    Thanks a lot! I had to design a radar dome, this video has been immensely helpful.

    Great tutorial! I was looking to create something just like this to add to my studio project. I made the dome and deleted some pieces to make it into more of a wall/canopy to block direct sunlight from my main building, and it made for an interesting design. Love how it turned out!

    Looks like a really good tutorial but so hard to follow with it being out of sync, I got lost once you created the planarsrf.

    How about with a more dynamic curvy pattern structure onto the dome (instead of compound shapes like triangles)?
    Appreciate any tips you could give! :)

    Another issue that I have with it, is that when I planarsrf this it keeps telling me there is intersecting input and planar srf on the ground

      @DCOParametric  3 года назад

      Yes, you are right. this is not a geodesic dome. Its similar result. check out my recent videos for geodesic domes

    How can you make it into a squared pattern rather than a triangular?

    • @DCOParametric
      @DCOParametric  3 года назад

      the pattern was shifted to create a diagonal grid for triagulation. My suggestion would be not to rotate the alternate points and create a square frame and develop that way

    Why my rotate didn’t work😢 (to offset those points)

    • @DCOParametric
      @DCOParametric  Год назад

      Make sure you rotate half the angle

    • @yunning_
      @yunning_ Год назад

      @@DCOParametric My rotate works now(cuz I chose the curve instead of the points therefore I can’t see it rotates😂) but now I have problem with planarsrf the block, it warns me self intersecting curves were found and suggests to use curve Boolean processing but the generated face just didn’t fit the block…I’m 100% sure I drew the lines correctly

    Really helpful tutorial! How would you go about wrapping this around over volumes besides a dome? I have a polysurface I would like this pattern to take the shape of. Any help would be great :)

      you would take similar steps. But, if you can send me an email with your question at dcographicstudio@gmail.com and I can help you directly. 👍

    • @MjaySenoj
      @MjaySenoj 4 года назад +1

      you have to type divide first and click the sphere until you find the edge where the curve are hiding

    • @DCOParametric
      @DCOParametric  2 года назад

      I agree, this is one of my first videos here. Its not as clear as I want it to be now, but I will remake it soon. Thanks for the feedback. The idea of this video is to project any points and create a dome.
