay in hotels, but those memories are so valuable to me. Some of the happiest days of my life. Im so very greatful i have them. Family camping is the best !
Your original video was about dealer service and I commented Bob Tiffin was a "God" of customer service. I was last in Red Bay in April of 2023 and was forced to leave before all the repairs were completed because of health issues. I had an Aqua Hot that did not work. I had it at LazyDays for 3 months before leaving for Phoenix; there I had three different Aqua Hot techs come out and work on it. Tiffin's techs and Aqua Hot helpline suggested Red Bay and Red Bay was 1650 miles out of the way, but Red Bay was the answer. I had a short meeting with Bob Tiffin and he called a customer service foreman and told them to completely replace the unit on his "dime" because Aqua Hot does not want to do a complete replacement. I called him before I owned a Tiffin and as recently as a couple of months ago and have had him always call me back promptly. They've also extended the warranty on our unit because of my health issues. Bob Tiffin is still there every morning at 4:30am and he'll return our call. In my time at Red Bay I heard many stories about Bob's graciousness and met many employees who all care as much as he does.
Liz I'm so glad to see the power of your channel, The couple were correct in saying that we need to unite to have a voice. Until then they will try to sweep us under the rug and not own up to their shoddy workmanship. Please keep making these videos.
Wow! The algorythm is Strong with this one. I am Amazed that you got the President and his muscle men on a conference call. This is why You are Liz Amazing! Thumbs up!😎👍
As a former RV owner let me give anyone thinking of buying one a bit of information. They are engineered in a manner that I would describe as being "borderline". One can be relatively problem free while the next one can be a nightmare of problems. The dealers can drag out repairs for long, long time. Don't count on them ordering the correct parts, ordering everything needed or performing the repairs in a workmanlike manner. In summary, the industry is a joke.
Liz, you truly are amazing! So grateful you have so much influence on the RV industry and Tiffin is (seemingly) stepping up. Sadly, I honestly don't believe they would have otherwise. People deserve QUALITY with any purchase but especially with the prices we're talking about here. Looking forward to your update. Safe travels!
Yep. I think if I didn't have this platform there would be little or no incentive for these big companies to do right. I hope they wake up and re-commit to providing good customer service. Everyone who has legitimate problems deserves to be helped. Thanks for watching.
Liz, you are truly an angel of the RV World! People loose the dreams that they worked hard for while also loosing opportunities of discovery. You can’t give time back to people that have been essentially robed from this! Some of these RV Co’s need to make things right! A vacation can turn into a nightmare where parents are responsible for the safety of their children! This makes me so upset! Thank you for what you do!
I had a class-A diesel pusher and it was a royal money pit. I had to replace the fridge, the washer/dryer, the sofa, a window. And then major chassis issues. I was on a trip up to Alaska and lost my fuel pressure pump and had a slide freeze up. I ended up selling it. I now have a class-B that has been relatively worry free. One of the major problems with a class-A is that since there are so many gizmos there’s just that much more to break. My class-B has no slides so it’s basically the same chassis as the basic Promaster. I have a wet-bath, heater/water-heater, fridge/freezer, convection microwave, sink, and burners. It might be small, but it has taken me to places that I simply wouldn’t have dared to take my class-A. Also I can have the oil changed at a Jiffy Lube so it’s much easier to maintain.
We had a C class, then a Super C, then did EXACTLY what you did. Small B, no slides. No cutaway chassis. We like the freedom to stop where ever we feel like, sleep & bring food but the big ones are NOT worth it!! Our Super C was rather worry free, slides never broke. but we found ourselves not using it because jumping in the large a SUV/ truck was just easier & faster . It was a relief to downsize plus when it’s parked in our driveway, we use it more!!! This couple should have stuck with their TT… so so stressful.
Very articulate and well spoken. I am amazed how calm these people are discussing their issues with their Tiffin. I agree with them 100%. Unfortunately I have heard that since management changed at Tiffin their quality has dropped significantly. Hopefully this works out for them.
Way to go, Liz! I was curious when you started this series if you would have an effect on the manufacturing problems. It seems you are successful at it. Thank you for helping the RV community.
I felt so bad hearing these couple talk in such a way about Tiffin. This is really close to my hometown and I've known people that worked there for many years. I'm glad as I'm sure everyone else is that Tiffin is making a good effort in having this problem fix once and hopefully the final time. I would expect no less from the people of Red Bay , Alabama. Thanks so much Liz for all you do .
The problems they are having are real and listening to them describe the problems it sounds like the slide issue is the only problem that should have been addressed by Tiffin before it left the factory. Most of the other issues are things that just happen when you own an RV. I’m not saying Tiffin doesn’t have a responsibility to correct the problems especially the fiberglass cracking on the side and the roof, but a lot of their problems are to be expected. I would say that it’s the service center from where they purchased the unit that has the real problem. When you take an RV back to the point of sale and it stays in the service department for 2,3 or more months to be fixed and you pick the unit up with the same or even more issues than you took it in for it’s incompetence on the service centers part. The service manager should get his act together and make sure all problems are corrected when the customer returns an RV for repairs. When you do find a service department that stands behind a product that has been sold by their own sales department please let us know.
i have no understanding why Bob would sale to a company as Thor . They say Bod is still there running everything. I know during covid a lot of things went down for everyone but they have to make this right. I still trust they will do what is right. Lets wait and see. I hope so for these people that they do .@@fatotis6273
Yippee it's late Friday afternoon so Liz video time. What a nice young couple. Very excited that when you got involved they stepped up but disappointed that they didn't do so earlier. Shows the power of Liz. The easiest, cheapest and overall best solution for anyone in the service industry is to simple ask what do you want and then do it. I speak on this from a couple of decades of experience. First it is the right thing to do and second you can't buy enough advertising to come close to the word of mouth you get when say it, mean it and then do it. Just a side note is in order to do this you better make them right to begin with or the company will go broke. Anyway another great job Miss Liz and looking forward to hear the update for that great family. Such a nice story about the family interacting out on their trips versus being walled off at the house.
Yes, I loved that part, too, Dan. Camping is a great way to strengthen family bonds. This family could film a commercial on the joys of RVing! And thank you so much for your support, Dan! It feels good to be helping these folks. Overall, I hope the RV industry returns to quality builds and taking care of customers. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
Stress fractures? As a retired Boeing 747 captain, I look at these big class A monsters, and wonder why anyone who wanted a stress free life would be driving one of them without realizing… They need a team of mechanics to keep it rolling… It’s just physics👀
@jim-lu7il Maybe it's just not a good idea to chop out a twenty foot hole into the side of a bus and expect it not to have structural problems bouncing down the highway. But go ahead and cry me a river that physics will not conform to your tantrums.
Yes, flying all over the world in first class staying in luxury hotels, cruising in luxurious ocean liners gets really dull after a while there, bro@jim-lu7il
I actually have a Coleman Coleman, eight man ⛺ tent. It’s the second one I have owned. They are incredibly tough, durable, and my grandchildren 💕them🙏@@martinbennett8382
I agree with the original commentor. These A classes are Prevost want-to-be's. But that is most folks' choice unless they have rock star money. There's a really good reason those are actually busses. As a retired mfg engineer, I know it boils down to physics and Mr Richter. 😊
Oh No, I have a 2018 Tiffin 36LA, its been awesome up to now. I just noticed mine has some of the same cracking issues. I have not called Tiffin about this yet. I'm in Orange County California. Tiffin has dealerships here however,. I worried to take it there as the service department has horrible reviews. Not sure what the best course of action I should take.
These companies only "step up" and "make things right" when they are facing a public backlash. I feel bad for all of the other owners that have problems that these companies will never fully address.
The shop next to mine does a lot of unusual welding and makes art work out of metal. They had one of these 5th wheel trailers in for repair. Something was tweaked in the axles. I crawled under there and was absolutely shocked at how spindly the axles where and how they were mounted to the frame. It was scary. The shop built all new mounts and they were way beefier than it came from the factory. Took him less than a full day to completely redesign, fabricate, and install it all. I can't believe that some factory are sending things like this down the road. It is scary how they thing something like that is safe.
@@njlauren oh I’m not trying to do that I’m glad Liz is working quite hard to get these manufacturers to step up and take responsibility on there products there is lots of videos going around on RUclips about frame flex and or frame cracking that is quite a concern also and there are several other people trying to collect enough data to present to these manufacturers to do something about it and stop denying warranty claims and to fix the problems I’m sorry if it came out wrong thanks
@@coreymerritt7742 I hear you. As someone with training in quality management it boils my blood when I hear ppl blaming workers, especially when many of the ppl saying this are working ppl who know what management is like, yet I hear things like ppl don't want to work, they are on drugs. It is what certain politicians go around saying when the reason is greed, blame the workers. The US auto industry did that for decades , blamed the workers, until US workers making Japanese cars produced products as good or better than made in Japan and Roger Smith became a punch line.
I’ve read other rants about poor Tiffin quality and not-so-good customer service. Design issues as well as manufacturing shortfalls. I wouldn’t buy one.
Liz after watching your videos even a new RV I would get a survey to have things looked over, Worth the money; My original plan was to buy a super C or A but after all these videos I bought another boat
11:35 Words of wisdom. It took me about 50 years to realize what you're saying about family living. This philosophy should go into home design as well. I love American individualism, but we do it to a fault sometimes. Some of my family's best memories are sharing a cramped hotel room in some remote country.
Thank you Liz. Tiffin was the only brand i was considering to purchase new. And now that I listened to the end of the story I would say that it's great to hear that Tiffin was actually likely already working with Lippert on the slide fix. Not something a lot of other brands would even consider. My last new RV was a 2015, and I had very minor, fixable things that I learned to take care of myself. Never missed a trip over 5 year period of traveling 5 - 6 weeks each spring summer fall. That was a Jayco C class. Loved every moment of those trips with our family.
I got to Tiffin 11 days ago to have a short list of things fixed I also had the stress cracks from the refrigerator door and diagonal and from the master bedroom slide and an angle The dealer fixed it I drove it home from the dealer at cracked again so they did not do it right Tiffin finished repairing and painting it yesterday and waiting to get it buffed out on Monday and hopefully it will last. This is my third trip to Red Bay in the last year and a half.
I loved the Videos Liz my husband and i have been thinking about RVing but truly its scary that they keep putting out junk, my brother Bill in Montana told me to watch your videos before i go out and buy one, im sure glad i listened to him!
The nice places, guess what?? You have to reserve a YEAR in advance at midnight. Don’t do it!!! We ONLY have one to go from point A to B. And have downsized from a super C on Big Truck chassis to a Small 24’ B van. We bought the rv, then got tired of looking for rv spots SO far in advance. So looked into RV lot ownership but those were skyrocketing in price to 300k upwards! We threw up our hands. It was crazy! So we bought a winter home in FL. Dumped the huge RV after 5 years. I will ALWAYS caution people against it. I won’t lie. State parks are wonderful. But buy a USED rv, built before Covid. Dare I say before recession. Those seem to be the ones built super well. This is NOT like the car industry where newer is better. In fact, the car industry is starting to slide as well….
Cheers to you for all your efforts bringing these issues to the attention of present and future RVers. I also hope the manufacturers pay attention and improve. Japanese car manufacturers paid attention to Richard Deming, formerly of the Big Three, and helped them to where they are now. This is an example of will and desire to improve leading to be the best.
I dont undestand why these people do not file a formal complaint with NHTSA to force these scammers to recall their trash. From complaints to recall NHTSA issues vehicle safety standards and requires manufacturers to recall vehicles and equipment that have safety-related defects. Learn about NHTSA's recall process. Reporting your problem is the important first step. Your complaint will be added to a public NHTSA database after personally identifying information is removed. If the agency receives similar reports from a number of people about the same product, this could indicate that a safety-related defect may exist that would warrant the opening of an investigation. These owners are part of the problem if they do not report the safety issues to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Things will change when the Feds show up to investigate. I've been a class A owner for close to 30 years, never had an issue that was not fully resolved the first time to my satisfaction, knowledge is power!
Thank you Liz! When I read a story about someone having a lemon RV, I immediately send them your way! You’re getting results that even dealers never get! GOD Bless you! 🙏
Liz, fantastic that you helped this couple, I really hope it works out for them. I must say that I am surprised that Tiffin kinda tap danced around their situation. I regard Tiffin as the very best in the business and have may friends who own coaches from Tiffin. I feel there are no better. I hope you will do a follow up to see if all is done to their satisfaction. Again I am surprised at this for Tiffin and will be watching for a completion to their problems.
Yes. I will definitely be doing an update. I am curious if there is a fix for the frame or whatever is causing these cracks. I will keep you posted. Thanks for watching.
Tiffin is a Thor Industries manufacturer now. That's the heart of the problem. Liz, I wish you were doing these videos back when we bought our Palazzo!
To each their own but my wife and I are class B people for the simplicity, plus we can park it in the driveway. Having a slide that wouldn't close would be a nightmare. Good luck!
Yes! That's what I love about RV life, there is a camper for everyone. I started fulltime life in a camper van and then my needs changed. Looking forward to meeting you on the road someday! Thanks for watching.
Liz, another excellent video. Your channel does a great service. I feel for Steve and Julia. In the summer of 2021 we traded in our Forest River motorhome. It too had stress cracks on both slides in the exact same way. It was repaired and cracked again. It also had nearly 50,000 miles and on our coach , it was thought the cracks occurred from misaligned slides and overloading of the coach. We wanted to purchase a Tiffin 36LA. We got very close to buying over a 10 day period. But the build quality disappointed us compared to our friends 2018. We opted to go with a little smaller and more basic Winnebago 29V. We had some issues but NOTHING like the one in this video. We now have 36,000 miles on it, but did make two trips to the factory for a list of repairs . While it was expensive to make the 3000 mile round trip, our experience with them was excellent . Winnebago stepped up, and even helped us with out of warranty work. . Maybe we’ve been lucky, and glad Tiffin stepped up in this case. It’s not ALL BAD, but the industry definitely should be head and shoulders above what we are getting.
Thor is like that cartoon where the spectre of death knocks on each door in a hallway, killing whomever's behind the door and then moving on to the next one. 💀
Liz, you are giving all RV owners hope that one day manufacturers improve their products. It’s still sad manufacturers just don’t offer that kind of help from the beginning. I continuously read and see on RUclips that certain items installed and these RVs can continuously fail and the manufacturer just keep installing them. It’s beyond me why they do that but I guess making the almighty dollar is the goal and not providing a good product is priority ONE. I hope the federal against Thro changes how Warranties are addressed by all manufacturers.
Tiffin and frankly all RV manufacturers allowed the quality to suffer during the COVID window, so 2021 & 2022 rigs are very poor quality. And Tiffin has a serious backlog of repair appointments & many employees were let go and the Wayfarer service facility closed in 2023/2024. Maybe the Thor ownership influence??
Yes. I hope they don't go down a slippery slope of poor service. I definitely give them credit for stepping up and wanting to help these folks. Thanks for watching and stay tuned.
I give them a lot of credit for being responsive to my email and wanting to do right by their customers. I will definitely do an update about the repair. Thanks for watching, Mark.
We have a 2023 Tiffin 40ip and some minor issues and Tiffin is 1000% behind us and has handled any issues professionally, and expeditiously. We highly recommend Tiffin and we also had a very positive experience with a dealer. I sent Liz and email offering to share a great experience story on a superb dealer.
I don't work for a dealer. We purchased our Tiffin from McClain RV in Oklahoma City. Fabulous dealer and over the top customer service. They have stores in Texas, too!
I bought my 2020 FR Microlite 25fks in 2022. It was a year old, and had 2 previous owners. It was made right before covid. I bought it for my retirement. I have had no issues due to defects. I have had normal maintenance things and a cracked water filter housing. There are methods and parts used in the plumbing system that I am not happy with, but nothing I can't fix for now. I consider myself very lucky so far. My heart goes out to this family and others who have spent a very large amount of money on an RV that turned into a nightmare. Good for Tiffen to step up. Hopefully this is a trend, thanks to Liz. Who has very pretty eyes by the way. 🥰🥰🥰
Glad you got something done for them. Here in California I cannot just "drive to Red Bay" for service. The authorized service center here did not want to deal with Tiffin's structural warranty claim. They told me to pay them and then work it out with Tiffin. Reason, they could not afford the time on hold with Red Bay working out the warranty claim. I did not pursue it and just live with most of the problems - fixed one out of pocket. I've known a few people out here that had pages of problems on new rigs and also got Tiffin to come get the rig, fix it and then return it. Tiffin warranty and service is awesome if you can go to Red Bay. The small stress cracks on the sides are very common on Tiffins. That's the first I've seen of a roof crack. The big gassers do have problems with bad welds between the "box" and the chassis. Over time, Tiffins will also develop problems between the front and rear caps where they meet the sidewalks. All things to look for on used rigs.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Yes, that roof crack looks ugly. I would not be surprised if it were not repairable and am interested in how Tiffin approaches this. I will keep you posted, and thanks for watching.
I own a class a and recently decided to trade on a new tiffin ! After seeing how they stand behind their product I have made a change of course to another manufacturer can't waist my savings on a failed product especially a safety or structural issue. Good luck thanks fir savings me a huge mistake
Well,l just have to say they make things thin and lightweight so they can pack more stuff in them cracks are most likely from just driving on uneven roads and out of the campsite as well as the road. The frame has a tendency to twist which breaks the outer coating of the fiberglass. I sent you an email with about what California is doing on RVs never hear back from you on any of my posts or the email I guess you’re just too busy to deal with someone that really doesn’t have an RV problem, but has quite a bit of knowledge of them
Good outcome. The power of Liz! Suggest you create a digital online RV Consumer Reports that we could subscribe to. Airstream and Lazy Daze (now gone) had no slideouts. Both had aluminum roofs and body panels. The cracks may be related to slideout stress. The large flat body side panels have no longitudinal bulges that can prevent flexing. The large cracks are not trivial like small stress cracks. Is it possible to design slideouts that do not fail to open and close, and where the weather seals do not fail? Don't know. Years ago, I did some car design for Lotus, but that was totally different from RVs... except for fiberglass, where we had continual small stress cracks that were not structural. Killer new haircut! Come to my Tombstone, and we will treat you to drinks at any of our classic saloons! Yours, Jon Donahue
I have a 21 year old Tiffin Phaeton I just bought. No cracks, but I'm replacing some major stuff: shore power / generator switch, Xantrex Freedom convertor / charger, forward airbags, all shocks, toilet room floor, perhaps some tanks, [postscript- the tanks seem to be OK -] an annual lube/oil/service. Still, we bought it for 1/10 the price of a new one, so it will end up costing somewhere between 15% and 20% of a new one. The Cat Diesel and Onan generator will outlive me. Bob Tiffin was a stand up guy, but Thor, which bought his company, is not so much so. I'm actually glad I don't have a brand new one. As far as the interviewed owners go, it's important whether the cracks are just in the gel coat (minor issue,) or through the laminate, (major issue.) Gel coat is essentially a brittle paint. Fiberglass reinforcement is structural, and could lead to rot in underlying plywood. If I were buying a new RV today, (which I wouldn't,) I would demand an escrow account for the last 20% of the price for 1 year to ensure that real fixes to the factory defects were properly fixed. The dream of "new and perfect" is just that - a dream. In today's economy, what with Covid's aftermath and low unemployment = inexperienced workers, new = defective.
Amazing how it takes this kind of public exposure before it's taken seriously, and the right thing is done. Now if the other thousands of Tiffin owners are given this kind of response and service I will then give these company bigwigs credit. BIG changes need to occur in the RV industry!
I know it! And making these videos helps the others because it empowers them to push back. I hope the RV industry wakes up and does the right thing overall as I have no plans to stop making these videos. Thanks for watching.
Liz, you are an asset to the community. It is extremely frustrating own a lemon in need of major repairs. Thanks for assisting the couple find resolution.
Rvers are large community and Lis I love how you are taking on the OEM and getting actions! We have need voice for a long time! I will bet everyone has had major problems that get blown off. The must have gor an lemon because the next step would a four travel and not many of us can afford on! Great video!!
Hi Liz, I love in Australia & love watching you videos. You are an amazing woman & are giving hope to people who are having bad problems. Keep up the good work & you are certainly amazing.
Sounds like that thing is coming apart at the seams! Sad! I hope the company stands by this wreck on wheels and fixes it so they can at least get some use out of it before their children are grown and gone.
Thank you Liz, and awesome response from Tiffin, camping equalizes my life, Tiffin is a dream for me, thus it makes me happy to know that the people that manufactures my dream would not be a nightmare for me. GO TIFFIN

you aint kidding, not into RV's, but the investigative reporting here is entertaining
You may have a broken frame causing fiberglass stress and misalignment for your slide. Slides are generally a problem.
Anything that is associated with THOR scares me greatly. Glad Leigh Tiffin stepped up for this super nice couple.
My father was in the service when we were kids. We would travel across country every year when he got leave. We camped there and back. I now know we didnt have the money to stay in hotels, but those memories are so valuable to me. Some of the happiest days of my life. Im so very greatful i have them. Family camping is the best !
Yes, indeed it is. Those memories are priceless! Thanks for your comment!
I would say those stress cracks are from the frame flexing and will only get worse. Great job getting a conferance call .
The frames are made by Lippert. But they are built to specs provided by Tiffin.
Your right I guess the engineers thought the shell would stiffen it up
These good family deserves a brand new perfect rig. Thanks Liz! You are truly Amazing.
Thanks Charlene! I hope Tiffin does right by them. I will keep you posted
Very articulate and well spoken. I am amazed how calm these people are discussing their issues with their Tiffin. I agree with them 100%. Unfortunately I have heard that since management changed at Tiffin their quality has dropped significantly. Hopefully this works out for them.
Me, too. I will definitely keep you posted. 2017 Forest River 40cck cedar creek.
The applause at the end. 🤣💯 Such a great video. Wonderful ending to a rough story. You are an amazing RUclipsr and blessing to many.
Way to go, Liz! I was curious when you started this series if you would have an effect on the manufacturing problems. It seems you are successful at it. Thank you for helping the RV community.
Liz you continually amaze me. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO
Aww, thanks! So glad to have your support!
Liz , this story warmed my heart … thank you for helping others .
I would want a different RV after all that. I agree with the previous video and I would seriously consider a used RV pre Covid.
The family has sold the business and it is now owned by Thor. The days of quality construction and service are gone.
Thank you and you too.
Stress fractures? As a retired Boeing 747 captain, I look at these big class A monsters, and wonder why anyone who wanted a stress free life would be driving one of them without realizing… They need a team of mechanics to keep it rolling… It’s just physics👀
What it really is called is poor engineering.
The Power of Liz! Keep this series going. You are making a difference. Thank you so much!
A stadium full of cheers Liz. Keep up the great work you are doing on this vexing issue.
These companies only "step up" and "make things right" when they are facing a public backlash. I feel bad for all of the other owners that have problems that these companies will never fully address.
ABSOLUTELY correct, MANY failures on the road, where manufacturers try to let it pass the warranty period!
Glad to hear tiffin is stepping up great work Liz 👍😊
Should have stepped up way before now!
Don't give them credit please. They put these poor ppl through hell and only acted because she brought this out publicly.
@@coreymerritt7742
I hear you.
Like the new haircut, happy belated valentines. Great series you’ve done to bring awareness. Grace be with you
Buying an RV and you can't use it full-time is stupid it just sits there at your house or storage depreciating like crazy
I will be eager to know the outcome. Tiffin is one of the Class A motorhomes I have been considering.
Wow!! Nice job!! Kudos to Tiffin for responding; lets hope they solve their problems long term!!!
Liz after watching your videos even a new RV I would get a survey to have things looked over, Worth the money; My original plan was to buy a super C or A but after all these videos I bought another boat
Yes! Getting an inspection is a requirement these days for sure! Thanks for watching, Brian.
11:35 Words of wisdom. It took me about 50 years to realize what you're saying about family living. This philosophy should go into home design as well. I love American individualism, but we do it to a fault sometimes. Some of my family's best memories are sharing a cramped hotel room in some remote country.
Yes! It's also a great argument for tiny home living. Less is more. Thanks for watching
Jayco has a REALLY bad rep now.
Thumbs up for these videos Liz...it's a great resource...Thank You!
I’m not sure how I got here. But I love this channel and I’m not a RV owner of any kind
The warranty should be paused when there is a problem being resolved. They shouldn’t be able to get away with delaying their responsibility.
Yep! Thanks again!! Maybe it will happen someday.
❤❤❤ I Own a 1985 Tiffin Allergo Class A and she's perfect I travel 4 times a year and everything works I'm so thankful 😊
It seems the best stuff was built prior to the recession…
Thank you Liz for posting the video. Every manufacture should stand behind their product if they want to stay in business.
Liz, great job - your influence made this repair happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You are so welcome, Deborah!!!
You're doing a real service for people, Liz.
I dont undestand why these people do not file a formal complaint with NHTSA to force these scammers to recall their trash.
From complaints
to recall
NHTSA issues vehicle safety standards and requires manufacturers to recall vehicles and equipment that have safety-related defects.
Liz you are amazing , keep up the GREAT WORK !!!
Thank you Liz! When I read a story about someone having a lemon RV, I immediately send them your way! You’re getting results that even dealers never get!
GOD Bless you! 🙏
Thank you for what you are doing. It is awesome 👍🏻
Thanks John, I so appreciate your support!!!
Ha, ha! He said "kick it down the can" around the 9:50 mark.
He sure did!
Thanks Mitch!! Yes, Tiffin got bought by Thor back in December 2020.
Sadly Thor owns Tiffin now. Still run by the family, but with Thor at the reigns, say goodbye to a great RV manufacturer.
I sure hope Tiffin doesn't allow that to happen. But yes, Thor bought them in December 2020. Thanks for watching.
Exactly, they are not partners with Thor, they now work for Thor and, as such, will do as they are told!
Thor is like that cartoon where the spectre of death knocks on each door in a hallway, killing whomever's behind the door and then moving on to the next one.
💀
Oh o😮
Thor has a bad reputation from what I have seen.
So happy this video exists. Helps our decision making tremendously
I'm glad they stepped up and are willing to help them. And I agree- those backlogs are insane! Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much for your help always my utmost respect
Feel free to share this video to help the channel grow! And thanks again for watching and commenting.
It’s nice to hear a company standing behind the product and getting it fixed
It would have been nicer if Tiffin hadn’t sold them a defective product to begin with. What’s it like working for Tiffin?
@@tommyh.8391 that’s true
Only when called out on social media! Shame on them!
Thank you Liz for keeping us up to date. It speaks millions when a company president calls you. You are AMAZING!
Tiffin was really good before they sold to Thor.
Yes. I hope they don't go down a slippery slope of poor service. I definitely give them credit for stepping up and wanting to help these folks. Thanks for watching and stay tuned.
Thor does not own the Tiffin Service Center in RB. That is still Tiffin owned. @@LizAmazing
This is sad and discouraging for myself and others that are considering purchasing an rv in the future. Who can we trust
Don't buy any tiffin campers.Tiffin needs to buy this lemon back.
I give them a lot of credit for being responsive to my email and wanting to do right by their customers. I will definitely do an update about the repair. Thanks for watching, Mark.
These stress cracks are typical on all RV's from travel trailers to class a's!
So glad to hear this! Thanks so much for your comment and enjoy that Tiffin!
What tiffin dealer do you work at?
Rv’s are horrible investments.
They are not investments at all. They are fun things to have. Thanks for watching.
Thor has ruined the industry
@grillnanchilln How so? If those is a bad product, just buy one of the other 15 manufacturers' product.
Liz, Thank you for help hold the RV MFG's feet to the fire for the RV customers.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching and stay tuned!
Great idea! Liz, start an RV user group - charge an annual membership - and be a central clearing house for RV problems back to the manufacturers.....
Liz, thank you for doing these videos. You are helping consumers understand what they are getting into.
Amazing how it takes this kind of public exposure before it's taken seriously, and the right thing is done.
Now if the other thousands of Tiffin owners are given this kind of response and service I will then give these company bigwigs credit.
BIG changes need to occur in the RV industry!
