hey, so I did everything ass you said buy my issue is that when I test my internet connection on my ps4 it says internet connection failed and I can’t play
OMG 😱 I very rarely leave any comments however I just HAD to here to say thank you!!! I have 2 of these same tp-link extenders because of dead zones in the basement and 3rd floor of my house - and was about to throw these away and buy new ones because all they did was try to connect to the _EXT network which never worked right or not at all!! But after looking at your video I took the EXT off and they now work perfectly!! Thanks again
Hey Douglas, Thanks for the detailed tutorial on setting up the TP-Link N300 WiFi extender. Your video was really helpful in understanding the process. I'm thinking of getting one for my home, and your step-by-step instructions make it seem quite straightforward. Before I go ahead, I have a couple of questions: 1. Did you experience any drop in internet speed after setting up the extender, or has it been consistent? 2. How far is the range of this extender? Does it cover a large area? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for sharing this video.
You have THE BEST explanation of all the videos. I watch so many that were either over my head or left steps out. THANK YOU!!!!! (I'm saving this video)
Thank you so much! I had been screwing around with this for several days and was ready to throw it away. Had it up and running in about 10 minutes. You are fantastic!
Great video!! I was not able to find my instructions to reset my TP-Link extender after I switched Internet service providers and was able to reprogram my WiFi extender. Thank you sir!
I'm glad you spoke on the ethernet situation. Many people think you just plug it into the wall and will have amazing results. Extenders SHOULD use ethernet for the best results, and the REPEATER is what you don't need ethernet for. Granted, they'll both work wirelessly, but if you ever looked at the differences in speeds with and without being wired, you're pretty much losing money and giving up better connection if you don't have ethernet attached to an extender.
I just bought one to go in my back bedroom , internet isn't good cause the kitchen appliances are stopping wifi to my back bedroom so hopefully this works for me . Thank you much for sharing this video . Stay healthy and be safe
First of all I want to say I appreciate your video and helped me out a lot because I had just bought one on on the 6th of July I appreciate it because I didn't know how to go about it but watching your video thank you very much I appreciate
Thanks for the clear explanation! I ordered mine on Amazon 2 days ago and it is arriving today. I already have the Tether app so it should be a breeze. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this video, I'm currently looking for an extender for my upstairs bedroom. My Fire Stick is struggling up there. This was very helpful!!
Thanks for this video I really needed this because WiFi downstairs is trash and I didn’t know if I should buy a WiFi extender and I didn’t know if you can run Ethernet cable though it to like a PS4 incredible video ✊🏾
Tkx dude, I dont think mine even came with a booklet. I looked up tp-link videos, came across urs. I would hook ethernet to it but dont know where to find L O N G cords to buy :-( U made it look so easy, TY~!~
I don't know if this is the problem or not with your WPS troubles, but when connecting with WPS, the extender has to be right next to the router. Once it connects, you can unplug it and plug it back in wherever you need it.
I have a question so I start this work from home job Thursday and it’s required to be hard wired I ordered this exact extender and I have a long Ethernet cable will i be able use this ? And will it work good ?
Hey unsure if you will respkdn but does it act slow when many people are in the extender I kinda wanna get one for the edge of the house where the back yard is when I'm outside grilling
Thinking about getting this WiFi extension, out of all the ones I’ve seen, this one has to be the best working and the best price. What was previous connection speed like in that room before you got this device?
Thanks for the video bro. I set this thing up and I can find it on my network. It's still plugged near router which is in living room and my dead zone is the bedroom. Should I unplug extender and plug it in bedroom after set up?
Not sure if I’m doing something wrong. The dead zone in my house got a little bit better but not by much. The area around my router has 30ish mbps, and the dead zone now has 6-9 mbps because of the extender. Is there a way to improve it any more?
Thank you for the review...I plan to get the booster...I only get dsl around 15mbps ...I am hoping this gives me better speeds...I need to get better upload speeds and download
Any where it's a extender for your router it's basically like a second router and I recommend getting a ethernet cable for it and plug it into to what ever device you use I'm sorry I responded late hope your problem got fixed!
God bless y’all, Do you know the why extender it’s not boosting the WiFi MBPS, I follow all the instructions and my WiFi still giving out the same speed. Any help?
I'm not a tech guru, but an extender doesn't boost speed. It only extends the strength of the signal and the range into rooms further away from the main router. If you want a speed increase, you'll need to pay your ISP (Comcast, ATT, etc) for more mbps.
Michael Jacksion yeah I’m not gaming on a WiFi repeater. My xbox is hardwired into the main modem. If that’s not an option, it better be damn close on the WiFi.
I have a gaming pc that requires an ethernet cable to have internet and google fiber router that doesn't support WPS for security reasons. Any ideas what I can do?
Wow what a nice setup with your cables. How long did it take you to set them all up that way? I've never been able to get my cords all together like that. It must take some planning.
I have the exact TP link you have and also the exact same phone. I push wps on my modem router then on the TP link twice 2 minutes between and I went to my settings on my phone and clicked connections and the TP link isn't showing
So i have a ethernett cable coming out of the wall in the garage. But for some reason it isnt picking up the wifi And the cable is connected at the other end
I'm not gettingt good speed. It's only 10 mbps. Is there something else additional that you didn't cover in your video I read something about changing the SSID different from what the router is
I wanted to move my setup in my room but it’s weak without a Ethernet so I wanted to buy this to use it as a portable router so I connect it here to my PS4 in my room, instead of the living room which is wear the router is, without being near my router.
Actually if you can run an ethernet cable, an access point would probably be a better option since an extender lowers speed at expense for distance, whereas a ethernet wired connection doesn't That said I prefer a multifunction router so there's more customization

@@demar9951 Yes. I haven't had any problems with reception in the front of my house since I put it in. Well worth the investment.

Correct, connecting via Ethernet is best results for better speed on extending the range of WiFi with the device. Good Review

Thank you for this video. I changed my internet service provider and was stuck on switching the connection until this video. Awesome.
I got mine today. Pretty good. Lucky when i bought amazon was having half off sale. So i jumped on it. What could I lose. 15 bucks. Well worth it
Great instructions. Additional details and info was helpful. I had the same issue with my WOW gateway WPS
