Unfortunately I feel that todays American workers are under the foot of Wall Street investors. Wall Street investors dump their shares if they are not seeing the profits they want. In other words if investors are forced to have 10-20 million dollar yachts instead of 100-500 million dollar yachts they dump the shares of those companies. Kinda sad and greedy. Thoughts?

Fluff off the backs of hard working Teamsters .What really going on is the move to automated buildings. They have to justify the cost by pulling volume out of some buildings either by reducing hours of labor or getting rid of entire shifts then putting that work into automated buildings .So when the CEO literally says she has to pay for that contract with the Teamsters in an interview SHE CAN PAY FOR IT BY GIVING BACK SOME OF HER BIG COMPENSATION PACKAGE SHE GETS EVERY YEAR !!! Everything that UPS owns is on wheels or maybe loaded in their trailers to move . Their docks , shop buildings , and offices are not much more than pole barns . The bean counters supply freight flow information to the higher ups , they make the decisions .

I had a cousin who worked for UPS before the days of smart phones and GPS tracking devices,he used to spend hours at my residence when he was in the area of my residence hanging out with his aunt who was my mother!! This was in the late 70’s-through the 1980’s and I remember him telling us that the days when GPS tracking and Smart phones would come out,UPS would find out that they didn’t need the employees as much as what they hired and there would be cutbacks!!
That’s what you pay union dues for. And considering that hourly rates are above the national average, would imagine that most employees were saving for a rainy day. But, if not keeping up with world financial news, this is not a surprise at all. It was/is actually a wake up call to in fact have been preparing right after COVID.
