Well sir, three years after you made this video, you inadvertently helped me troubleshoot an issue. I bought this unit several months ago, and just now have had time to install it. After spending hours installing it on top of a barn next to our house, I had only a power light showing on the unit. I worked with it for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. I kept thinking "It must be necessary to have an ethernet cable connected directly to the router to set it up", which in my case, was not possible. Then I watched your video and saw that you had a wifi signal from your device just plugging it in on the kitchen table. So I went back up the ladder to the unit, unscrewed the bottom of it, held the reset button on the unit, for a second time, and this time I held it for about 15 seconds. Low and behold, the rest of the lights showed up, and then the Wavlink network appeared in my list of networks. I had almost come to the conclusion that I had a faulty unit, but after watching your video, decided to try one more time with the reset option. Thanks!
Hello Sir,,u r so patience,I love your Shed also.it,s beautiful, I Purchased one or these wave link also, I,m just waiting on it to come in from eBay or Amazon, one of them I ordered from, I,m needing it to extend to my Pub shed as well,i can,t get the firestick or RUclips or any online on my TV in there,or partway in my backyard even,i wish u could set mine up, but I know that,s impossible,i will download your video instructions & do my best to follow them.thank u sir for your video on this wifi gadget.🤓
Thanks for the video and review. I buy one of this from aliexpress. It works for some time very then get very ver very slow. No apparent reason. I setup the new firmware WN570HA1-A1-RPT70HA1.V4300.200716-WEBC from wavlink site and stil getting 5-6megas. Where in the same place with my phone I got 30megas. The specs are good, maybe I got bad luck with the hardware....
I have one. I can't figure out why my main router gives me over 200Mbps but only 10 mbps on the Wavlink. Thought it was my cables. Nope. Thought it was the POE. Nope. I'm right next to it and I only get 10mbps. I tried other routers and they work great nearly matching the speed of the main router. Why is WAVLINK so damn slow. Really disappointed.

For a bridge like it looks like your setup is recommend like the uniquiti nano stations they are directional but if that's what you are using them for they work great
Unboxing with all of the long winded gum bashing about the quality of a cardboard box does absolutely nothing for me. I know how to get a device out of a box and plunging it in is on a similar interest level. All I want to know is if it works or not and how well..... I just spent all afternoon trying to get mine to work and to be honest it was a complete failure.Couldn't connect via the software log in so pull my finger.
Hello Note… My important questions below are pertaining to a somewhat similar Wavelink Wi-Fi range extender… Wavelink AC 1200… It’s the weatherproof 4 antenna unit for outdoor use I live in my motorhome and I have no Wi-Fi or broadband here....and my motorhome is about 300 feet away from my bosses office which DOES have Wi-Fi and broadband My boss will NOT allow me to plug anything into his router and he will NOT give me his router password but I DO have his Wi-Fi guest network password So I have the password for my bosses guest Wi-Fi network when I walk over there to my bosses office his guest Wi-Fi network appears on my phone and I enter the password and I just connect to it with my iPhone I don’t think I have a user account for his guest Wi-Fi network my boss just gave me the password and when I see the guest Wi-Fi network on my iPhone I enter the password and I’m connected The only problem is that I live in my motorhome 300 feet away the best solution is probably to mount your antenna extender on the roof right above the area where his router is (One story building) so the question is using my iPhone and your 4 antenna extender can I download your app and somehow connect your antenna to my bosses wi-fi guest network and then extend the signal wirelessly 300 feet to my motorhome? remember I cannot plug anything into his router and he will not give me his router password only the guest Wi-Fi network password I am desperately awaiting your reply thank you so much I really want to buy this extender but I wanted to make sure that it’s gonna work in my unusual circumstances before buying it It’s probably important for you to know that assuming that I can set it up in app mode or whatever to the guest Wi-Fi network will it stay connected once I walk 300 feet with my iPhone in my pocket back to my motorhome or does my iPhone have to be near the antenna all the time? The Admin page of the Wavlink AC600 is only http not https. So any password used there is vulnerable for attack.

Bought 4 repeaters from Amazon, this unit was the only one capable of sending a google signal 300 meters away. The other units failed after 50 or so.

What if you don't pick up the wavlink network ? Plugged in, went to wifi choices on my phone and it did not come up.

My new ac600 dont woks. The device only sends the signal at 60 meters . Only 2 trees stand in the way.

Your outdoor audio was tough to hear, what were the distances you said?
183 metres with some obstacles, trees etc and 694 metres with line of sight no obstacles
