No you're definitely NOT an engineer. The concrete is 6" thick all over. It appears as a thin ribbon because it's backfilled up to the edges. I remember the good old days when stupid people kept quiet.
They’re pretty fun if you know how to ride them. And yes, especially this layout is a LOT of work, great for leg/cardio day! We came two days in a row and I was soo sore the next day 😆
I getcha, banks and turns are a lot of fun. I have a lot of fun going fast, and this track is great for that. We travel all over the country so I enjoy seeing all different kinds of layouts for pump tracks. They each have they’re own personality! =)
Since it's smooth concrete and not asphalt I would change to big harder wheels like the spitfire 65mm x 99a Beat downs wheels. 😊 Or any harder longboard wheels like hawgs, cloudrides, sector 9's, Rad's, These, Road riders, Kryptonics, etc.

@@lostcoastlongboarding It's not in Cali but relatively close by...It's Kennedy skatepark in Yuma AZ, they did a rebuild of the old skatepark and added new stuff like the pump track, they are doing the grand opening Jan. 4 I'm hoping it'll be at least half as nice as the one in ur vid 😎🙏

Thank you! Pretty sure my board has a 35” wheel base.. longer than most pump track boards so I put rails on it. We are soon releasing a new line of longboards with the same shape but a 31.25 wheel base. It’s going to be perfect for pump tracks!
Thank you, my Kahuna 48 has a 33"WB which is the maximum on my local pumptrack. With a longer WB, i would touch the deck on the red run (stiffer bumps). So i guess you'll be safer around 31. I have to test à Sector Nine 46 in 28WB, there should be no issue.

That’s a ton of bumps before the turn! Track I go to in Carmel valley San Diego is like 1 to 5 bumps max per section before a turn. It’s super tiring so this one must be a crazy leg burner
I had more fun at this one, it’s definitely faster. There are more “bumps” and they’re bigger. Obviously I use a longboard, the board scrapes the ground at the Carmel valley a lot, but not at this one, they made great angles on the features here! 🤙
@ that’s cool, I wouldn’t expect it to be as fun going straight for so long I actually found most fun surf skating is around bankers hill San Diego.. lots of hills and banks , still a good workout but not quite as gnarly as tracks on the legs ha

I hate to be a downer, but unfortunately this wasn’t designed by a skater or BMXer. Straight lines with the same repetitive humps with very little variation. Like my teachers always said, an F is better than a 0. A great place to work out and the little kids will love it at least.
I think this park was specifically designed for racing, the two loops next to eachother and the double yellow. I think they were trying to make a track with its own personality and unique characteristics unlike most of the other pump tracks out there. Mission accomplished this is a fun and unique track! 🙌

You’re totally being a Debbie Downer… not every pump track can be the same. This race layout is very unique, and there is a great skatepark right next to this for anyone who wants to experience more obstacles and skate features 🤙😃
@ We get a skatepark and the old people complain about noise, when really they’d yell at people to get off their grass also, the town shuts it off for “talks”. Talks never materialize meanwhile skatepark goes into disrepair and kids are screwed again by people who just look out their window hating life. Small town life life sometimes has a way of constricting the youth. They were skateboarding outside, not sitting inside staring at a screen.
The whole point of this is physical fitness and exercise… not quite the same as standing on a board and pushing a button, but everyone enjoys something different! Have fun out there 🤙 🔋
So do we need a million on skate park, splash pad, and act like we dont see all the homeless. No way people should be homeless here. All the money is wasted.
This park is good for the community and the kids, I think that’s what they’re investing in. Plus, I think the homeless people will probably love the splash pad when it’s 115 degrees in the summer sun ☀️ 😃!

The gravel on the sides looks like potential problems. Crashing skateboards will shoot rocks onto the path then someone has to clear it off.
