From this video, we can finally understand that karate is not a sport, even if there is point competition, it is just rules and its competition, they actually always hold back which is their power control In reality or mma rules, you can see how they can really perform
Wonder why Karate is not being continued for the next olympics despite having a worldwide following for the sport. Olympic champions of karate in Tokyo will remain defending champions for a long time until it is accepted again as a olympic sport
Ohhhh, is it not being included next Olympics?? That is such a shame. I was so so thrilled to see Karate especially Kata, in the Olympics. It was absolutely my favourite event to watch.
@ Karen Watermelon I too love Kata. It is an absolute delight to watch it. Karate can continue as a Olympic sport provided they have high viewership and is able to make some successful lobbying
Because There is No Union between Karate Federation the IOC Doesnt want things like this to happen and thus Will not allow a Sport To be Included if Theres no Union in the Sports
Wished the TV coverage of Karate at the Olympics in the UK was better!! BBC is a waste of time, they spend to much time talking in the studio when there is fantastic sports such as Karate to watch!! Eurosport has been better viewing in my opinion!
ever since Olympics karate is now refer to as a sport not martial art. most in my home village says I want to play karate instead of learning like it's some kind of game.
0:12 Pounding on that and rice bags for few hours is great. Any pre-callus one should stop immediately. I think the idea of rice bags are originally from China not Japan.
Not stopping would entail your Ego, Mindset, Spirit, Mind as well basic Health decreasing AFTER you finish. Generally, I've seen the free will maintain them while they punch through with callus. But after they go into a depression without conscious.

What are you expecting out of sport karate at an event like the Olympics, matches where everyone is trying to beat each other to a pulp? But yes, its extremely boring to watch, kind of more fun to compete in. Go watch a Kyokushin match if you want to see full contact sparring.
Lol that was the original karate, okinawan karate is the original karate, what he meant is that karate-do (karate japan which is focused on perfection of a kata, and more on more on sports)🤗
I'm practicing kyokushin for more than 10 years, i know it's more brutal, cool, how karate should be.. but thats it, until i discover more deeply in karate n knowing that kyokushin is a artificial karate, n okinawan karate is the real karate, but in the end there it has separated ways which is karate sport & traditional, i agree when u said karate sport is not a karate, it has no budo at all, but i think it's dffrent with sakumoto school here.. they train for sport but also for traditional way, i visit his dojo 3 years ago, n they practicing for kumite as well
Karate is originated from Okinawa and shared to the world. They are just doing what it’s been and now outsiders talking karate should be this and that, and the original is not karate cuz it doesn’t involve beating…
@@alexfang6784 First, Is not a dance, it's a lot of combat poses, they use this as a practice for a real combat... Where you see an Karate apprentice "dancing" Its actually a real opponent.
@@alexfang6784 no, no any Chinese actor can do that, because They don't practice Karate , they practice Kung Fu... And Chinese adult Men's know basic Kung Fu as part of the Military Service. Karate is from Japan.
@@josebuenrostro5639 In the Olympic karate kumite event, nobody was using any of those combat poses to actually fight their opponent. And I think we can all agree kumite is probably closer to a real fight than practicing kata. If practicing kata was actually useful for fighting, some of the same people who compete in the kata event should be competing in the kumite. But the truth is kata is not actually useful for fighting. It's karate's version of wushu's fancy dancing.
Huge huge fan of Ryo kiyuna want him to win gold in olympics
He winning Gold he is winner
He deserved winning it. Glad Okinawa got a medal in their martial art.

He has won.

I prefer karate combat.
