Totally agree, I know she says that they are expensive but it's a balance between initial outlay and ease of piecing these units. Also using templates gives you one size, Deb Tucker's tools give you multiple sizes. And that's with me paying £100 to fill my petrol tank and electricity prices have more than doubled in 6 months, with another large increase forecast in October. Quilting is my only vice so if I can buy something to make it easier I will.
@@MrsGraphiteGal I have a few more vices than just quilting! Gas prices high here in US, but not anywhere near what you guys are going through to include fuel concerns as well. Gird your loins and keep on quilting.
@@notesfromleisa-land Thanks. That's all you can do really! Our government are giving the energy suppliers a one-off payment to deduct off everyone's bill to try and help out but it's a drop in the ocean to the increase.
@@YorkshireLass I have many of Deb's rulers. I learned early on that any block with bias benefits from slightly oversizing and trimming down. Rulers are an investment; but they pay for themselves is less wasted fabric and time, and perfect results every time. And while I have her LeMoyne Star ruler, I forced myself to make perfectly pieced LeMoyne stars (and even master the math to make manifold sizes). Whye? I prefer insets without the seams. It is my favorite block.
Such a beautiful pattern, fabric and quilt.
Thank you! 😊
Very pretty
would love one in Christmas and one in stained glass batiks can u use a jelly roll for this pattern i love your video
Pretty quilt xx
Abby it was so nice to watch you
As an alternative to paper piecing, a Tri-Recs ruler or Deb Tucker's V Block ruler would be good choices to make the triangle in square blocks.

Also she's wasting a LOT of fabric when cutting those pieces out. The Tucker rulers waste very little fabric.
