This has got to be the most underrated game of all time . This games a masterpiece . Top three survival horror games of all
Time
This game's plot is really satisfying
Wait, I thought the ending narration said that Mantorok had baited all three gods into killing each other, then he collapses the three possibilities into a single timestream so that all three gods were dead, and he slowly died as well due to Pious's binding.
Theoretically if mantarok collapsed the timelines, then they were never bound, i e never became the corpse god in the first place. I believe it/she was a fertility god
Man i loved this game. From the moment that I started it, it sucked me in and never let go. One of the best mentally messed up games out there. It's awesome
Played the game years ago, I think it's the main reason why I still have my gamecube today. A true masterpiece ...
i play it on PC looks way better
@@girlsdrinkfeck do you have the link for it i want it too for my pc
@@AlexKallia link for the game? You'd have to look for it yourself. ROM sites took down nearly all Nintendo games ud have to look via torrents
7:10 another architect? I remember Roberto being the only one.
Good content! Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.
You definitely deserve more recognition for this video.
Fantastic work dude, the game's plot is really unique and truly remakable...., and it's almost twenty years!!!!
solid game , one of my favs
Very good explanation and editing, thank you
Had to subscribe purely due to the fact that they way you explained everything was so informative that it convinced me I need to play this!
You've done a great work!
Great video mate, I loved this game.
This is really well made
Great video. Subscribed!
excellent video, the story is awesome. could you make a video of all the influences (lovecraft for example) for the story of the game.
I think the Lovecraftian Mythos comparisons between the Ancients are:
Chattur'gha / Cthuga
Ulyaoth / Hastur or Dagon, but possibly Yog Sothoth
Xel'lotath / Cthulhu
Mantorok / Yog Sothoth, but possibly Nyarlathotep
The Cthuga and Cthulhu relations are obvious... Fire and madness. Ulyaoth is harder to pin down, specifically because of Mantorok.
Ulyaoth should be Yog Sothoth because of it's spacial and temporal powers... However, Yog Sothoth is the Door and the Key, the opener of rifts between realities, and is the warden who keeps the others out of our reality, including trapping itself, as both the Door and the Key. This is basically Mantorok.
Therefore, it is hard to determine between the powers of Hastur, and the underwater nature of Dagon for the creatures that are employed.
Then again, it is possible Ulyaoth could be Yog Sothoth, and Mantorok is Nyarlathotep, given his penchant for manipulating people throughout the centuries to free him from his servitude to the others so that he could become a major power in their place, and supplying them with the tome in which their names go that they must willingly accept, thus supplying them with the ability to perform magic.
Great video!
It's truly sad that the sequel got cancelled of this beautiful masterpiece 😔
You know this game is literally my best memory as a kid and although I know this game well it has never occurred to me the question of what happened to Alex's parents, did they died from suicide or mental illness too?
imagine if this game made by ubisoft... 1 game, 1 era... jesus, they already did.. assassin creed.. still, this really amaze me how an old game developer better in game direction than any of big triple A developer now
Thank you Lou
this one game has more story than the entire assassin's creed series
You e got potential mang
If the sequel wasn’t canceled how many sequels you bet they would’ve made do you think they would’ve made an eternal darkness video game series
technically theyre ancients not gods, but the humans misconceive these as gods anyway, but technically theyre a alien super being
Were some of the clips from the Nintendo 64 build? I ask because I played this on the Gamecube, and don't recall some of these scenes. I know the Nintendo 64 version wasn't officially released.
Thanks. I would have slowed down the pacing tho.
Yeah, it's not well explained and leaves much to be desired for.
what's with all the timeline jumping?
It's how the game unfolds.
is there gonna be a sequel to this
Doubt seeing as this came out in 02
6:50
So the game punishes you for completing it multiple times.
A Persian dude with an Arabic name during the pre-Islamic period of Iran's history? lol
Not well explained, too fast spoken and paced. English is not my native language as well. You should redo it and choose better wording in your explanations.
3:40 Why is that one monster coming out of that guy btw?
Thats what bonethiefs do. The get inside humans and control their bodies.
That particular scene shows that people who assassinated Charlemagne are not simple humans but these creatures. Its also a gameplay hint since in the next chapter "servantans" start attacking you.
Yeah, guy should have gone in the detail. Better play this yourself or watch movie version from youtube
