For the past 13 years, whenever I've found myself in a musical rut, this has been my go-to source of comfort, reminding me of the incredible and inspiring talent of these guys and what music is supposed to make you feel, thank you
It's May 2020. Once this pandemic is over and things go back to "normal"... the world needs you Josh, John, Dave and Alain. Please, a TCV album and tour, your music will heal many souls.
In the JPJ finale you can hear the quintessence of music genius. The movement to the last chord is enough to put JPJ at the top of a mountain. I'm sure Josh is thinking the same, by the look in his eyes. OMG
That look that Josh gives JPJ after the piano solo is basically the epitome of how all of us feel after experiencing this masterpiece of a performance.... GAHT DAM.
Josh and Dave must have been in rock heaven getting to do that album and tour with their hero JPJ. Dave especially had big Bonzo boots to fill. He did an incredible job. I bet JPJ never thought he'd get close to those Zep heights ever again. He damn near did though.
I think on part of this album he is just a session musician. There is ongoing discussion of a second album, and by no doubt if this happens he will make his mark on that album.
that's probably a part of why he's in the band, joshua always seems to give artists that he feels r underrated or just a plain good artist a place to shine while throwing his tasty sauce all over everything.
Been a huge fan of QOTSA forever - no disrespect to any of the drummers that have played or play with them but Josh just has a different energy when Dave is behind him. Fantastic performance.
That was fuckin amazing. And now that I know Alain Johannes, it makes it all that better. Dave leaves his body and soul on those drums, playing with one of his idols. And Josh's look of satisfaction is wonderful. How incredible.
while JPJ was playing majesticly the keys, i was crying. But not just crying for nothing. I cried because i can say now that they've created something that is so good, so intense, so creative, so beatiful to listen... Well, ROCK IS ALIVE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. Good night and have a nice day.
Man, I love this song so much it reminds me some of Jethro Tull's songs as well as having that early QOTSA (Queens Of The Stone Age) feel. Not to mention, those vocals from Josh Homme's are amazing.
Four masterpieces of rock music and goddamn badasses too! I can't handle all this perfection. They all seem so happy across playing the song. I hope they do more sometime.
Yeah, Led Zeppelin is the backbone of hard rock these days. Kind of how Kyuss is the backbone of anything Josh has done, or Nick, or anyone in Kyuss for that matter.
So wonderfully twisted.driving.it gets wedged in my head for a week at a time.AWESOME.there is so much good about it i could blow out about it for ages.that is quality music.thanks for posting
Self indulgence?Lengthy? Possibly! Innovative!S bit scary in places?!A fantastic journey!? Incredible entertainment!? You better believe it! I was loving J.P.J's bass playing back invthe 70's with Led Zeppelin when i was a teenager too!
Wow! This is just amazing JPJ is awesome on the bass and Dave Grohl was a freak on the kit. Dave is my biggest inspiration as a musician especially as a drummer. I just got his signature stick and it feels amazing.
This band is the living proof of rock greatness when muscicians from different rock ages come together and jam makes one realize that no other music genre can accomplish such talent levels I'm in awe!!!!!
Absolutely, when I saw them in Auckland, his solo that he did after the intermission was one of my favourite performances from the night. Total baddassery.
At 00:34 you see the face of true musicianship. He literally makes the face of the sound of the bass. That bass took a big sh*t right in front of dave lmao😄🤙

@@realdeathpony hahaha hahaha..
Seriously?..
Seriously you seriously believe the story that you were told
@@thatsnotmebear5684 why so serious
Johannes' vocal harmony is incredible during the I just may never come down's. Absolutely amazing.
I'll go on a limb here and say he's my favorite musician in history.
One of my favorite parts from any song ever. Chills every time
Alain is a genius
It's even better than layered vocal tracks. Johannes and Hommes are both great here.
Came here to say exactly this
Man Johannes has played alongside one crazy list of musicians in his career
And I hope they all feel rightfully honored to have shared his stage.
@@Cubroncs03 for sure, never heard or seen a bad word about the man
definitely some of Homme's strongest vocal work, fuckin' amazing
Agreed
How about now
The world needs Them Crooked Vultures back - more than ever. I've watched this an unhealthy number of times. Need more, please.
Truly unbelievable drumming by Grohl. Not to mention there's so much talent on that stage. Masterpiece of a performance.
How about the fact Alain Johanness is in this fucking band as well.
I hate how the cameras just ignore him, he's such an amazingly talented musician

OMG
Mr. John Paul Fucking-Jones

@Gavin Farmer :)
About to be my wallpaper
Josh and Dave must have been in rock heaven getting to do that album and tour with their hero JPJ. Dave especially had big Bonzo boots to fill. He did an incredible job. I bet JPJ never thought he'd get close to those Zep heights ever again. He damn near did though.
Daves going apeshit with those triplets!
which part?
Absolutely LOVE IT!
@@Benjamin-om3ih the triplets are the parts at like 9:40ish. Just to answer you two years late!
@@benplayssongs8849 Thank you, Ben!
What's a triplet
Dave is an unstoppable machine
In terms of structure, this is kind of like the 'Misfit Love' of TCV
This song is badass
McFro95 you’re right
Agree 100%
"I'm so high
I just
May

How I feel watching all of these amazing musicians in their element
yeah, I just wish he was more recognized for what he does. Johannes is an awesome musician.
I think on part of this album he is just a session musician. There is ongoing discussion of a second album, and by no doubt if this happens he will make his mark on that album.
@@jformaldehydem I die for the second album!

@@dEAthlikEstAtic I think Alain was a big reason Josh ever became the musician he is, been there since the desert

So bizarre that there’s now another Josh drumming behind Dave.
JPJ had to be having flashbacks of Bonham while Dave was punishing his kit
One of the most underrated TCV tracks without a doubt. Homme Jones Johannes Grohl - supergroup of unrivalled proportions ever. The Axis of FuckYeah!!
Even the computer couldn't understand how is talent even possible
this is the first time in a long time that i see josh truly truly enjoying a show
Dave's insane! JPJ's a GOD!
Cannot access this funct
The computer just couldn't handle this absolute masterpiece.
Hahahahahah
Man, can you imagine what more the sound of this band woulda been with Natasha S. right beside Alain with her signature tilted keyboard.
That would of been awesome.
this is rock at its finest.... these people are burning the mother fuckin house down
Grohl is such a beast!
So much talent on one stage...Amazing that is what they are
What kind of jerks toss advertisement right in the middle of a jam. I would never buy that product ever.
No. Fucking. Shit. Like RIGHT when it went from really really good to fucking epic, and then they had to drop that shit right in the middle of it.
@@evanisovich just happened to me. Worst. Feeling. Ever.

I'm pretty sure Josh would bitch slap you for mentioning jethro tull in the same sentence as QOTSA.
One of the best bands and albums of all time.
wow that 13 mins went by really fast, unreal song this band is so amazing live
I got chills up my spine watching this. Incredible.
Jeff Ament and Matt Cameron (rhythm section of Pearl Jam) spotted on side stage @ 9:40
Love Jeff. And I love Matt's work in both pearl jam and Soundgarden.
the sound of impending doom...beautiful
My favourite song off an incredible album. It's SO fucking good. Absolutely EPIC 🔥🙌🏻💯🤘🏻
Dave’s drums sound fucking incredible. Goddamnit… Every time.
Dave drums like Animal and I'm so here for it
this is on my Time Machine List.
Dave is an absolute BEAST on that drum kit! Wow, just wow!
Dave is something else
All hail john paul jones
That shit was FUCKING. BANANAS.
Not enough how big this band was they bring extraordinary bonus-guitar wizard Alain Johannes

i'd say JPJ has had a pretty good life
He's got money , respect and a legacy to be proud of
Isn't that what "New Orleans" is about?
We should be so fortunate.
