Steven Spielberg had a say in the Jurassic World movies. He was the one, for example, that wanted the militarized dinosaurs plot and that was long before Trevorrow got involved. All of the history is included in the Jurassic World Ultimate Visual History book.
Yeah, along with Gareth Edwards' involvement in the project and the studios' insistence to FastTrack, the movie doesn't give me a vote of confidence in the film. But if they would have instead gotten a filmmaker in the likes of Dan Trachtenberg, who can offer a back to basics approach while offering something fresh at the same time, I'd be excited
After I read the book for the first time last year I thought that they should wait 5 years & make a remake that’s a closer adaptation of the book. Except instead of a movie, make it a series & call it The InGen Incident
I love Garth Edward only reason why I would watch . His Godzilla 2014 and Rogue One is still my best film of reviling the franchise. To each their own .
I personally find the lost world as my favorite of the series, because it shows the dinosaurs in a " natural" environment, but after that, the series felt dull, and retracting ground. And when I read the synopsis for this new one, it really felt like they further chucked the fear of what the dinosaurs would do, if they got into the larger world. I hope it's good, but I'm not excited.
David Leitch was in talks to direct but parted ways with Jurassic Park because he wanted to do something interesting with the property but Universial just wanted to pump a movie out as fast as possible. It's like the Ian Malcolm quote where they're just copying other people's work to accomplish something as fast as possible so they can just sell it *smacks table* selling it.
I personally thought the animated sequel series to “Camp Cretaceous”, “Chaos Theory”, made up for “Dominion” for better use of dinos in the main land in the story. The hybrid dinos Indominus Rex & Indoraptor were the real psychopaths of the series than Giganotosaurus or “Giga-Man” as I like to call him. It’s also been stated from Trevorrow that after “Fallen Kingdom” there would be no more hybrids.
I’m interested to see what they do with this one. Jurassic park has unlimited potential, and they can make as many stories as they want if they have imagination. Personally I want them to go even further into the science fiction horror
I don’t think it’s going to be “Globetrotting” because it sounds like they’re going directly to that island because of the dinosaurs that are already there whose DNA they need.
Godzilla films don't have a lot of screen time with Godzilla and other monsters but some films make the lack of screen time work. Also the hiding is Godzilla made the fight at the end feel more epic to me. Less is more to Edwards. The 2014 Godzilla definitely felt more Jurassic Park than the Jurassic World movies and I enjoy the World movies for being the big budget B-movies that they are.
Yeah, Edwards hid Godzilla but it heightened my anticipation for the climax. Killing off Bryan Cranston's character Joseph Brody and having Aaron Taylor-Johnson becoming the main character was the movie's biggest mistake in my opinion. Also Aaron Taylor-Johnson's performance was so stiff.
Im not gonna right this off just yet because i like the cast and i like Gareth Edwards so hopefully he can breathe new life into this franchise and I really hated dominion.
I personally enjoy the Jurassic Park/World franchise. The original is, of course, the best but all of the sequels are guilty pleasures of mine. So yeah, this franchise shouldn't really exists as it's unnecessary, but I personally don't really care because I'll still watch them and probably be entertained. The Jurassic World movies are just big budget B-movies but I enjoy them despite how ridiculous and stupid they get.
Gotta call bullshit on this one, all we know about the plot of 3 big dinos vs civilians and mercs. Thats basically it and it already sounds 10x better than Dominion. We have a talented filmmaker, OG writer and a solid cast. I hate contrarianism for the sake of it, two pictures and a logo is what this is going off of. At least Mufasa has two not so hot trailers.
I disagree and i dislike your while channel and attitude personall. I have semi high hopes for this as it it seems to be doing something that none of the Jurassic films have really done including the first. And that is going in depth with the study of living dinosaurs
@@chrisjherman that's literally nothing like what is described in the official plot synopsis. The only thing reminiscent of a past film is yes the pharmaceutical element from dominion but again this film seems to be actually exploring that aspect whare as in dominion it was probably just marketing cover by biosyn.
The people trapped on an island isn't from a past Jurassic Park film? A globe trotting adventure that has the characters going to different places isn't from a Jurassiv World film? I guess I saw different movies 🤣
@@chrisjherman I doesn't necessarily mention globe totting id say this may be more semi trans continental. As the equatorial regions the dinosaurs supposedly thrive in could be a lot of southern lying places. The only people trapped on the island mentioned would be this family which is idea not seen in the franchise unless you count the beginning of the lost world but that's only vaguely similar at best
Fallen Kingdom - Dinos get released to the mainland.
Dominion - It’s totally cool, we figured it out.
Rebirth - Turns out all the Dinos are dying now

@@jurassicpark1fan920 I could’ve thought of that-pay me millions of bucks. Lol.
Mahershala is only in this film because he got tired of waiting around for Marvel to figure how to make ‘Blade’.
It feels like a very odd film for him to star in. Probably an easy pack check though.

Yes, a Dan Trachtenberg type with enough time would be so much better. I don't have a lot of confidence in this either
After I read the book for the first time last year I thought that they should wait 5 years & make a remake that’s a closer adaptation of the book. Except instead of a movie, make it a series & call it The InGen Incident
I would be down for that too!
Waiting for the dinosaurs to start talking at this point
"Alan!".
“Uh, uh, nature finds a way.”
Did you not watch Jurassic Park 3 😂
This franchise's staying power and appeal is Jurassic at this point, for me.
I love Garth Edward only reason why I would watch . His Godzilla 2014 and Rogue One is still my best film of reviling the franchise. To each their own .
He's not the director of Rogue One though. He directed a Rogue One movie we've never see.

I'm expecting the dinosuars to turn into like Disney show Dinosuars, "Not the mama!"

Agreed!
I’m interested to see what they do with this one. Jurassic park has unlimited potential, and they can make as many stories as they want if they have imagination. Personally I want them to go even further into the science fiction horror
I wish they'd just make a new dino movie. I hate that it has to be attached to the JP franchise.
In fairness, the Dino-human hybrid thing has been rumored for at least 10 years.
I don’t think it’s going to be “Globetrotting” because it sounds like they’re going directly to that island because of the dinosaurs that are already there whose DNA they need.
Why did Hollywood reporter put the word "being" in the plot summary? The actual plot released did not say "being"
Fans of the franchise that I watch like Jurassic Outpost are very excited for Gareth Edwards being the director. They really enjoy the 2014 Godzilla.
I really disliked his Godzilla. Why try to hide Godzilla?

Hey Chris. Did u see the movie Blink Twice?
I have not, but I'll try to watch it before the end of the year
doesn't sound too good, just sounds once again they're gonna try to reinvent the Jurassic park wheel instead of going back to basics

Keeping the Jurassic World continuity is a terrible mistake. They wasted the franchise, anything that grows from it is going to be tainted. I'm out
Well said!
Another corpse they keep propping up and parading out there.
I doubt there’s gonna be another hybrid also I believe the movie takes place on a island again.
I hope you're right
Jurassic park serous is like transformers serious … nobody want to see the human 😅
