Getting rid of the rodents is important. It’s not an emotion. It’s not about anybody’s feelings. The animals are destructive. So well done doing a very difficult task. Love your videos! Love from Vermont.

Evicting those rodents is a necessity when your property entertains guests and pets. Rather than choosing a ‘permanent’ solution, they are being given a much kinder option. With you 100% Phil👍🏻👍🏻

Don't feel guilty Phil, you have the right to clean up so they'll move away, plain and simple. You're not killing them and that's the bottom line. Ignore the few who just want to upset you. You're a great guy and very compassionate and we love you!

You are doing the best thing, moving the critters on, and as others have said, you are not harming them, just trying to give them a big nudge that they are not wanted at yours, and to move away to another area, where they will not be a threat to your dog, or the banks where you live. xxx

Dear Phil, the rodents are not native to your area and it’s unfortunate when people bring animals native to other areas, into countries where they don’t belong. Your dog was attacked and God forbid a visiting child gets hurt. You are really ahead of the game this year, congratulations! You are a good soul, Phil. Love from Pennsylvania. xx

4:21 to 4:57: YES! Excellent idea! Be excited. You can have a beer/wine garden/patio next to the stalls. Have a few portable toilets and sinks amongst the trees/shrubs.
When you have time, renovate the caretaker's cottage. Once you have electricity in the cottage, you can have a refrigerator for anything needed in the beer/wine garden/patio. (I see the ground floor as a lounge space with wood burning cook stove...to make tea and warm up leftover food/takeaway from your pub. 😊 Upstairs...cozy loft sleep area with a mountain of pillows.)

It's great that you have the tools/equipment available to you, the mower did a great job. Yeah invasive species harming family pets, wild live and property is not cool. They probably carry disease as well. Drop a firecracker down the hole and scare them out. I'd be terrified to have them on my property. We have a rabbit in our yard right now, it's cute and does no harm so it's welcome. ☺ So glad your friend was pleased! He's talented and I was happy to join his channel.

Definitely has to be done. The detractors should consider the harm the imported invasive species do to the landscape and put the local ecosystem out of balance. A prime example is the introduction of grey squirrels who decimated the native red squirrels. We are currently doing battle with muntjac deer, another imported species. You have my sympathy.

Had a full-size diesel-powered tractor to do the job. Taught me responsibility in maintaining it prior to using it, check motor oil level, fuel it and grease all the joints on the mower and tractor, at each grease fitting points.

So glad you're able to get the flail mower and get a head start on the "outer banks". Spring always helps with depression, I feel, as there is sunshine and so many blossoms. The chateau looks great; it is amazing that one man is maintaining all of this!
Those coypu have to go, one way or another. THEY WEREN'T THERE FIRST - THEY ARE AN INVASIVE SPECIES 🤦‍♀ Geez, people, if you can use RUclips you can use Wikipedia to look up where and how they were brought to Europe, and how quickly they breed, like I did. I posted before, but maybe a reminder is needed: coypu have a gestation period of 130 days; an adult nutria (coypu) can produce two litters a year and be pregnant for a third. Sexual maturity is 4-6 months of age and they can produce a first litter by 8 months of age. THEY BREED YEAR ROUND WITH UP TO 13 PER LITTER. Phil, you are a gent to not use statistics to educate viewers - I know you are trying to be kind to us and the coypu.
One good thing: you've wanted to clear some of the unwanted trees and overgrown shrubs from the banks and this is permission to do so and not worry too much about it. We both love nature and would never kill a creature or a tree, but the coypu are already killing the trees. Get Billy, Michael, and Ryan in and have a field day with all the Big Boy Toys.😘

You're doing a great job, Phil! The garden is looking so beautiful. No worries about getting rid of the nasty little unwanted guests in your moat. The rodents are definitely invasive, so do what you have to do. It really can't be helped. Here in the U.S., conservationists are working to reintroduce beavers back into various areas of the northwest to help deter wildfires. It's actually working because beavers were always supposed to be in these places, but were pushed out by agressive farming practices since in the early 1900s. Those rodents you've got are a completely different situation. I don't like people killing animals, but sometimes it just can't be helped. Non-native Burmese pythons have become such a huge problem in the Florida everglades, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has started allowing landowners to kill them without a permit to help protect the fragile eco systems in the everglades. Anyway, I'm glad things are continuing to get better for you. You just keep ticking through your list, sweetiepie. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your fruit and veg garden. Hope to see you back again soon! 😘💕
