I really love this idea. I wish I knew about this kind of thing when I had my child and when my friends were having theirs. It's a lovely gift to offer. Whomever the man was that addressed your daughter negatively, clearly has no idea of a mothers abilities. I actually donated some of my breast milk to preemies in the hospital who'smothers were unableto produce. (Before anyone says anything negative, the donations were fully tested and approved by the mothers we helped!)

Breast milk is such a wonderful thing! I’m a mother of many and have used it on their diaper rashes. I deliver in January ♥️ what a blessing to have an abundance of milk😇 I love this!!! Breast milk is gold, and to the GUY that stalked her…. Does he even know how breastfeeding works 😑 it’s supply and demand and most exclusively breastfed babies have an abundance of milk bc of that … the nerve of him. Hi Ellen I am new to your channel and I was wondering is Lye safe for pregnant and after birth woman for skin products to make with lye as I been trying to make soap without and I had researched saying you need lye and I do believe it’s needed
The only way to make soap "without lye" is melt and pour, which in it's orginal compound was made with lye... A properly formulated soap recipe, after saponification, no longer has "lye" in it (just like it's no longer oily from the oils). I would be especially careful around the lye mixing fumes during pregnancy (perhaps even mix outdoors...), and of course wear all the proper safety gear.. Hope this helps, there are tons of articles on this subject too, that describe it way better than I just did..
Hello, thank you for the inspiration. I have a new born and i have A LOT of milk. Which means i have extra and i really love this. I got cute little chocolate molds. They are different animals...so cute. But they are very small. Ive only done the one soap that went very poorly and im just getting into soap making for my family and friends. Can you have too small of mold? I mean does it need to be so big to create a safe bar of soap when it is cured? I mean if you make a safe recipe of soap batter. Not sure if im making sense 😂
Your granddaughter is adorable!!!!!!!!!!! That is such an awesome idea to make breast milk soap. Wish knew about this when I was breastfeeding my boys. I bet this soap wouldn't have irritated their skin. I had such a hard time finding soap that wouldn't make them break out. When I was done feeding my boys I had breast milk pearls made into a bracelet and two little pearls for a necklace. Oh and what a jerk that guy was to do that to your daughter.

That baby is GORGEOUS! The person who said that has obviously not been around a breastfeeding mother. I had so much milk that I could have stocked a supermarket. Some mothers just make a lot of milk. The kid can’t drink it all! So you might as well use it for soap. P.S. That farting spatula was making me laugh out loud!

The person who stalked your daughter is obviously ignorant of how breast milk production and nursing works!!! I breast fed all 4 of my children, and I can tell you, that even after my children had their fill, I could easily pump 8oz of milk from EACH BREAST after they were full!!! There was no shortage of milk!!! Now, not all women produce an over abundance of milk, and I am certain your daughter knows her supply. Not to mention you said it was OLD frozen milk. SHAME on the person who dared to approach her on this matter!!! It was none of their business!! Go educate yourself, because you obviously need some knowledge!! This soap is beautiful as always!!! I am fully supportive of breast milk soap, especially being made for mom and baby. How precious is this gift!!!
Shame on the person for shaming your daughter, while breast feeding my girls till 3 yrs of age, I wish I knew how to make soap then, I would have never got rid of my extra.and mother's milk is great for all baby needs, my youngest had baby eczema, so after feeding I would wipe milk all over her face, neck and any where else needed, and she would look great a few days later. I make breast milk soap too, it's wonderful! To the weirdo stalking your daughter, mind your own... You know how much milk gets wasted just from having leaky breasts and soaking your shirt? Or in your sleep? As someone that doesn't breastfeed, you shouldn't have any opinions on it. Those of us that are lucky to be able to nurse our babies know that we often have an abundance so using a little bit in soap is nothing to cry about. Sorry that just irks me. It's beyond weird too.

I have TONS of breastmilk that is expired but I don’t want to get rid of it. I’ve watched hours of videos on how to make breastmilk soap but no one has measurements with the oils or breastmilk so I don’t know where or how to start. I’ve never in my life made soap but I am very interested in making soap with my breastmilk because I refuse to throw it away 🥺

I tried to donate it but the hospital said due to the pandemic a lot of moms weren’t getting milk and they were throwing it out too. She suggested I sell it but that drew in a lot of unwanted requests instead of asking for the frozen milk. Thank you I will give it a try 💜
Just a note....Breastmilk is fine to make soap with as long as its ONLY for the person who the milk came from. Legally in the USA you cannot sell it or even give it to a friend. It has to only be given to the mother.....

Using breast milk for soap for the babies is not at all uncommon! Lots of people do that, and none of them are starving their babies for that! I think I caught it was a HE - well, obviously he doesn't know how breast milk is more than needed for a good while...and if you still have fresh, why wouldn't the older one be used for something so beneficial like soap? It did not get DOS, and cured beautifully, just like regular milk soap.

Silk adds a very smooth and silky feel to the lather. Mother's milk soaps last as long as anyother milk soap😉

Breast milk is such a wonderful thing! I’m a mother of many and have used it on their diaper rashes. I deliver in January ♥️ what a blessing to have an abundance of milk😇 I love this!!! Breast milk is gold, and to the GUY that stalked her…. Does he even know how breastfeeding works 😑 it’s supply and demand and most exclusively breastfed babies have an abundance of milk bc of that … the nerve of him. Hi Ellen I am new to your channel and I was wondering is Lye safe for pregnant and after birth woman for skin products to make with lye as I been trying to make soap without and I had researched saying you need lye and I do believe it’s needed
The only way to make soap "without lye" is melt and pour, which in it's orginal compound was made with lye... A properly formulated soap recipe, after saponification, no longer has "lye" in it (just like it's no longer oily from the oils). I would be especially careful around the lye mixing fumes during pregnancy (perhaps even mix outdoors...), and of course wear all the proper safety gear.. Hope this helps, there are tons of articles on this subject too, that describe it way better than I just did..
Hello, thank you for the inspiration. I have a new born and i have A LOT of milk. Which means i have extra and i really love this. I got cute little chocolate molds. They are different animals...so cute. But they are very small. Ive only done the one soap that went very poorly and im just getting into soap making for my family and friends. Can you have too small of mold? I mean does it need to be so big to create a safe bar of soap when it is cured? I mean if you make a safe recipe of soap batter. Not sure if im making sense 😂

Your granddaughter is adorable!!!!!!!!!!! That is such an awesome idea to make breast milk soap. Wish knew about this when I was breastfeeding my boys. I bet this soap wouldn't have irritated their skin. I had such a hard time finding soap that wouldn't make them break out. When I was done feeding my boys I had breast milk pearls made into a bracelet and two little pearls for a necklace. Oh and what a jerk that guy was to do that to your daughter.

Yes, it was part of the liquid total, but I work with a steep liquid discount anyway...

Great video! ✨ I have a quick question, I just pulled my expired breast milk (1yr) out of the freezer to thaw in the fridge. Since mine is not considered “cold press” anymore, could I still leave my soap out? Thank you!
You can make soap with old frozen milk, and it's great.

That baby is GORGEOUS! The person who said that has obviously not been around a breastfeeding mother. I had so much milk that I could have stocked a supermarket. Some mothers just make a lot of milk. The kid can’t drink it all! So you might as well use it for soap. P.S. That farting spatula was making me laugh out loud!

The person who stalked your daughter is obviously ignorant of how breast milk production and nursing works!!! I breast fed all 4 of my children, and I can tell you, that even after my children had their fill, I could easily pump 8oz of milk from EACH BREAST after they were full!!! There was no shortage of milk!!! Now, not all women produce an over abundance of milk, and I am certain your daughter knows her supply. Not to mention you said it was OLD frozen milk. SHAME on the person who dared to approach her on this matter!!! It was none of their business!! Go educate yourself, because you obviously need some knowledge!!

Shame on the person for shaming your daughter, while breast feeding my girls till 3 yrs of age, I wish I knew how to make soap then, I would have never got rid of my extra.and mother's milk is great for all baby needs, my youngest had baby eczema, so after feeding I would wipe milk all over her face, neck and any where else needed, and she would look great a few days later. Miracle juice for baby!
It is a miracle juice! My other daughter used her milk to cure a bit of eye irritation in her baby too.
I make breast milk soap too, it's wonderful! To the weirdo stalking your daughter, mind your own... You know how much milk gets wasted just from having leaky breasts and soaking your shirt? Or in your sleep? As someone that doesn't breastfeed, you shouldn't have any opinions on it. Those of us that are lucky to be able to nurse our babies know that we often have an abundance so using a little bit in soap is nothing to cry about.

I have TONS of breastmilk that is expired but I don’t want to get rid of it. I’ve watched hours of videos on how to make breastmilk soap but no one has measurements with the oils or breastmilk so I don’t know where or how to start. I’ve never in my life made soap but I am very interested in making soap with my breastmilk because I refuse to throw it away 🥺

My husband has been telling me to throw my milk out since our son never took a bottle and he never drank it. I tried to donate it but the hospital said due to the pandemic a lot of moms weren’t getting milk and they were throwing it out too. She suggested I sell it but that drew in a lot of unwanted requests instead of asking for the frozen milk.

Just a note....Breastmilk is fine to make soap with as long as its ONLY for the person who the milk came from. Legally in the USA you cannot sell it or even give it to a friend. It has to only be given to the mother.....

Using breast milk for soap for the babies is not at all uncommon! Lots of people do that, and none of them are starving their babies for that! I think I caught it was a HE - well, obviously he doesn't know how breast milk is more than needed for a good while...and if you still have fresh, why wouldn't the older one be used for something so beneficial like soap? These people....ugh! Your grand babies are adorable and very lucky to have a grandma like you!

But I have to say you always are so pleasant even when your scolding someone. XD Side note: You can actually sell breastmilk soap it is considered safe by the FDA. Who knew?
