Have you watched the live in Japan by Qotsa in 2002 ? Troy Van Leeuwen and josh homme improvised at around 7:00 on « walking the side walks » and it’s f***ing crazy. If you haven’t watched it, watch it’s worth listening.
I just love how this song is so clever and encompasses so many great 'Homme' elements. The leads could be little sister qotsa, the lyrics and melody foreshadow stuff like 'if i had a tail', the middle section has that vibe post-pop depression has, like Iggy could step in at any moment. Songs for the deaf was and is a masterpiece, but the longer I listen to TCV, the more I believe this was the top of his game.
What a KILLER live performance........i'm in AWE watchin Jonesy still kick ass on bass, like no other......him and Dave provide Josh SUCH an AWESOME rhythm section to play with.....probly my fav on the album, and this live perf DONT disappoint!!!.......i'd love to know the name of their 2nd guitar/key dude, he's quite tasty with his short lead....PHENOMINAL super group!!!....just WOW!!
That’s Alain Johannes he’s literally rock and rolls secret weapon everything he touches turns to gold he worked with QOTSA, arctic monkeys, Mark lanegan, pearl jam, soundgarden, produced chris cornell first solo album and was a founding member of what is this which later became RHCP
Each instrument is amazing.solid crisp tight drums.roaming phat funky solid bass.guitar sounds i am driven mad by.the tone.where it is in the music.the distortions.searing.relentless.vocals are anazing.harmonies.the high pitch is mesmerizing.the backing effects.like a modern cream.i need another album.or tour.....in australia....couldnt get to the gig first time around.still kicking myself.thanks for posting
id kill, literally kill to see them playing live too bad they didnt came down my country... and too bad they are not together but i will be patient until they rejoin forces
I'm afraid Them Crooked Vultures just showed their fans here that it's not just about the music anymore...I'm afraid they've gone to sexual territory and made it about sexual experiences with instruments.
How the world didn't explode when they were together is a miracle.
nateisbaked their music is the explosion. And it was a damn beautiful one
No SHIT!
Josh Homme is one of the big rock geniuses of the last two decades
indeed he is
Also an arrogant fucker, but most rockstars are, so...Im.just here for the music
3 decades
John Paul Jones is a god. Still kills it on the bass
Getting better and better and having so much fun on stage ♡¡so nice to watch to
He kills on many instruments and is skilled on production, orchestration, you name it,too
Alain should be a full band member
I love bands whose songs obviously came from fun as hell jam sessions amongst friends.
Nothing better than seeing hugely talented musicians truly digging their music on stage
John is truly enjoying himself...what a great pay off for him. Talent talent talent.
♡ I thought the same
I get such a Cream vibe from this song, and what a great jam session.
What songs of Cream?
Dude, first thing i thought of when i bought the album yrs ago....TOTAL Cream influence!!!...you nailed it sir!!
It sounds a little bit like Cream... Nice!!
Very Cream Influence!
Yep!
Josh has a cool guitar playing style. Very unique the way he plays, I think
The fact that these guys don’t get more recognition for forming this beautiful band tells you everything you need to know about society
Noah Wooten and music industry
They only did one album. Maybe because of that they aren't more mediatics.
Josh creates a new band every year it seams
When Josh and Alain go back and forth in the jam at 6:25 I started to lose my mind, now these are musicians.

Never seen Homme shred this spectacularly. Jaw dropping
thats Alain... beyond talanted.
Totally! And, John Paul Jones is one of the big rock geniuses of the last five decades!
*WHAT A SEXY BASSLINE. Jonesy is amazing*
Dave is an absolute beast on the drums.
Best version of the song, ever.

@haz020190 Alain Johannes! :)
If anyone has any footage that hasn't degraded of TCV I would love to get a copy of it. Cheers
Josh Homme has this sinister vocal thing going on like Jack Bruce from that 60's band Cream. Would like to hear the C. Vultures do White Room.
5 minute jam, starts going main song again, straight into final solo. Just awesome that they can keep up the steam like that! :)
John Paul Jones is one the greatest musicians of the past forever
Dave Grohl with Friends 🥁🎸👊❤️🙏😊
All I can think of to say is "AMAZING"...that, kids, is MUSIC...

Drum beat and bass go together soooo well... Love this song!

Long live
Man thats what i call a cool kick ass band!

His creative input would add something fucking amazing. Him and JPJ jamming, man, I would fucking pay any amount of money to see that,
best version ever.
My new Zeppelin..... LOVE.
AMAZING
Wow. Mind blown.
Dave one of the best!!!
Four beasts.
Absolutely insane.
Godlike....
WHY DID IT TAKE ME THIS LONG TO FIND HEAVEN?
Band's best solos. And John Paul's best performance in TCV.
Perhaps. But I have to admire Dave's perseverance, he works all the bloody time. He's one of the best drummers but certainly not THE best.
7:55 Dave just goes ham on those drums but it just makes it better!
JPJ!!!
he still got it, but the vocals are weak
awesome jam in the middle of the song!!!
You might think me altruistic, feel my dark hypnosis closing in
Why 240p??? And it's the only version on youtube!
great
💕
at 5:00 is .... hell hes a genius !
The best version of scumbag blues
Can I at least get a TCV live album?
Great!
Damn JPJ!!!! Whoa!
great shit. thanks for the post
I swear Dave thinks no one can hear his drums so he has to go harder.
ok i just wowed
John Paul Jones looks like my dad. But he is about 100000000000000 times cooler.
*if he were your daddy I would love to be your mother haha*
uhm, dave is one of the greatest drummers to grace earth with his presence and an amazing song writer sooo no
5:09 he went somewhere else, and whatever he saw it was BEAUTIFUL
When jpj sings 😳😳😳😳😳🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵
i was there!!!!!!!!!!! they rule

Saw them live and it was an incredible show! But this it's mostly a Cream song. But, I love it.
@shadowskillz88 love these guys!!, you should check out casper and the howling, down on my knees
HOLY FUCK
This is godly
fuck, i've seeen some live versions of this, but that wah heavy riff is sexxxxxxx
thats a good touch
holy shit
Something tells me they got a bit bored playing the same songs and decided to turn it up 15,000 notches.
Just me, or does Josh Homme’s falsetto sound uncannily like Jimmy Somerville?
because john paul jones is there. They are all awestruck
woooww man lets not get carried away
They're listening....
Dunnow if it's unique, but cool, for sure ! I love his right hand technique !
No dislikes? Not surprised.
dat manson bass
that sound makes me jump without reason :v
It almost looks like josh is wearing the pick of destiny around his neck. Its hard to see what it actually is in this quality ;)
kyle manson it's dog tag sayin baby duck i thought
If you listen and don't watch the video, you can imagine Herbert from family guy singing this...
1:22...yes Dave
Heard that one too...more like "Strange Brew" from this P.O.V. Good tribute just the same I suppose. :)
That crowd sucks! How can you be so quiet at such a concert?!
@Omusicsam4O yoo :) uw stuk : 1:07 en 7:38 in deze versie hoort ge het wel niet zo goed. Maar als ge goed luistert ... ;)
dave grohl fucking kick ass !
