- First and foremost, If you come to Oregon this is a place to visit for sure. Traveling from Portland to Crater lake driving on US 58. We then stopped at Diamond lake for the night and it was very relaxing. With beautiful views and nature if you need a spot to stay you can go to Diamond lake that is 15 min from the North Rim. When driving around Crater Lake the East rim was closed at the time we were there. There is no camping at the Park. I hope you enjoy this video of our expedition. See you on the next one.
