I'm going to go out on a limb here and state that Eddie Levert was the proudest person in that auditorium that evening.........with Smokey Robinson a close second. This was an absolutely CLASSIC rendition of Philly Soul & Motown's finest "Old-School" hits. I've never seen this video until now........it's made my "favorite" list.

I'm going to be 81 in less than a month and this music is what I have been in love with all my life.....Doo Wop, Gospel, and R&B in the 50s then added to it MoTown and Soul from 1960 onward. Now Thanks to RUclips I can listen to and watch all of it today right at home because I still love it to the depths of my heart. These talented artists and their incredible music are the greatest creation America has brought to the world and they did it despite being enslaved, raped, robbed, murdered, mistreated, and shortchanged right on up to the present with the the just elected racist president and his lemmings still denying them justice and compensation for everything that was stolen from them for some 300 years. That these incredible artists were able to achieve what they have despite all the racist roadblocks and hatred they faced simply underscores how great their contribution to human culture has is and has always been. These are the true American Heroes for me.

Some where in our culture at the beginning of 2000s, we stopped giving our ELDERS their flowers while they are still with us. Exodus 20:12 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. I know my generation was raised by the village. There are many others like mine. My only suggestion to you all is to give your ELDERS their flowers while they are still living. Once they are gone, its too late.

Too sad that Eddie lost both his two sons at age 40 (Sean 39).

I don’t watch awards shows anymore like I use to. They definitely don’t pay homage like this anymore. I’m so glad I grew up to this. Today’s artist wish they had someone singing from their catalog of hits. R.I.P. to all the legends they showed.

You can tell they had so much fun putting this tribute performance together. Isn't it sad we don't have any male singing groups in this new generation? I'll keep playing the classics

What I enjoyed about this is , they weren't the best Dancers but they did the damn thang, it also let you know that these boys are just some cold blooded bonified singers.

That was the best tribute preformance I have ever seen in my life! I love the songs that they preformed they preformed them just as the orginal artist would have To see Eddie's reaction to his sons preforming was priceless This looks like they were preforming at the NAACP Image awards, where ever they were preforming they were great, and these young artist need to take note, that this is how you sing and dance at the sametime! I love both groups and may Sean and Gerald both Rest In Peace!

Had privileged opportunity to see both legendary Luther Vandross and LeVert perform at the amphitheatre in Virginia Beach some years ago. Quite a dynamic heart stopping show. LeVert performance so exciting as an older legend and to top it all off his Dad was there too. most unforgettable night EVER!!! So glad I had opportunity to see these awesome performers before they both passed away.
