- First we'd like to thank everyone who participated in our first ever virtual seminar! We learned so much and we hope that everyone was able to experience a bit of Ryuei Ryu. We look forward to seeing and training with everyone in the future!
This is the seventh kata in our new "Kata Series" and the first Ryuei Ryu Kata where we show you the Katas that we practice and give you a breakdown of those Katas in the US Ryuei Ryu Kata list. This one is called Niseshi which translates to "24" and is a fundamental kata for beginners/novice learning Karate.

Very detail explanation. Love it !uchy. I am a slow learner. This video help me alot. Thanks for taking the Time to make this available.👏✌💛
More kata videos from Ryuei Ryu please 😊🤩💪🏻
Great teaching style and crisply done.
4:40 minute the return is 45 degree on shito ryu. All nice kata. Thanks for sharing!
Yes there are some differences between the Ryuei Ryu Niseshi and the Shito Ryu. Thank you for watching!
this kata has been passed down to Shotokan from Master Arakaki through Soke Mabuni and became Nijushiho nowadays
Thank you this helped I’m learning thsi kata in brown 2 this is my second kata after matsukaze and when I search this kata it either is laggy or they don’t explain
Would great to see kata performed from behind/reverse angle and slower both on performance and breakdown. Unfortunately where I live there is no Ryueiryu dojo. Great content.
We have been trying to work on our camera angles and slow-mo features. But we do plan on trying to put out more videos with more detailed content if that is what everyone would like to see!
@@eastlakedojo152 that would be great. The kata are excellent but to understand the breadth of the movements, multiple angles and slo-no would be excellent. Love watching videos of Sakamoto Sensei. Especially Anan.
I see aspects of Arakaki Niseshi, Kenwa Mabuni, and hints of Shigeru Nakamura's version. I like seeing other inturpertaions of kata.
Very good Helpful 👍 we'll explained
excelente explicación
Will you do more Ryuei-ryu kata? 🙏 One more question, in what order do Ryuei-ryu teach their Kata? 🥋
We will try to do more katas! Thank you
Very good video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Similar to Shotokan's Nijushiho, which also means 24 steps....
Thank you!
Welcome!
Hi sensei. Me and my students are participating for a world tournament in Okinawa and this kata is in the list. However I cannot find this version of the kata being performed in tournaments on RUclips. So can we perform this version of the kata for the tournament?
I'm not sure what tournament you are participating at, but this is a Ryuei Ryu kata, which is an Okinawan style.
I will appreciate a lot if you teach all Ryuei ryu kata on this channel . This may sound not polite , what is the difference between your version and Sakumoto Tsuguo 's version?
I wouldn't say that there is a difference or varying versions, as we are under Sakumoto Sensei. The difference might be that when he teaches seminars he teaches them with the idea of Tournaments in mind.
Very cool. Step to step understand, but hikite nessesery more. Looking Daito Ryu and we insomuch make best texnic.
Certainly different from SKIF NiJuShiHo but has a few similarities to KenKoJuku NiJuShi.
What are the weapons in ryuei ryu pls reply
The weapons that we use are Bo, Sai, Eiku, Kama, and Tinbe.
@@eastlakedojo152 I've seen KENJI NAKAIMA
Holding a sword
@@priyanshubiswal817 Yes, he was very famous for his Iai-Do all over the world.
@@eastlakedojo152 ohh so he practice another material art thanx for replaying
For a first kata it is fairly complicated compared to Shotokan or Shorin Ryu :D
This is true, which is why for us we start with kihon katas prior to introducing the first Ryuei Ryu kata to our students. At about 7th kyu they start with Niseshi.
@@eastlakedojo152 Thank you for your response! It is very interesting to hear! :)
is it Niseishi ?
We spell it the original way of Niseshi
So Nice 💘💘💘💘💘💘
Thank you!
Good. I wait for love from you 💝💖
