Fingers crossed we will get the rest of the trilogy with Amazin’ and Crazy. Excellent job as always. Maybe one day I will get lucky enough to see ya’ll live.
They are very talented but I wish it was not processed. They are lip synching the produced/effects recording. I repeat, they are very talented but there is a big problem nowadays with covers on the internet. I prefer raw natural acoustic versions, doesn´t matter if some verses are out of tune, that´s normal.
Bro these are live. I am a knowledgeable sound engineer with tons of recording experience both live and in studio. These two are the genuine article. No lip synching is happening here. They’re really THAT good.
@@maestrodmc They are using a lot of compression then because it is impossible to sound like this without any effects plus there are 2 voices and 1 guitar for 1 microphone. If you can sound this good like that, that´s nuts
@@George_C-e4v The slide guitar amp has some reverb on it, and it's turned up medium loud, it's probably on the floor behind them so it won't drown out their voices. I can also hear the natural reverb in the room. There is most likely some compression on the mic to prevent overs in the recording, but it's set up pretty good and Rebecca really knows good mic technique (as she leans way back for the louder, higher notes). She is also one of the best rhythm guitarist I've ever heard. Believe me if this was multitracked and lip synched the Acoustic guitar would be turned down a bit and better balanced (it's a bit too loud). Last thing: listen closely at 0:20 through 0:25 seconds or so in. You can hear the dog breathing as the mic picks it up from between the sisters. If that dog is in on the fakery, he is exceedingly well trained! 😁
@@davechitty7700 They can be recording the guitar live, that doesn´t mean anything. You can clearly see on one of the final chorus that she leans back on a high note and then she doesn´t on the next same exact note ("crying"). Absolutley no volume change or anything, even if this was live it is heavily produced to the point that it isn´t "live" anymore. I prefer covers where the singer just sings to their camera/phone without any equipment or DAW at all.
Aerosmith shocked me when I was a child and that's why I've started to learn English. Then I met "Mad as a Hatter" by Larkin Poe and was pleased of how people can describe their real life experience via poetry. Now, this amazing cross-over. I sang with you. Thank you, ladies! How 'bout "Janie's got a gun"?
Man, I really don’t know how you two appeared for me, cause I wasn’t looking for music at that moment… but, thank God you appeared! That’s fantastic! I was a teenager watching MTV in the 90’s when I first listened this Aerosmith piece of art. I thought it was impossible to make a version of this music making it better than the original, but you two have broken this paradigm of mine and overcame so far my expectations. Congratulations!!! I really hope to see you in a live show when you come to Brasil! Now I’m waiting! 😂😂😂 I loved it! Big fan now!
Having one's heart ripped out of one's chest is understandably not generally regarded as a pleasant experience, but somehow, these two routinely do it, and make me LIKE it.
As a guitarist myself, I’m just floored by the tone Megan manages to get in this simple one-mic home recordings. It sounds HUGE, but never drowns out the acoustic guitar or the vocals. That’s a really, really difficult feat.
OMG! What an incredible, unique lap steel tone! They even today easily are "Hall of Fame" ready in my opinion! These more private videos and the stage live performances are different worlds in some aspects, but all from Larkin Poe sounds excellent. A perfect team and they even get better and better! Really rare gems, who not only do, what they can, but really can, what they do!
I'm mid-40s -- this was my all-time favorite song back at that junior high/high school junction. Get A Grip (and then Nevermind) were my first two CDs. I wore this Cryin' cassette single tape out prior to this, just listening to this song and rewinding it over and over again. This is the best cover of this song I have ever heard. It's just beautiful and original and ridiculously wonderful. Thank you.
Great job! Love this! Aerosmith was my favorite band in the mid/late 70's and my son's favorite in the late 80's/early 90's. LP is my favorite now. Rock on ladies!
Been a minute since I stopped by. Glad I did! Y'all are just killin' it everywhere you go. I was there in the early days, sharing and spreading the word!!! Hair colors may have changed but not lost on me is Y'alls dedication to your chosen instrument, tone and delivery. Long term, steady improvement and good ears are key for longevity. Most of all have fun! We see it and love it! ❤ Love youins X 2 ❤
Yes they are! Do you know their work? If not you really should check them out. Blues, rock, country bluegrass they've done it all over the years in their originals and covers.

Megan turns the slide into another voice and harmony with Rebecca’s vocal. Stunning!❤
That's the Larkin Poe we all love.
Harmonies and strings of pure gold.
great music!
These sisters are the real deal. Bless them
I will never, ever get tired of hearing these two jamming at home, covering awesome songs. Blood harmony!

Never!!!
Such a great powerful voice and a talented lap guitar player. Just an amazing couple of sisters

One of my favorite songs from my youth performed by one of my absolute favorite bands of the moment. ❤❤❤❤
Greetings from Germany!

Two instruments, two voices creating this?! Sounds like an entire band. Larkin Poe is amazing.

Who needs a filter and fancy equipment when you can sing and play like this, awesome ladies pure gold
pure talent!
Hermoso. Best Crying versión. This Is not a cover at all. This Is a original versión from this duet. Felicitaciones ❤
I love your commitment to the art and the history.

Woah! Holy vocals!
This is one of our favorite Aerosmith songs, and this version is just spectacular!!
You ladies are ACE! The harmonized vocals, the six strings and that lap steel all mix magnificently!

This is a great arrangement for this Aerosmith classic. I love the vocals and slide. Awesome job, girls
Dayum, y'all. And after that last little slide lick, I'm the one who's cryin'. Beautiful, as always.
Eu não canso de voltar nesse vídeo!
I can't stop my tears each time I hear your version of this song .. thank you for giving this kind of emotions to all of us

They are brilliantly talented aren’t they? Powerful music with clever lyrics and a unique vocal sound that you just gotta love.
Haven't heard something this good in a long time...and such a difficult song, wow. 🎸🎸
The pipes are in the house!!! That steel guitar is exactly how I envision this song!!! Hell yeah!!!

You'll love it, especially when you see what Rebecca, the lead singer, can really do vocally.
Forgot to say that their most recent record "Blood Harmony" won this year's Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album.
