ok so i bought it n he kinda ripped me off i got a t bird block a 96 mustang crank unknown cam bad pistons all the pullys but power steer valve covers that r the right ones he clams its 92 i think its the older one with lower boost from what i seenbut its a good start.
joe rodriguez well this motor won’t work with your car. The motor I gave is com a 90 super coupe. And the m90 blower won’t fit. You would need the m112 blower that is on the 03-04 cobra. But even then you need to make all of the bracelets to hold it to the intake and all of the piping as well. I know it can be done for I’ve seen it myself. You just have to look on the internet to see how it’s done. Then you need to get it tuned. It’s a lot of work so be prepared if you are going to do it. I hope this helps.
@@shdo69 thank you for your reply glad you told me or I would had got the wrong parts and it would not event haved worked for me good to know I will look amd do more research thank you
I have a 97 V6, bought for $700.00 runs nice, put an est. $2000 into it, nothing performance wise yet, new Exhaust, Intake manifold, cold air coming in a few weeks, not sure whether to put a Turbo/Supercharger on it. I like that setup in the engine. it's a sick, sweet lookin mustang. well done.
@jereldsaxon Thank you. It takes slot of work but to me it's worth it. And I'm not done yet. I still need to get her retuned. Her tune is way off but even with a bad tune she will still rip cars a new ass. Anyway you said you are getting a kit. What lit are you getting? I need to know so I can try to help.
@jereldsaxon I would do that. The stuff you got off that guy sounds like a hot mess and trust me with what you are about to do to your car.....that the last thing you want (a hot mess). Look we took a 90 super coupe with a blown head gasket, ripped it apart and made it better. Once done then we put it on my car. I think that's what you should do as well. Once you have it in your car running then get it Dyno tuned.
but i have a 96 mustang 3.8 i converted to five speed. rebuilt engine 2 times. true duel ex one cat per side to glass packs to flat tips. sct tuner cai, hid with the same lights as u
@benbetterbefore I haven't raced any foxbodies in my mustang so I really wouldn't know but if I would have to take a guess I would say yes. Now I have raced the fox with my SRT Caliber and walked away from him. Got three cars on him.
do you know the cc in the dished stocked pistons n effects of higher compression flat tops. this is my first peformance buiilt engine n i want to beat kb cobras so i gotta build her tuff eventualy a bigger blower n t45 trans n 8.8 rear that el need some beefin up goal tho is to pick the front end up when im done
I know this is a little late but what injectors did you stick in. Or did you keep stock. If you changed injectors, did you need to take it to a tuner shop to get it to run?
i dont really like what i bought cuz its a mess of mis matched parts i found a 90 cougar xr7 at a local junkyard that runs i might get that for my starter build n use the other for parts
@jereldsaxon Wow you got some big goals there my friend. I didn't build my motor. I friend of mine did. I know some stuff when it ces to my car but my buddy is the shit. So I'm sorry I really don't know. We don't have the stock pistons in my car. We bored the block 30 over so we had to go with a bigger piston. It sounds like your going to have a mean ride when your done.
Is M90 big enough for this engine?? I see lots of guys putting M112 in Ponys?? What kind of power this engine makes?? What is 1/4 mile time?/ Thanks,....and can't tell, what kind of intake manifold this engine has?? From Supercharged Thunderbird?? Thanks=)
Eero Laukkanen the M12 works for the 99-04 3.8. This is the same setup as the SuperCoupe ( the supercharged Thunderbirds). As a matter of fact the motor is out of a 1990 SuperCoupe but the blower is from a 95. Much better blower from the 1990. As for power, we went to dyno the car and as soon as it started making power the transmission housing cracked under the stress. But at the time before we shut it down it started to make around 250 hp and 340 tq. And that was at the beginning of 4th gear so we know the hp would have been much more. As for the intake, it's the stock SuperCoupe intake.
Eero Laukkanen the intake from 04 is different then the one from 94-98 so the M90 won't fit on a 04 without making a custom intake for it. That's why they use the M112 for the 99-04.
OK, understand! But, in yours, how deep, what is the inside height of your customized intake adapter?? Like to get an idea, if I make one for M112?? Distance from bottom to upper edge?? Thanks=)
Eero Laukkanen that I can't tell you. My car is a 96. Mines not a custom intake. It's the stock SuperCoupe intake. Remember this whole motor is a SuperCoupe swap. You would need to check out the V6 Mustang boards for that.
Kudos again on the swap man. What year super coupe heads did you end up going with? Wasn't sure which years were best. I'd imagine the 94-95 heads had the best flow. I did this swap a few months back, and just wanted to get some input on what I should consider improving in the near future. I did a stress test on my car a few weeks (check videos) after the swap, and it somehow held up, but I know it won't last forever. I'm using stock 97 mustang heads, but I ported them, along with other mods.
@jereldsaxon To tell you the truth I really don't know to much about stroked motors other then they are fast as hell. If you can do it right then I say do it.
now you should try to buy a pro charger from american muscle and connect it to your super charger, i want to do that to my mustang but everyone keeps telling me it will blow up...... i just think they dont know what they are doing. as i see it i am perfectly fine because they are both belt driven and only move as fast as the pullies move
Hey Shdo69. I actually learned a lot about my build from watching a couple of your M90 videos. I saw you are running the SC engine. Sounds like something I should do in the future. I'm surprised my mustang block is still holding together. I'm sure it won't forever. haha. Hows your car been since the swap? Ever get that radiator fixed??
I actually replace the radiator. I also swapped out the supercharger pulley. I went with a smaller pulley. I also took out the AC condenser. The AC didn't work anyway so there was no big deal in removing it. Now there is more room for air to flow through the intercooler. My friend did the same thing you did. He supercharge his mustang block. His engine is holding up just fine. We went with the SC engine only because we had one. Other than that I would've done the same thing you did.
ok so i bought it n he kinda ripped me off i got a t bird block a 96 mustang crank unknown cam bad pistons all the pullys but power steer valve covers that r the right ones he clams its 92 i think its the older one with lower boost from what i seenbut its a good start.
Brother, what spark plugs does that engine use?
@JakeCowman93 It was from a Honda. The kit fit very nice under the bumper reinforcement.
Does the m90 have any problem boosting through the added volume of the fmic?
No. I have lost maybe 1 or 2 psi of boost but it runs more efficient.
@@shdo69 that's what I had figured. I have m90 gen 3 I'm going to custom fab up for a budget fmic setup. What iat do you see running this at wot?
Mad Mod with my gen 3 with the pulleys set up at 20% over driven the car was hitting 15 psi. With my gen 4 and the stick pulleys it’s at 12
Great video I want to try to find this set up for my 2000 3.8 mustang as well any tips you can share if any thank you

would a wider exhaust and new headers make a stock 96 v6 sound meaner?
