I love Saturn's death so much not only for finally getting what he deserved, but also for the irony that he views anyone beneath the celestial dragons as nothing more than insects that can be replaced no matter how many you kill, but the second he caused a major blunder, he's killed and is instantly replaced by another celestial dragon. It's both ironic and terrifying that even the Gorosei themselves can be disregarded and replaced by Imu on a whim.
Imu rules the Gorosei through fear which is scary cause the Gorosei are already very strong. You would think Joyboy lost to Imu directly so many years ago.

The only problem I have with the idea that all the Gorosei we've seen being from the Void Century is the way they spoke about the Nika fruit. Maybe this is just a translation thing, but from the way they talked it seemed like they had recieved this information from another source rather than experiencing it firsthand. "The fruit was given another name" "The government has tried to obtain it" not "We renamed it" or "We tried to obtain it".
Exactly, they have more second hand knowledge of the fruit and they didn't recognize Emeth even though he was part of Joyboy's crew so at least some of them aren't as old as the void century.
Isn't this chapter may also confirm to the readers that the current gorosei is not from the void century, maybe some of the gorosei live long enough than the others but not during the void century.
@Beamken The Void "Century" is 100 years. Century literally means a hundred years. It ended 800 years before the current timeline is what confused you 😊

Garling's promotion may answer one of the questions the fans have been asking for years: just what is the point or of what use are the celestial dragons in the grand scheme of things? From the beginning they have been shown to be nothing more than amoral, hedonistic megalomaniacs with literal god complex that are just there to burn money and make people's life miserable, with the five elders being the only exemption. However throughout the series and specially in more recent chapters we have been presented with Celestial Dragons that are not only mosters in the moral sense but monsters in terms of strength and wisdom: the five elders, Doflamingo, Garling and possibly Shanks, Shanks of course being the only moral one in the list if it is confirmed that he is one which seems to be the case. I don't know but here's seems to be something about them that in time they produce individuals with great power, maybe there's something in the air in the holy land or there's something effective about the possible inbreeding that's going on there after all. In any case this may point at the possibility that their true purpose is to produce said exceptional members for Imu to pick (like fruits) and turn them into whatever they are for him/her to control and by extension use them to control the world in his/her behalf, not to mention that they become living wmd's capable of great destruction through whatever type of power Imu seems to grant them.

Could be from times from even before the void century, when the Sun God Nika was actually a thing, and other gods were around as well. It would be interesting if Imu was the only and oldest entity that actually stuck around.
Wildman Guessing Theory: maybe Imu is some kind of new type of devil fruit that was based on nightmares and fear instead of positive emotions. I think it might be the will of a Satan like figure that is the forever opponent of Nika that can possess people that eat its devil fruit.
My theory since Saturn's arrival on Egghead, is that Imu has an ability that allows him to form "contracts" and those who sign this "contract" will be granted special powers as the ones we've seen from the gorosei. So they're signing a deal with the devil, thus forfeiting their lives/souls, in this case Imu Is said "Devil" and once the contract is done, the individual who signed that contract will lose their life/soul.

I think saturns existence is more likely to be struck from the history books tbh. It would be very fittingly evil and cold of imu to erase the existence of a previously extremely loyal servant the instant the servant fails the master. Further, the world government will never admit a gorosei can be defeated by a pirate. It's the ultimate shame and display of vulnerability. At a time when kingdoms are beginning to rebel, it'd be a critical error to admit the gorosei's fallibility, IMO. Perhaps not only will saturn be struck from the record, but he will actually be replaced by Garling in history, as if Garling had been the one who was there from the beginning. It seems important to maintain the immortal, heavenly reputation of the core of the world government. I actually suspect the marines who witnessed saturns death may end up being eliminated, or having their memories wiped somehow. Perhaps by york at garling's request
It makes me think of Dorian Gray who is perennially youthful with his real appearance trapped in a painting. Maybe Imu’s painting is the giant frozen straw hat…
The current elders have almost certainly replaced others in the past. Maybe not all of them, but some of them are 'newer' to the group than others. That's why they had to explain why they changed the name of Nika's fruit, which didn't make sense to me at the time, because some of the Gorosei weren't around when it was done. I'm very interested in seeing what, if any, transformation Garling gets. If he also becomes a Gyuki like Saturn, it implies Imu only has 5 forms he can confer on his chosen allies. If the transformation is based off the person though, I'm kind of expecting Garling to get a Griffin form and have Shanks battle him at some point (possibly with each Yonko crew and the Revolutionary Army fighting an Elder, while Luffy fights Imu?).
I feel like Imu taking away Saturn's powers is probably the first time it's happened, considering the name scheme but also how the others reacted to it, as if it's something that was always possible but like "oh shit he actually did it"
Imu is the Devil himself. As such Saturn signed away his soul and it was cashed in. Imu most likely had the immortality surgery done on themselves and has some type of power (most likely a contract because you know deal with the devil) to grant eternal life to whomever (except himself obviously as you can't really make a contract with yourself) as long as he lives which is essentially forever. And once the contract is voided the years catch up to you.
Huh didnt even think about devon's mission to copy saturns appearance but yeah, saturn suddenly dying in a massive way infront of everyone kinda makes whatever that entire plan was pointless now
I wonder if each of the remaining Gorosei, excluding Garling, will be put down by Imu for failing. Maybe because they exhibit a particular stereotypical human action relating to their title and fail Imu because of it.
Saturn was replaced with a Moon 🌙 - I will call this new form Franken-Punk, but as for Punk Records I totally called that the clouds would push it away from Egghead which now makes it similar to Laputa Castle in the Sky - For Minatomo I think someone kidnapped him along with the women from the previous chapter covers, so that way he can build the kidnapper a ship to leave Wano
Since Garling takes Saturn's place, does that mean he becomes a malevolent looking spider centaur or an entirely new fearsome creature of its own right?
I don't think all of the gorosei are from the void century, Saturn likely isn't because it wouldn't make sense for him to have never seen/heard of technology like Emeth, especially being a presumably capable scientist
The Sun and Moon are historically considered planets. Also the largest asteroid, Ceres, is spherical like a planet and used to be considered one for like 100 years. Maybe Imu’s ancient weapon is Ceres since Uranus, Poseidon, and Pluton were presumably alligned with the Ancient Kingdom
Saturn got blamed for everything when they all messed up. If Zoro didn't fumble and York didn't squeal they wouldn't have been able to stop the message so they were basically swinging at air by themselves.
@@w1-w2-w3 200 years and nobody thinks to pull it out or study it as it's from the ancient kingdom and could have had special properties or made with technology the scientist of that era did not have access to. It's a major fumble in all honesty. Even vegapunk not trying to open and study how emmath worked seems like a detail missed especially when science looks at something from every angle
Oh, wise creator of digital realms, I, a humble seeker of wisdom, beseech thee! Bestow upon me the sacred knowledge that we seek, I wander, yearning for enlightenment. Guide me, O master, and illuminate the path to understanding with your boundless knowledge. 🙏✨
Devon's epithet being 'crescent moon hunter' is interesting now with Garling being even more relevant. Curious to know what the BB pirates plan to do with a dead Gorosei's face though
I love the disproportionate look of all the combined Vegapunks. The connection to Weatheria is interesting but also makes complete sense. This chapter clarifies that the Gorosei are likely regular celestial dragons elevated to the Gorosei council. I think we all saw Saturn dying, I don't think anyone called Garling joining the Gorosei or really anyone replacing him. Questions I have now: how long has each member been on the council? Did they all join at the same time? Are they immortal? Does Garling take the name "Saturn"? Does Garling get a Yokai form? Did Garling know about Imu beforehand or learn at his appointment to the Gorosei? Who now leads the God's Knights, Shanks' theorized sibling? Do the God's Knights know about Imu? My guess is Garling was told when he became God’s Knight Supreme Commander but none of the other Knights know. I saw GrandLineReview mention that in Film Red, Venus said the name Figarland with the same disdain that Sengoku talks about Garp’s family so could the Figarland’s be the “problem children” of the Celestial Dragons? Vodka Wolf, Rum Wolf, and Bourbon Wolf‽ I wonder if they have a summer, spring, or autumn environment. And are they connected to Whiskey Peak at all?
So does Imu have a DF that lets him connect/share things with people (ope ope no mi immortality, thoughts and teleport to each others locations)? I feel like his powers whatever they are is way stronger than something like the jacket devil fruit 😭
I think that bonnies power is an extract of imu. I think imu can give any power(or any combo of powers) to anyone. Remember that sugars fruit made her eternally youthful. I think that ginnie was one of imus wives too. Not saturns or garlings.
Some people say Imu's powers are not devil fruit powers but something entirely different. But I think, Imu is not a devil fruit user, he's the devil himself. And can give any DF powers to anyone including immortal youth operation. You see, he's not giving the OP OP fruit, just one power of it. Except for maybe human human fruits powers, like Luffy's and/or Sengoku and Chopper.
Imu is a giant sea dragon with lipstick she's a Bakunawa but she ate the mythical zoan human human fruit sea devil 😈 it allows her to shape-shift into a human she looks like a goddess she prefers to look like lili nerfertari!!!!
I think York might end up taking control of Neo MADS. Garling is bound to have big plans as one of the 12 candidates for the one piece, and York isn't gonna do that herself. With Queen in Marine custody, too, we could have a full MADS reunion.
My theory: i think that the gorosei are infused with Imu's Haki. A person can coat their body with haki and can infuse or coat their weaponry with haki. The Iron Giant; Emeth, had a knot infused with Joyboys Haki. The Haki survived over the Iron Giant's long life cycle. Dracule Mihawk has stated that coating a sword with haki can make any sword a black blade, and the act of coating a sword into a black blade makes it indestructible. Kuma took Luffy's pain, and Zoro took it in, using that example Luffy is the stella for the pain and Zoro is his satellite. Vegapunk took aspects of his persona and personified them, Vegapunk is the stella and the other six Vegapunks are his satellites. Zoro is the stella and his swords are his satellites infused with his haki or "will". Joyboy is the stella and the knot loaded with his Haki is the satellite. I think Imu is the stella that infuses his/her haki into whoever fills the position as his/her "satellites" or as the fanbase knows them, the five elder stars and should Imu ever remove his/her haki i think the gorosei would age appropriately as they are no longer indestructible. bonus: if my theory is true then i assume that the poneglyphs are also satellites infused with haki.
What I want to know is, who among the Elders gave the order to kill Luffy during Wano? From the way Saturn talks during the Gear 5 reveal, it would appear to be him. If so, that is yet another blunder against him
I’d love a different power but it’s not that often you get to witness two people owning the same fruit and how they end up using its power Obviously flame is one exception but ace mastered it and sabo had it for a few months and didn’t get to break it out much. Invisibility in Shiryu’s hands isn’t that huge a buff cause he probably would’ve killed most people outright before lol
I have a theory I’m going to keep commenting on these channels. Oda showed us that it IS possible for two devil fruits of the same type to exist at the same time. Granted Vegapunk created the second devil fruit of its type meaning this isn’t common at all. HOWEVER ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE. With this the idea came to mind. “What if there is another devil fruit out there that there are similar.” And so I theorise that Blackbeard and Imu have the exact same devil fruit. I haven’t thought about this enough, discussing it would help me make it better or debunk it but, this is my theory. There are two Yami-yami no mi.
Garling will be the main villain of Elbaf. After taking the seat as warrior god of defense and science, he's going to want to take care of Saturn's mistakes. He'll hunt down Lilith and the Strawhats for good measure. He's Shanks' dad, Elbaf is the Shanks arc. After he's defeated, Imu will give Akainu Gorosei powers. Oh and the knot stuff is forshadowing for Luffy's final attack when he undoes a knot on his arm. Hey, if I'm right I'll get many kudos.
The way Saturn reacted to Emeth 200 years ago makes me really doubt that he was alive during the void century so that makes me feel like the idea that he's the youngest and weakest of the Elders is probably true and he's probably not much older than 270 years old.
I think Imu give the Devil Fruit power that fit the most each Gorosei, so I don't think Garling will have the same transformation as Saturn. I like the theory that he will have the power to turn into Fenrir of norse mythology, and that Shanks and his brother represent Fenrir's sons, Skoll and Hati.
it might also be possible instead of perennial youth it could be that bestowing upon them their powers stops their time as in freezes them and prevents them from aging as long as they posses the power just a thought 😊
I know nobody will see this idiocracy of mine but: I think i maybe have a clue after 1125 regarding Imu's power. IMO Imu has a df power that is equal to the Shaman King. - Immortal - celestial/E.T like voice - gives a person devil like powers via calling a soul and intergrating that with the persons body AND a fortunate side effect is that the person body stopes ageing, but if you lose the power the "time tax" smacks you in the face instantly If Imu can give Imu can take away as we seen now. I would say he has similar power then Moria but much more brutal in certain asspects.
I don't think saint saturn was alive to see the original nika or any Nika because while he's dying, he says he didn't think that the fruits powers were so "nebulous". Implies he's never seen one.
I wonder if Imu removed Saturns DF and that's what killed him? If he did, then the youth surgery wasn't the reason the elders lived so long, it was Imu's powers that allowed them to live. Which means, Imu had the surgery done, not the Gorosei and Imu's powers are keeping them young. Or even if the Gorosei have a DF. maybe, this is just Imu's powers that are keeping them young, give them telepathy etc...I'm thinking Imu is the reason they can do what they can do. We see the exact same thing happening with the VP's. The brain is the central force and control and the satellites are just the overflow of the brain which means they are expendable but the brain is the real problem, same exact thing as Gorosei and Imu. (So this is a Pain in Naruto kind of enemy.) Also we have Sugar in Dressrosa. Who could touch people and make them dolls and basically use them for her pleasure. There's alot of reference to Marijoia in Dressrosa with Doffy talking about the youth surgery and then Sugar being a prototype of Imu and DOffy saying someone higher, which is apparently is oda pointing at Imu. This would also explain why the strawhats couldn't kill the Gorosei, Imu has to be killed, not his pawns.
Why would he want eternal youth and to be considered the top of society? He had nothing to lose but the inevitable death of old age he was already facing.
Hey, Artur, do you have any theory about which devil fruit Imu could havr base on what we know so far? I like the idea on him having some king of nightmare or devil fruit.
There are three certainties in life. Death, taxes, and Oda cooking.
I am happy cause today is Ohara Sunday!!
Thank you, Artur, keep it up!!
Imu might actually have the Human Human fruit: Model Satan
It makes me think of Dorian Gray who is perennially youthful with his real appearance trapped in a painting. Maybe Imu’s painting is the giant frozen straw hat…
Probably the Gorosei were all God knights at one point? the best of the best from different eras?
I was thinking that maybe the four bridges represent the World Government symbol, with Mary Geoise as central dot.
I wonder if the death of Saturn will also be credited to Luffy and the egghead incident as a whole
Fellow Marine: "Sooo, is the fact that he hit Vice-Admiral Dobberman after he asked that question proof that-"
Doll: "Sh-Shut up."
I feel like Imu taking away Saturn's powers is probably the first time it's happened, considering the name scheme but also how the others reacted to it, as if it's something that was always possible but like "oh shit he actually did it"
Now if you think about it, on the panel with the major player for the One Piece, no of the gorosei were displayed, only Garling.
Such a great chapter. Especially since the recent anime episode has Imu sitting on the empty throne. Timing is perfect
What happens when Devon turns to Saturn and goes back to the holy city.
Huh didnt even think about devon's mission to copy saturns appearance but yeah, saturn suddenly dying in a massive way infront of everyone kinda makes whatever that entire plan was pointless now
was waiting for this one
The medics still haven't shown up by the time Saturn dies so shouldn't we assume Doberman's body has just been there the whole time?
I wonder if each of the remaining Gorosei, excluding Garling, will be put down by Imu for failing. Maybe because they exhibit a particular stereotypical human action relating to their title and fail Imu because of it.
She's always been scared of joy boy because it's a gag of her character in the beginning she was a small sea snake
Great video. Thank you arthur
Saturn was replaced with a Moon 🌙
- I will call this new form Franken-Punk, but as for Punk Records I totally called that the clouds would push it away from Egghead which now makes it similar to Laputa Castle in the Sky
- For Minatomo I think someone kidnapped him along with the women from the previous chapter covers, so that way he can build the kidnapper a ship to leave Wano
Since Garling takes Saturn's place, does that mean he becomes a malevolent looking spider centaur or an entirely new fearsome creature of its own right?
Some people were thinking he could have a Fenrir devil fruit, the monstrous wolf of Norse mythology. Fits in well with the upcoming Elbaf arc!!
If Saturn had destroyed (emuth?) (the robot) the Joyboys Haki wouldn't have been unleashed. Imu remembers the robot also.
@@Tundra1428 how did nobody open the robot to see a string? Saturn is very bad at his job
@@ivanbluecool They might just think it as the normal rope. Honestly, it do looks like the normal rope.
@ivanbluecool maybe they too don't believe the sky islands exists and never saw the rope usage on Weatheria.
It would be pretty neat that figarland would turn into a werewolf
Idea for a Deathbattle: the Gorosei vs the Godhand.
It's a 5 v 5 match up between immortal demons!
Imu discontinued Saturn's immortality subscription for terms of service violations.
Oh, wise creator of digital realms, I, a humble seeker of wisdom, beseech thee! Bestow upon me the sacred knowledge that we seek, I wander, yearning for enlightenment. Guide me, O master, and illuminate the path to understanding with your boundless knowledge. 🙏✨
Garling taking Saturn's place makes sense as he focus on Defense aspect from the Warrior God of Science and Defense.
Devon's epithet being 'crescent moon hunter' is interesting now with Garling being even more relevant. Curious to know what the BB pirates plan to do with a dead Gorosei's face though
14:40 This is gold
I love your content bro
Some people say Imu's powers are not devil fruit powers but something entirely different. But I think, Imu is not a devil fruit user, he's the devil himself. And can give any DF powers to anyone including immortal youth operation. You see, he's not giving the OP OP fruit, just one power of it. Except for maybe human human fruits powers, like Luffy's and/or Sengoku and Chopper.
I just thought of this after seeing the thumbnail, Im(Imu)mortal lol. Foreshadowing?
So can Imu telepathically communicate with anyone? And I bet thet its not only the 5 elders that are aware of Imu existence before Sabo saw him/her.
Saint Shepherd Ju Peter reaction was particularly concerning. He may the one traitor about whom Mjorg speculated in his video.
What an amazing chapter!
What I want to know is, who among the Elders gave the order to kill Luffy during Wano? From the way Saturn talks during the Gear 5 reveal, it would appear to be him. If so, that is yet another blunder against him
I wonder if the idea of the moon having an effect on the sea (in how it creates waves) will be expressed through this change.
I’d love a different power but it’s not that often you get to witness two people owning the same fruit and how they end up using its power
Obviously flame is one exception but ace mastered it and sabo had it for a few months and didn’t get to break it out much. Invisibility in Shiryu’s hands isn’t that huge a buff cause he probably would’ve killed most people outright before lol
Well Imu it's the devil himself. And the devil's fruits were his creation
I agree!! Quite literally creating the devil fruits with their “inky” like powers.
“What if there is another devil fruit out there that there are similar.”
And so I theorise that Blackbeard and Imu have the exact same devil fruit.
Imu doesn't say that Joyboy got away, he says that he was behind that escape, that he helped them escape even from the past
One piece world looking more and mpre like that of Berserk!! Letsgooo
Garling Figarland will be the shortest ruling Gorosei. Also keep in mind his name might be related to Noland.
There's no doubt that Saturn is the oldest if not possibly the first elder to be elected as he knows of the buccaneers
I know nobody will see this idiocracy of mine but:
I think i maybe have a clue after 1125 regarding Imu's power.
IMO Imu has a df power that is equal to the Shaman King.
- Immortal
- celestial/E.T like voice
- gives a person devil like powers via calling a soul and intergrating that with the persons body AND a fortunate side effect is that the person body stopes ageing, but if you lose the power the "time tax" smacks you in the face instantly
If Imu can give Imu can take away as we seen now. I would say he has similar power then Moria but much more brutal in certain asspects.
I think IM or an item he has will be empowered with the Jikgoku or hell devil fruit which allows him to transform his servants into monsters.
Year of the snake
I don't think saint saturn was alive to see the original nika or any Nika because while he's dying, he says he didn't think that the fruits powers were so "nebulous". Implies he's never seen one.
Thank you.
10:16 turn into a massive skeleton so whatever he was, a giant perhaps, he was huge
ODA GOAT!!!! LFG!!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Watched this many times to understand
His head looks like the world governments logo if you add the 4 gourosei around him
I wonder if Imu removed Saturns DF and that's what killed him?
(So this is a Pain in Naruto kind of enemy.)
Also we have Sugar in Dressrosa.
Moon and Earth ( or V. Earth) together.
Nobody is questioning what Garling had to benefit from becoming a Gorosei. If he’s that strong, why is he wanting to become a puppet?
Why would he want eternal youth and to be considered the top of society?
He had nothing to lose but the inevitable death of old age he was already facing.
Hey, Artur, do you have any theory about which devil fruit Imu could havr base on what we know so far? I like the idea on him having some king of nightmare or devil fruit.
