My ex-club is a Goshin Ju Jitsu club where the striking is karate, throws and groundwork judo and some aikido. My Sensei was taught by Vernon Bell who did both karate and judo and Kenshiro Abbe who did aikido and judo.
In WKF never use everyone this Art of Kumite ....the most of these modern Kumite Karateka,s in WKF Karate have a Bad Stand and Tzuki,s ...they are searching only for Point...this is Not the real Karate 😉....but Sensei Kagawa is a JKA Legend with great Fight,s ...OSS💪
Not really a mistake. It is confusing though, as within Shotokan we have Japanese instructors that appear to use the terms uchi uke & soto uke to describe the very same technique. My Japanese language skills are quite poor. However I believe the confusion comes from where the technique is coming from & where it is going to. For instance Uchi ude uke (inside 'block' that starts from the waist) is more often than not referred to as an inside block, because that's where it is coming from. However it can also be called Soto Ude Uke (outside 'block') because that's where it is going to. Then you can apply the same logic to the Soto Uke (the block that starts up near your ear). Confusing I know. But I simply wait for what ever the teacher demonstrates & that's what I go with on that occasion. ;-)
