Here's the actual story about Marc Nelson and Boyz II Men and why he wasn't with them when they first came out. All five members, prior to meeting Michael Bivins, signed a bad contract with a local management company and small shiesty record label. They were all high school kids and didn't know any better. Then they had the now famous encounter with Michael Bivins at a New Edition concert. Mike wanted to sign them to his management company, but had to get them out of their present one. He was successful with only four of the members because they were all under the age of 18 when they signed the contract, making it null and void. Marc, sadly, was 18 when he signed it and it was binding for 3 years. Mike couldn't help him. The remaining 4 had to move on without him. Luckily Marc got a second chance with AZ Yet

I kinda wish Marc, Tony, and the other 2 guys from Blayse could've made more music but Marc said one of them just pulled out and messed everything up which is why they didn't last. He should do something with these guys. Tony was an amazing dynamic singer too with a fantastic range with endless vocal energy. Not my favorite replacement for Marc in Az Yet but I'm glad he was there so he could get some exposure for his talent. Come to think of it, I wish Tony, Marc, and shawn would get together with Dion and Kenny and just bring back the magic of Az Yet.

He actually left to go solo the day before they started recording their original music. I know he's done other stuff, but if I were him I'd kick myself everyday for missing out on being a part of that group. Almost 30 years later, I am still trying to figure out how he would ever be considered the lead singer of BIIM with Wan, Nate, and Shawn around. SMH on a side note. And to date, I'm betting Mike is probably the best thing anybody's ever found in a bathroom stall. So thankful that on that fateful day, he had to go potty, and they came in to practice. LOL
