I watch this video everytime I have an issue with the repeater mode (far too often) and it's always very helpful to get a quick refresher. Thanks! I'm going to be setting it up as an access point this time to see if it's more reliable since I still don't understand why it periodically fails every month or so as a repeater when it has a good signal throughout the initial setup. Each time I have to reset it and go through the setup process again for it to work 🤷
I went from confusion after just reading the instructions., to clarity after watching your video. Thank you for helping to bring peace to my home. There is less whining and crying about the terrible internet.😂
If you’re not getting a good signal from your existing WiFi, can you install a directional antenna, then repeat that? Can you replace one of the 4 antennae with a directional antenna?
Didn't have the same model, but they're roughly the same. Feel all these have terrible instructions to work with, so thanks for the thorough explanation
Hello, would it be possible to set up one of this unit as a router to setup a ad-hoc network and use another of the same unit as repeater to extend the ad-hoc network reach?
Going to send mines back and get this one because mines won't allow me to plug in something else only one port So K am happy to see this one and I am going to get it Tomorrow lom
RDAllen I have it on repeater mode. I have it all set up but occasionally while I am on a tablet or PC I get disconnected but I have full bars at all times so I don’t get what’s wrong. I have even reset it as well
Oh your using repeater mode, it is possible the repeater is loosing connection to your main router but your computer would still have a full connection to the repeater. Do you have a wired connection to the repeater? If so don't use Repeater mode.
RDAllen I have the version Fios router in my basement and the quantum WiFi extender in my living room. I have the wavlink extender in my family room on repeater mode. I followed your foot steps and have the wavlink connected and there are full bars but eventually I get kicked off all my devices that have the wavlink extender connected too
Actual video for router starts s 5:00 and ends at 8:42 for you impatient people, ur welcome and thanks for the detailed video.
Thanks for this… literally a 4 min video made into 18 mins …

Thankyou very much, I threw my extender into the back of my drawer a tear ago till I came across this....now my extender works perfect
Glad it helped!
That walkthrough just sold two of them, though they seem to be branded "wavlink" now. Very informative, thank you, sir!
i cant connect to the ap setup browser please help

I suppose you could, better off installing more access points if you ask me!
@@radozeman, In my case, I have a small area far from the source where I want coverage.
Didn't have the same model, but they're roughly the same. Feel all these have terrible instructions to work with, so thanks for the thorough explanation
I've noticed that!
Thanks for the great video, it was very helpful. Unfortunately I can't find these anywhere lol. Popular.
Thanks for the help, I forgot the procedure.
Can a lan connection to a desktop work while it's working as a repeater?
In wifi extender mode, can you connect it to a laptop using the wan port...sort of a wired connection.
If I understand what your trying to do yes, but use the LAN port.
Great Video! Set up the unit in no time! Thank You!
Cool!
Excellent video, thank you. Very clear.
Thank You. I almost order the wrong device. The AP LAN option is the one I wanted.
I couldn’t connect to ap.setup. How did you do that????
It says no browser available
Make sure your not connected to any other networks! Also try Restarting your computer with it connected.
RDAllen my WAN & LAN lights are on, how do I fix this?
Hello, would it be possible to set up one of this unit as a router to setup a ad-hoc network and use another of the same unit as repeater to extend the ad-hoc network reach?
I don’t see why not.
RDAllen i guess I’ll give it a try. Thx
wow i thought this was comedian Brent Morin haha you could be twins.
Great Job!!!
Thanks!

So 2.4Ghz can go through walls way better than 5Ghz
So you have 5Ghz so the signal has trouble going through walls very well.
That is true yes, but 5Ghz is also faster. Plus I have both 2.4 and 5.
Hi, can we set a password for the repeater? Can some on help me.. :(
The password for the repeater would be the same as main WiFi password
With 5ghz repeater you can get the full internet speed without cables
5ghz means nothing, what you need is AC or WiFi 6.
@@radozeman I have 60 mbps download speed internet so my mi router can get full internet speed
At 60mbps G or WiFi 2 would almost be sufficient.
@@radozeman I have wifi n in my tablet so 20 mbps is good
The phones have ac so they can get 60 mbps
My WAN & LAN lights aren’t lit up, what am I doing wrong?
WAN light should on be on the first main router, as for the LAN lights not being on, possibly bad wire, something wrong with the interface config?
