Yeah. And Elvis has that song called return to sender and in the video you can see he totally takes the inspiration for those dance moves from Jackie and Sam Cooke
When I was growing up, Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson was all you heard about from grown people, especially women. They were the heartthrobs of my mother's generation. The women couldn't get enough of them and it's easy to see why. They were both good looking, sexy, and could swoon like no others. It is sad that these two magnificent talents died way too soon. But the tremendous impact of their legacy will keep them alive in us forever.

Sam's choreography is as Smooth and as sexy as the tonal execution and exquisite delivery of his musical discourse. Having seen this for the very first time, I am pleasurably moved beyond description at the reciprocity of cordial respect mutually displayed by these two great artists. May their Soul-Spirits continue the divine repose in the sacred and sanctified bosom of the Almighty!
I have not heard a male singer comparable to Sam Cooke. Rebert H. Harris is most definitely the most influential male singer. Harris is credited with being the innovator who laid the foundation of the intertwined relationship of double and triple lead vocals and harmony within a singing group. The Soul Stirrers is the pioneering group for the majority of iconic groups including; the Impressions, Dells, Drifters, and Temptations. Most are confused. Often the stylists and entertainers are preferred over authentic singing. Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Eddy Levert, David Ruffin, Marvin Junior, Bobby Womack, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Sam Cooke. Rebert H. Harris and Steve Wonder are my favorite male singers. James Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Fela are my favorite male singing entertainers

Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke, two of the most influential singers and performers of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and soul. They really set the foundation for what being a true song stylist and entertainer is. They influenced just about every black artist of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. They both influenced Motown. All the guys back then wanted to be like Jackie and Sam. These two guys had it all, looks, talent, sex appeal, charm, but they were down to earth, the guy singers today can't compare.

Maybe the two greatest soul singers of all time. One thing for sure, the women went crazy when these two toured together in the early 60's along with Hank Ballard and the Midnighters. What shows those must have been.
Are you kidding me? Jackie Wilson and Sam cooke together! I can't even think of 2 people together today that would compare to that duo! Thank you for posting !
You are exactly right! My mom was a huge fan of this music (she was white) and had a big Motown collection on vinyl, which I now own. I grew up on this music and developed an appreciation for it. Smooth soulful voices, sophistication, and class. Something both the white and black singers of today are sorely lacking.
I keep coming back to this video because it is showcasing two amazing singers completely enjoying themselves and yet it is so sad, because they both died too young.

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era to see Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson on the same stage I jus about melted
Me too! I wish I had lived when Sam and Jackie had lived. The both of them would have been my friend. But I have to trust that God gave me the right time period to live. I was born exactly 1 month and 7 days after Sam's death.
Those were the days of pure musical talent! Sam and Jackie...pure bliss!
This is so adorable.
Classy, smooth - a lot of joy getting to see this old clip
Two great legends together. You can't get better than that. Love them both.
So great. Two of my favorites. If only the vocals had been live! Love you guys Sam and Jackie
Watching 2 legends at work like this makes everything alright! Especially if you're having a bad day
Two of the "Greatest Ever" !!!!!!!! Memories for real......!!!! 1960's
So cool. Wish they'd recorded together.
Wow!! Amazing to see two great performers together. Very handsome and those bodies...neatly dressed they look fabulous!!
Absolutely awesome the old music will never fade away god bless the two of them x
My mom love these guys every Sunday while she was doing Sunday stuff she would always play their music and I would listen and learn the words I am so glad mom introduced me to this type of talent , what is sad is that I have to keep going on youtube to find music like this much older then my time because what is out today I just cannot listen to. I wished history could repeat itself at least for the music and thank you Ness for uploading this video
'Til this day the greatest clip on RUclips. Yodas of music.
These two were the greatest of the greatest Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson Jackie Wilson was another James Brown rest in peace the two of you God bless you still listening to you today in 2020
Two of the greatest vocalists EVER!!!
Oh, Lord. These two fine, fiiine men!!!! Their physical forms, smooth moves, talent & just plan old sensuality & sexiness were all off the chart. SC's cuteness was also something else. Sad & mad that these two brothers died too soon. We needed them to bless us with more of their gifts. RIP Sam Cooke & Jackie Wilson. Rest in power, wonderful souls. Thank you, Kuro Ness, for this treasure. More of the same, please. :)
Omg!!!!! I love them two, but I must agree, Sam was the king of soul and NOBODY can compare to him!
He was VERY good
Jackie had those dance moves tho
❤ this was the greatest singer
