    I knew I believed in you both. I knew that Marc was very bright and a scholar. I enjoyed what seemed like your fey lifestyle, combined with a goodly amount of determination. What I did NOT know was where this was all going or how grand and informed your plan was. What a delightful surprise. Now we have, as before, your delicious sense of humor, darling children, fascinating sense of design, strength of conviction, married to the grand plan - and a way to pay for the whole thing. Tigers could not drive me away. Thank you!

    I remember seeing the Alpes from the Ardèche for the first time, driving from Aubenas back to the Rhône valley to go to Switzerland and then home to Alsace, having had to pick up a rental car in Aubenas after being involved in an accident on the A6 … silver lining and all that, the summer evening view across was so spectacular that we stopped to watch and admire… move forward 20 years, and with my English students taking then on walks and to Aubenas, all of us in awe of it all… so I know exactly what Marc is looking forward to achieve ! What? Mark is wearing sandals outside in the middle of winter! Thank you for starting a channel that spotlights the works pertaining to the exterior of the chateau. Now i can go back and watch an episode of Amy work on the tiles for the bathroom because all of the work you present is quite informative. Best to you from sunny California.
    Quoi?

  • @michaelschwaiger8071
    @michaelschwaiger8071 Год назад +1

    The yew trees were planted to create a forced perspective (to be seen from the château). That’s basically a good idea at the back end of a garden, but not at the terraces right in front of the château. I’m not a big fan of yew trees in general; also they’re quite toxic. So good job removing them!
