can we just talk about the fact that her rap verses were so amazing but she also didn't miss one single key of the melody verses? like girl what is that

No kidding. I have been a fan of Maddi Jane since 2010, when she sang Impossible by Shontelle. I knew her version before I knew the Original. I still have it in my playlist. I loved her when she came to the Ellen Show. I will root for you Maddi Jane. Your story wasn't written just now. It began in your songwriting childhood days. You were meant for this!!! I’ve shared her songs with my coworkers and friends to watch her develop!! Now on the voice is so awesome. She writes and produces and music is her life. Yeah, she did a great job, but you really have to hear Raye sing the whole thing. She's phenomenal. She's only a year older than Maddi Jane, and before she became famous as a solo artist, she wrote songs for Beyonce, Rihanna, David Guetta, and even John Legend! This year, she won a record 6 BRIT Awards (kind of like the British Grammys), including Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Incidentally, "Escapism" won the 2023 BRIT Award for Song of the Year.

I found Maddie Jane singing Price Tag by Jessie Jay when she was just a a bit younger than I was so many years ago. I grew older watching this girl build herself. You’re right, she’s so much more than rap or any defined genre. She’s everything. And she soars through it all. Bravo bellissima. Keep going, always. We love to hear you.

It's around the third/fourth time I'm rewatching it and am sure it's not gonna be the last. I really like it! I can totally see her singing almost any genre and also blending them beautifully. I feel she's got it all: vocal range, beautiful tone, refined musical taste, groove, sass, stage presence... no wonder they said she's a star. Totally wanna see lots more of her!
