- Today we're ranking the top AC games based on re-playability. There's lots to talk about before the release of Assassin's Creed Red. My ranking has lots of controversial opinions so feel free to tell me yours. Everything from Ezio to Eivor is part of this beloved series of ours and I really believe that there's no bad game in the series, so I'm really interested to hear what others think. In odyssey Trying different builds, enjoying the beautiful world never gets old..True it has a unique fun vibe to it to get lost in for hours

I love Odyssey. Mainly for the Greek history involved. I don’t replay games at all, but I’ve played it through entirely 3 times 😅
It's amazing how much history they put in this beast, pretty sure I'll still be learning from it 10 years from now
AC Rogue was table turn around type of game. It's technically templar's creee.
Yeah I always wanted to play it. Back in the day it seemed like discounted Black Flag so I skipped it. But now I really wanna play it, hopefully soon
It really is discount black flag but the story to it needs to be witnessed especially if your a fan of AC given it connects black flag to unity and ac3 too. Nice little story to connect everything together and not too long to overstay its welcome

I totally agree with Odyssey, the replayability and the beautiful greek setting, and I love Kassandra as a character, she is chill and cool and strong, great vibes. I'm very hyped for AC Red, because is the successor of Odyssey, made by the same team, Quebec, and probably with the same filosophy, good long rpg in a beautiful world and cool protagonists
The fact alone that it’s made by the same team hypes me up for it. No hate for the guys who made Valhalla and Origins but Odyssey is just so much more chill to play
I agree syndicate is a more polish version of unity playing it an realizing that it had some unique mechanics

I love odyssey! These old school gamers holding on to the original ac games don’t get it imo! This is what a video game should be! Hours and hours of fun, history, making builds etc. I wish Ubisoft would have changed the name starting with Orgins so “purest couldn’t complain about it not being like the first games. Great list bro!
Agreed, I think that if they changed the name then this game would have gotten 9/10s all around.
People are so weird man idk why the name matters that much, still the same fun game wether it’s called Assassin’s Creed or not
Unity is one of the biggest disappointments I have ever encountered in my 17 year old gaming experience. I still enjoyed the game, but not nearly as much as I thought I would before I played it. Easily the most inconsistent game in the entire franchise (I have played every entry in the series except Identity), and by far the AC game with the most horrific input lag. Syndicate however completely salvaged my experience with the Helix Saga before moving onto the RPG games, I loved the setting of Syndicate (for years I was saying that a modern AC game would be phenomenal and Syndicate is a clear proof of that), protagonists are good, the WW1 segment as well as Jack the Ripper DLC are both brilliant. Combat, amazing, stealth, perfect, and it fixed my biggest complaint about the stealth system in Unity, which is a competent enemy tagging system. In Unity your area perception and guard tracking is some of the worst I have seen in a modern era stealth game. Tagged enemies in Syndicate stay tagged which encourages you to play Syndicate quickly and with more precision.
Even though I don’t understand people who prefer Unity over Syndicate, I still respect their choice, since there are also people who don’t value objective technical improvements which is also completely fine.
You reminded me of something I forgot to mention in the video when it comes to stealth. the Eagle vision is hands down the best one in the series. They cleaned it up so much and it just looks and feels so much better to use.
And you got me more excited to play the Ripper dlc, still didn't get the chance to play it since I'm replaying Mirage right now but it's for sure on my list
As an OG Assassin's Creed fan, Odyssey is the opposite of everything I want from an AC game. Choosing your character and having multiple endings are direct contradictions to the entire premise of the series.
I see it as a healthy evolution, some things like stealth evolved backwards but other than that I think the series needed the change
Origins was my favourite game; I have at least 100 hours in that one.

@@Ganion it deserves a sequel; I tried Odissey too but didn’t liked it; compared to Origins it felt to me 4 steps forward with 10 steps backward.
I can replay AC1-Origins. Replaying Odyssey and Valhalla is just pure hell with the fetch quests, tho Valhalla isn’t as bad as Odyssey. Haven’t done new game plus on Mirage so I can’t say.
To each his own I guess, I personally enjoy Odyssey endlessly more than Valhalla. But it’s nice to know that every game in the series has fans, each game attracts a different type of person
I loved the side content in Odyssey and Valhalla. 500 hrs in these.
I loved the length.

Fair point, I enjoy Odyssey's fetch quests much more then Valhalla's puzzels where I have to break locks or find a key to get into a building. It all comes down to personal preference.

@@Ganion Same! Whenever I replay a game, my opinion changes! My favourite would be Black flag, followed by unity and syndicate. Currently replaying ac1 so that would be top 5 material as well! Last but not least I really enjoy playing as haytam!
@LP-xu5rr heyyy a fellow Syndicate enjoyer! I heard something about them possibly remaking the first game in the future, so we have lots to look forward to. Black flag was my first ac game so it will always have a place in my heart. I would LOVE to play AC1 remade as well

Unity is actually the one I play the most lol. Last year it was my second most played game of 2023 (right behind RDR2) 😂
And also Origins and Odyssey (mainly because of those bloated DLCs that take extra 30 hours)
To each his own I say, what do you do with Unity tho? Not trying to be a dick just curious. With red dead I could see it being the most played because there’s sooo much to do, but with Unity you replay the story? Or are you a completionist and you’re going for the 100%?

And since the achievements were a buggy mess, it took longer than it was designed too.
Idk. I just love Unity’s story overall, especially Arno.. and Elise too.. taking pictures of Paris and such. Recently i finished reading Unity book, so I was like… why the heck not to get an Arno’s POV reminded a just roam around Paris again after half a year 😁
Assassin's creed one , I still play it till now even after I finished all the other and after all those years still a great game, the nostalgia and the first feeling still there. 3:06 Unity really ?????? it is the one best gameplay in the whole series especially now with the fixes and mods
Odyssey is the most replayable because decisions matter. Builds are very important. At this moment, I'm trying a mix build (fire + ring ability i can't remember its name). It's amazing against multiple enemies. The world is enjoyable inside the caves, above or under the ocean, on islands, strongholds, legendary animals, mercenaries.
@sujeto026 For some reason I never succeded in making an archer build work no matter how hard I tried, one day tho... It's so much fun to character build in this game
I like valhalla, but just for the vikings and middle ages and i don't like too much ancient greece, but it's crazy how Odyssey, a game 2 years older than valhalla is way better in everything, even the graphics, at least for ps4 version...
Agreed, in my opinion the biggest problem with Valhalla is the setting. Viking England is leagues behind Spartan Athenian/Greece
I love Odyssey, I have 8k hours in it, I played it so many times, I have 300+ NG+ and a few NG, prob around 20

It's the third i play unity already, and how is syndicate's parkour mole polished? Seems like you don't know what you're since Syndicate's is too laged and even more automated than unity, you can't even use the jump button. Not saying that London is not good for parkour. Saying syndicate's parkour is better than unity is mindless.
I know already that I'm gonna get in trouble for liking Syndicate more than Unity, I feel like I'm crazy for feeling this way but also I think people are not giving syndicate a proper shot
No shame from me. People don’t seem to realize that everyone is different. For me, I’ve replayed unity so much and have 200+ hours. But that’s just me, and I know that not everyone enjoys it as much as me and that’s okay.
If only everyone on the internet was as chill as you are my friend. I plan to continue the Unity dlc after Finishing Syndicate, I heard that the DLC specifcally is great so I'm excited to play it

@@Ganion The thing is that I just cant stomach it as an AC game, it feels like I am playing god of war already, to many mortal kombat things in a supposedly more realistic game....I am not against fantasy games, I love em but they should stop slapping the AC logo and name on games that should be just their own things

There's so much more to AC1 than most people realise. Best parkour system, best combat, story hidden in every crevice. Seriously watch the video on AC1 combat by DaBeanieBoi. You will want to replay the game.
Odyssey is by far my favorite ac game yea it get boring sometimes but cause of grind but man its fun and in my opinion I like the story my favorite side quest was the 100 hand ouuu it was something different and unique I didn’t expect to do that type of mission an it was connected to the cult of kosmos

For a while I thought that the problem is my pc, I thought that there’s no way that this amazing game I kept hearing about was this janky and weird.
Until I upgraded my whole setup and realized that the problem wasn’t me
I gave up on Valhalla after 100 hours; I'm sorry guys.
I realize how stupid it sounds but honestly it felt like an abusive relationship, I try my hardest to explain it but I kept coming back to this game for a reason I do not understand even when I hated it
AC odyssey is the best and has the most replay value

It just has so much value for the money it’s mind boggling, last time I payed this little for this much quality open world exploring was when Fallout 4 released

@@Ganion *ehhhh it's hard to compare medieval to modern day adventures. I put 100 hours into Fable. 100 hours into Skyrim. 150 hours in Odyssey. 200 hours in Fallout 4. 250 hours in Valhalla...and 300 hours in Far Cry 5....the numbers never lie* 😎

I think enjoying the story again is the best replay value, instead of getting a different ending or having a different build etc. Hence i'd argue that all the linear games have more replay value than newer rpg games
I agree to a point. If you put all the replay value responsibility on the story and then the game has a bad story you’re just kinda fucked
On the other hand if there is for example a good and a bad ending and you don’t like how the story turns out when you play it, you can go for the other ending

I like the story and characters in Odyssey but I could only get 10 hours into it because I really don't like the gameplay. Character control feels so loose, like a lady of the night on sunday morning.
I wanted to see more story, it's a shame i couldn't get on with the rest.
AC 1 isn't that replayable, only for nostalgia's sake because there is nothing to gain for doing things differently. It's a linear game with little else to do than the story. Gathering all the flags is very unsatisfying because it won't give you ANYTHING. Believe me, I did it xD
AC 2 is pretty much the same as AC 1 in terms of replayability, but there is far more to do here. However, last time I played it was a few years ago and I did a 100% run, so all collectibles - flags, feathers etc. everything done. I no longer feel the need to ever play the game again, though it was one of the best games of my teenhood.
Honestly the only games I've been replaying is Black Flag, Unity and Odyssey. I've got over 550 hours in Odyssey because I keep coming back and doing another 100% run xD The least replayable one is Valhalla. Because it's ridiculously long AND has no NG+. Also got bored 3/4 of the game and left it on the shelf. Graphically impressive though. Mirage is too unmemorable to replay, doesn't feel like a really good story.
AC1 is so much fun. best parkour system, best parkour playgrounds, best combat(seriously). It's crammed full of story too, Ubisoft still haven't worked through everything AC1 set up.
Technically Odessey is pre AC which is the prequel to the AC franchise, what's confusing how do you define a Pre AC Origin Prequel which is actually not even Assasination Focused
Couldn't disagree more about Unity lol but totally respect your opinion. Easily the most fun and replayable Assassin's Creed for me. I love the parkour, atmosphere of the city, and ability to enter so many beautiful interiors. Idk just to me it is just the best Assassin's Creed game.
To each his own I guess, the best part about the AC series is that there is always at least one game that any kind of person will love. Beauty in diversity
I completely agree with Unity being a letdown. So many people prop the game of this platform as the ultimate AC experience. It's an incredibly fun game with a brilliant world. It's not perfect, and the parkour doesn't always work, but the game is fun to play. Odyssey on the other hand, being the black sheep of the franchise is just as incredible if not better overall. Some fans can hate it all they want. Odyssey doesn't have the best story, or the best combat. Unity doesn't either and the customization options in Unity are much worse imo. Odyssey has a beautiful world, so many cool weapons and outfits, and even with the bad writing, Alexios is still an amazing character. There are some great side characters like Barnabas and Herotodos. The different ways to play the game build off Origins which is a masterpiece. I love Bayek to death, but Odyssey is a much different game with better replayability. I'm currently going through the game to max all skills including mastery and get all the different legendary Isu weapons. It explores the AC universe in a different way, giving us a proto-assassin that quite honestly is nice. The book also greatly improves the story even though Kassandra is the protagonist they decided on. Both protagonists have their strengths and the game works. A great UI, cool abilities, beautiful setting, and a badass hero. All I need to replay a fun game. Its more replayable than the Witcher III for me. Some fans just hate it too much. I don't mind if they don't like it, but it is far from a terrible game and it's not even bad for an AC game.
I agree with basically everything you said! I’m playing it for the first time now on PC and it looks even better than I am used to. Such a wonderful game to chill with and enjoy my free time, especially compared to stressing over finishing the current COD battle pass and stuff like that.
I play as Kassandra cause I think she’s honestly hilarious with her delivery but I’ll give Alexios a shot next time. Do you think the book is worth buying? I never even realized they made a book to add to the story
@@Ganion The book is way better. It condenses the story, gives you the plot, the main points in the game, and honestly, if the game had no dialogue options, stuck with the book narrative, it'd probably be a 10/10. Just want my boy Alexios as canon though. The book is also canon so if you want to know what really happens, there's that. I can't play CoD as of now. I don't want to get into that grind.

And trust me man, don’t start the COD grind. These damn live service games make me feel constantly guilty for not finishing battle passes and shit. One of the reasons that I try to focus on single player games more
@@Ganion I quit Apex for that exact reason. Also, the book is just the main campaign but how everything a actually happened. For instance, Alexios dies canonically with the rest of the family living.
Mirage is really short and sweet a completely breath of fresh air compare to the rpg trilogy. i see myself will replay the game once in awhile
I finished my first Permadeath play though of it not so long ago. Made a whole new video about how much I enjoyed it.

Odyssey is beautiful and i played 5 times, but valhalla has the best soundtrack, sentimental places and i played 3 times. I think Rogue is the lowest in my rates.

Although i repeatedly hears the same phrase after each game ranking which let's all agree was cringe 😂!!! I continued to watch till the very end as to the moment my gf saw a female character in more than one scene of oddesey gameplay . I've kept her away from this title for a reason to do all my side missions .. So to cut long story short she bought her own on Xbox

@@Ganion it might.. I know a lot people thought the ending was a bit nihilistic but he had just lost his love so it was understandable. Not to spoil the dlc but I can say it’s important if you want closure on the original ending. I love unity with a passion but as I say, AC is like James Bond.. everyone has their favorite and no one is wrong.

@@Ganion Rogue has better quality than Black Flag, better combat than Black Flag. But unfortunately the story is too short. I don't really recommend it, because the game is already quite old. But the decision is yours.

Odyssey is #1, over ANY AND EVERY GAME. 2 is Valhalla, 3 is Origins, 4 is Unity, 5 is syndicate, and 6 is Mirage….if you really care to
Valhalla was Terrible because of it's K& M bad controls
Back in the day it was the original AC. Then AC 2 and AC Brotherhood. Now. it's Origins and my favorite is Odyssey. I absolutely dislike Valhalla and i can't stand Basim, so I never bought Mirage and never will.

@@Ganion That is true. I love big open world Action/Adventure games and i do not hate Valhalla, i just don't like it. Some ARC's are just too long and boring and the female voice acting is horrible amongst other things. I really hope that Ubisoft will keep this new approach, but i fear that there has been so many complaints that Ubisoft will try to return to the original concept in future games. That would be a shame imho.
anyway, it's clear that if you want to replay Valhalla, you'd need at least another lifetime 😅😆
I feel like an abused wife or something. I go back to it every month or two and after playing for a couple of hours I’m like “this is exactly why I left you! I thought you’d be different this time”
@@Ganion hahah call it ‘a guilty pleasure’ then :))) I get sidetracked almost every time I start up the game to progress further in the main story and after 4 hours I realize that I only completed raids, side missions and world events 😅
mirage is arguably the most replayable thanks to permadeath and NG+
I wish it had some kind of dlc though, I finished permadeath and I’m itching for more Mirage

Usually I don’t replay AC games but since I finished Mirage so fast and I am bored with Valhalla… I’ve been replaying a lot
I played A.C ODYSSEY 3000hours (finished 6 times)-and it's not long as the main story is only 50 hours long...also ORIGINS is good but VALHALLA I knew was weak before I bought it...MIRAGE I didn't buy after checking youtube and the old A.C ones I didn't like because I played them all...blackflag was good...but ODYSSEY best game eveeer made...
I think that AC red will be made by the same team who made Odyssey (might be wrong) so my hopes are extremely high, imagine Odyssey with newer graphics and other good additions. It would be like a modern day Skyrim, infinitely replayable

@Ganion but honestly I never play any of the assassin's creed again ....the reason y play the game again for its dlc ..then whole collection sleeps in library forever.....that 2d and 2.5d have so much replay value than main ones all from Java android and symbian ds versions ....more replay value 👌 for me

I would recommend it but be careful though, my opinion isn’t exactly main stream… if you’ve never played it the I think you should give Black Flag a shot
@@Ganion I guess 3 and 4(Black Flag) will be different and kind of fun...... specially for me since I love combat animations...Iam getting tired of Unity's animation

It kicked my ass the whole way through, I think that partly it's the jank and partly it's the devs trying to incentivise stealth
weirdly enough, i didnt enjoy odyssey at all, i found it too long and too boring, and as you said, its not really a true ac game. i do love the world but honestly it just has too much but everything is too shallow. it probably does have the most reply value because it has a lot of stuff to do, but that imo doesnt mean its enjoyable stuff.
That’s the beauty of gaming at the end of the day, some people value replayability the most and others value graphics or story or whatever it is.
Plus I probably enjoyed Odyssey so much because I loved Kassandra’s voice acting and the Greek world they built for the game
@@Ganion yeah the world was so nice, if only they focused on the quests some more it would have been such a great game. its a shame ubisoft skipped on this. they followed the witcher but they missed the most important part, the writing and the stories.
The game offers one of the best stories in the series .. I don't like to comment about Side quest but AC Odyssey is the most Rated game from the last 8 AC games even Origins 👍

@@Ganion true. I think Odyssey wouldn't have that much hate if it was marketed as a side AC story(A Mercenary's Creed: An AC story)... something like that. Like the dlc in black flag.
I just completed a 100% Valhalla playthrough with all DLC on ps5 instead of ps4 it took over 200 hours even knowing everything, skipping videos etc. did also do the history game thing too so take off 10 hours for only gameplay.

There Is Just Something About The Fact That “A Few Stood Against Many, And Before It Was Over All Of The World Did Know That Even A God King Could Bleed.” Throughout The History Of The World, Throughout Every Battle, Every War Ever Fought, Though It Was Victorious Or An Agonizing Defeat..Yet Sometimes A Pyrrhic Victory There Were In My Honest Opinion None As Courageous As Leonidas, His Last Stand With His 300 Spartans At Thermopylae!!

I know that a lot of people like the new RPG type of assassin's Creed and that I should respect everyone's opinion but sorry with all due respect seeing all og games this low and the just seeing Odyssey titled "The Goat" is hurting My eyes and it gave mental pain and I know that it's your opinion but that's is my opinion
I respect your honesty that’s for sure! no problem man, everyone has a favorite. I love the old games I just hope that they would hold up today, if Ezio’s games FELT smoother and looked better there’s no question that they would be higher.
I guess I’m just hoping for remakes. Either was Mirage seems like a step in the OG direction so I think the future is bright for both fans like me and like you

@@Ganion sorry I meant story in place of graphics and talking about graphics you say unity has not aged well it has the best graphics than any other ac game to this day and also it is in a better state then it was when it came out. So how it has aged badly 🤦

I started working on it but I’m kind of intimidated to be honest, there’s soooo much to talk about and I’m 100% that I’ll miss something

Definitely went up higher on my list since I made this video
Just some points I have:
- Odyssey for me has the same replay value as Valhalla. Hack & slash and mind-numbing combat, repetitive gameplay loop and quests with terrible RPG mechanics that don't have any effect on your character or the world around you, and a mediocre story. Quantity does not equal quality. There's a lot of stuff, but you can't distinguish one area or enemy from another. Its like how Starfield made 1000 planets but the gameplay on each planet is the same regardless of where you go.
- Syndicate is just Unity but worse. Also, the grapple mechanic is a half-baked gimmick that just highlights the poor design of the city in terms of parkour.
- AC1 has probably one the best stories and characters in the series. Probably some of the best writing in the series and the some of the best modern-day to Animus connected stories in the series(Especially that cliffhanger at the end). The gameplay loop is repetitive but the parkour is surprisingly more complex than parkour from Unity to Mirage. It gives players total control and doesn't lock you into animations that can't be canceled or hand-hold you by not allowing you to make mistakes.

- honestly for me Odyssey just feels soooo much better than Valhalla in so many ways even if it is just another hack and slash game. Something about Valhalla's gameplay just feels so washed out
- I can agree on the city design thing but come on man! you're telling me that you don't see how much smoother Syndicate feels? even if it is half baked but at least it feels better to play for me
- AC1 and the Ezio games have hands down the best parkour in the series, crazy how we got the best version from the start and 10 games later we're still striving to get back to that high quality
Odyssey’s story was good but everything else sucks

I’ve had dishonored on my list for so long but never got the chance to play it, how is it holding up nowadays?
@@Ganion it’s great u should try it! If u want story and atmosphere do the first one but if you’re looking for gameplay definitely the second one!
@@Ganion It's still incredible. I missed it when it released as well and played it for the first time in 2020 or something and it immediately hooked me. One of the best action games of the modern times!

Ac black flag is the best to replay it, I platinumed it and replayed it 6 times.
I could understand that, the writing and open world of Black Flag is one of the most engrossing ones in the series
