Unfortunately I feel that todays American workers are under the foot of Wall Street investors. Wall Street investors dump their shares if they are not seeing the profits they want. In other words if investors are forced to have 10-20 million dollar yachts instead of 100-500 million dollar yachts they dump the shares of those companies. Kinda sad and greedy. Thoughts?

Hey @ tomwillis9051 you must be management because you sound really DUMB have ever worked at UPS ??? it’s damm hard work.I’ve been there for 29 years. When I started there it was $8.00 dollars an hour and now it’s $21.00 an hour .I’ve EARNED EVERY PENNY OF MY RAISE.The CEO of the company earns nearly $20 million dollars with all of the stock options & incentive bonuses & her base salary is $ 1.5 million dollars which means most of that compensation is FLUFF !!! Fluff off the backs of hard working Teamsters .What really going on is the move to automated buildings. They have to justify the cost by pulling volume out of some buildings either by reducing hours of labor or getting rid of entire shifts then putting that work into automated buildings .So when the CEO literally says she has to pay for that contract with the Teamsters in an interview SHE CAN PAY FOR IT BY GIVING BACK SOME OF HER BIG COMPENSATION PACKAGE SHE GETS EVERY YEAR !!! But I guess in your mind BIG RAISES FOR A CEO IS OK BECAUSE THATS CAPITALISM but BIG RAISES FOR REGULAR WORKING STIFFS IS GREED ????
GET OUT OF HERE WITH YOUR NONSENSE !!!

Thanks to unions, they are to blame for these layoffs, it was bad timing to redo the contract and ups is getting less money, so of course they will cut jobs. Give it some time, the autoworkers will be next.
