    Wow, dude in the first story did all that to a minor child and only got 5 to 15 years but people are being locked up for 20 and 30 years sometimes life for drugs. I would much rather sit on a park bench with my son on my lap next to a guy that has drugs in his pocket then I would a pedophile any day. The justice system is basically encouraging it with sentences like that.

    • @carrieharlow435
      @carrieharlow435 4 года назад +282

      And then on top of it, those who are in prison for that long for a simple drug charge really struggle to re-enter society when they're free which is absolutely unfair. The system is a mess.

    • @kittyticklehips
      @kittyticklehips 4 года назад +26

      llriv drug laws vary greatly from state to state. you definitely have a point but at the same time some states are stricter than others so it wouldn’t be too surprising to hear some bullshit like this. it also depends on the individual court. around me, the town over is way harsher on their punishments. they seem to care more about making money off drug charges than anything else

    • @Lacoux
      @Lacoux 4 года назад +6

      They get locked up for secondary drug offenses on parole. Their original case is almost always much worse.
      So no people don’t get 20 years for drugs in their pocket.

    • @twitchascension
      @twitchascension 4 года назад +8

      You're not getting 20-30 years or life for drugs unless you have an extensive legal history, there are significant extenuating circumstances, and/or you've got a significant amount and are distributing. There may be a couple rare exceptions which likely end up in a later reduced sentencing, but generally speaking you have to really push the envelope to get more than fines, probation, or a light sentence for drugs.

    • @Wasteland88
      @Wasteland88 4 года назад +55

      Well nothing I said was false. People should look up Craig Cesal, he's locked up for life for a first-time drug offense involving weed and he's still in prison to this day. He's watched murderers and rapists get released while he still sits in there. Just knowing about his case alone and knowing he's still locked up and that piece of shit in the 1st story did all that to that child and will be able to get out and be free is terrifying enough for me. You would figure with the systems that we have in place today somebody would be like damn we need to fix that but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

      @Silver Lady Well, *yes*, that's technically true. But I think it's pretty clear, in this context, that they mean a boyfriend/girlfriend / romantic/sexual relationship.
      She may have been willing, but she can't legally consent at age 14 to anything with a 37-year-old man. (Hence, "age of consent" laws. Not even "Romeo and Juliet" laws would apply here.)

    It's very jarring to hear 'girlfriend' in the two stories of these teen girls. I had to go back and double check their ages, I even looked up the age of consent in Australia. Whatever the girls might have wanted to be to these men, they weren't girlfriends. They were victims.

      Saoirse Victeoiria I’m surprised the parents were aware of the 21 year old “boyfriend” and didn’t really do much other than letting in get fined... a parent would’ve likely beaten him up as a warning to stay away from their daughter. Additionally they should’ve taken care of their daughter more than they were doing.

      Big Mona Natasha was 14. FOURTEEN. A 14 year old girl dating a 21 year old man. She’s hardly a teen, and honestly if you think you’re not a victim it’s because you somehow still haven’t matured yet. The teenage brain and the adult brain work differently. Not to mention there’s a huge power difference between a teen and an adult. Idk what to say. What you and Natasha did was not okay 🙃

      Possible but not necessarily. Not a lot is known about how the brain really works. People who have strokes sometimes forget certain things entirely yet remember others perfectly. There is a case of a man in the Pacific Northwest suffered a brain injury in an assault outside a neighborhood bar and became a mathematical genius. Not just suddenly good at it when he hadn't been before. An outright genius when previously he had had no interest or development whatsoever. Prior to the injury, he had no interest in math and science and worked in retail as a floor salesman.

    A kid "Scott" I went to high school with, father went missing for over 10 years and his mom had him declared dead when no activity on his social security number for over 7 years. Then on spring break 10 of us went to Coco Beach Florida and while we are hanging out on the beach we saw Scott's face flush white and when we looked up to see what did it right in front of us was his father with a much younger woman and 2 little kids! He didn't recognize his own son until Scott walked over and said WTF. His dad tried to play stupid until the woman got involved and the argument got loud! Turns out his dad had not only abandoned them but had done it to another family 1 town over from were we lived. He had taken the name and social security number of his cousin who was slightly mentally disabled but did not work and stilled live with his parents, and he didn't steal it they knew full well he was using it. So he was starting families like franchises wherever he went. The problem was he was supporting 2 full families and lost his job so he dropped his car next to the river in our hometown and he moved on to start his new life free and clear! We don't know how many families he started or how many kids he abandoned because after hd told Scott what he did he bolted again. Scott gave the name to the police and they tracked it to a small house in Kissimmee Florida but when yhey got there the family was gone. His 48 year old dad his 23 year old wife and 2 small children who the neighbors said were a nice family and very friendly. It was crazy and it really messed Scott up but the cops said this way more common than you think! That blew my mind but also I wondered how common truly?

      Similar happened to my family. My aunt and uncle went through a lengthy divorce, during which they'd both moved on to new partners and even eventually became cordial. He got full custody of kids and everything he wanted, had a nice house free and clear on his family's huge property, nice car, etc. Two days after they signed divorce papers his car was found on the side of the highway with his wallet and phone in it still. No activity on his bank account or even social media, no hospital records. After 4 years of him being a missing person we feared the worst. Until one of his other nieces (on his side of fam) found him on Facebook under a different name, showing he was in a relationship and lived in Florida too! -He disappeared from Washington. She messaged him and he immediately blocked her and deleted the account. After that we all assume he's alive and doesn't want to be found. No one has had contact with him since then. It's very heartbreaking for his kids who were small children when he disappeared and believed their dad may have died only to find out as preteen/teen their dad was alive and had actually abandoned them. I lived with my aunt and uncle before their divorce and I was pretty close to him. I can't tell you how many times I swore he wouldn't just dissappear. There was no reason! Finding out he may be living it up in Florida made me very angry, but at the same time a part of me is happy he is alive and I do hope to talk to him one day. It's ridiculous but I want closure so bad even though I know I'd probably just get more upset.

If they regain the memories of their previous life, they loose all recollection of the life they lead while in the Fugue state. For the case of Steven Kubacki, based on what is mentioned in the video, it sounds very similar to him having an episode of Dissociative Fugue. It is a type of disassociative disorder that is marked by an unexpected travel away from home and work, an assumption of a new identity, and the inability to remember the previous identity. Such an episode usually ends when the person 'wakes up' with no memory of what happened in the duration of the fugue. It is somewhat related to Disassociative Amnesia where a person suffers from memory loss due to overwhelming stress.

    So nice of them to reappear after so long, I know when you've been disappeared for a while there's a lot of pressure to be apparent and conspicuous, but here these girls are just winging it and that's so important to everyone who might reappear some day.

    The Darwin case I’ve seen a few times but it’s always fascinating. . Honestly, you have to be sick in the head to lie to your own sons like that. The lads no longer have anything to do with their parents. Can’t say I blame them.
    I’m fascinated by the 2nd and 3rd stories. Two men who go missing, with absolutely no knowledge of what happened to them. I really feel for the Doctor Bates’ wife. Poor lady. But both men must have felt a calling to go elsewhere for whatever reason-as mad as it might have been. The brain is very mysterious and we use so little of it, you’ve got to wonder whether something happened in their brains to trigger the events, and to make them forget afterwards....I’d love to have known what on earth Mr Kubacki has been doing all that time,
