      Shock resister, you’d probably be surprised at how “free thinking” the Duggar kids are now. They’ve really grown and blossomed as they’ve made their way out in the world. There was a lot of good in their upbringing in learning good character as well as being sheltered. I think they keep their opinions to themselves probably to be respectful of their family especially their parents.

      its important to understand though that you can be loving and tolerant of ppl who have different beliefs and values while still holding true to your own beliefs. it is the purpose to make christianity more attractive to those who are without God and a church.. God wants christianity to be more attractive so more can be saved.. but the values of christianity have not changed from the Bible. if you want to become a christian it is about being born again and living your life for christ. the old you dies, and the new you is born. and while you’re still susceptible to sin, instead of diving further into sin, you repent and have faith in God that He will get you through that tribulation. it is about fully trusting in God and relying on that pure faith to get through this temporary life here on Earth before we receive the gift of eternal life with our creator.

      That may be a true remark, but it seems like that's what Jinger is trying to embody. As a non-Christian, it's actually horrifying to see the way Christians are behaving these days. I read an article about that 12 year old who was shot and killed after getting into trouble with cars. The number of Christians seeing that as an appropriate action was horrifying. But reminded me of how Baptists could go to church and then lynch someone on their way home. I would never describe Christianity as "tolerate" or "peaceful" as an outsider looking in. But I believe Jinger is trying to embody those traits

Doing good deeds because you want to go to the good place and be reunited with loved ones and not enjoying life and being yourself with your own beliefs because you don’t want to go to the bad place, that really doesn’t sound like freedom to me. "living her best life's does not ring a bell with what a Christian life is.
      Christians are waiting for the better life, eternal life. This life doesn't promise anything 'best', on the contrary, hardships, sorrow. The world hates true followers of Christ.
      John 15:20-21 (KJV) Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep your's also.
      But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
      Jesus did not promise us the best life on earth.
      Titus 2:12 (KJV) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
      When you following Christ, you are not living your life.

      For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
      For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
      For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

    I’ve never really followed or k own much about the Duggars, but stumbled up this today, and wow! What a delightful young woman! I really don’t see how any healthy Christian could argue with the theology Jinger currently embraces! It’s an exciting life when your faith journey reaches this place! 💖

    While I personally believe Jinger still has a long journey ahead of her and a lot more to deconstruct from, she has come a long way and I’m so happy she has had the openness and introspection and the intelligence, as well as her husband’s support, to start questioning her family’s unhealthy ways and come to her own findings and ultimately her own personal peace. May she continue to heal, progress and grow as much and effectively as she has done so far, and hopefully lead some of her siblings by example to help them escape that toxic, fearful environment 👏👏👏

    I’m so very proud of you! I was so fearful because of the way I was taught. I left the religion all together because I felt like no matter what I did, I was doomed. When I turned about 25, I started really learning and talking to people in other faiths that I realized that God loves me and he made me perfectly imperfect. As long as I keep him in front of my decisions and listen to what he is telling me and realize that he knows I am not perfect and I will fall short and IT IS OKAY WITH HIM! It was so freeing. I proudly can say I talk to my God everyday and I know that no matter what as long as I humble myself and always remember that he will forgive me because he made me. I can be a Christian and not live in fear. Keep doing what you are doing girl! So very proud of you.

It's had an effect on me and I've never been associated with such a religious pull. I LOVED how you said you would encourage your kids to explore college options and new interests if that's what they wanted!! Jinger, you would be great with working with teens and younger women of similar situations. I will be purchasing your book and look forward to reading it. Very genuine indeed..good luck Jinger, Jeremy, Felicity, and Evy on the path of happiness and adventures in L.A or wherever your hearts lead you🙏❤️

    There is a difference between indoctrination and faith. I grew up in a home and church like this. It wasn't the same minister but the rigidity of religion was certainly there. I had to come to the same place in understanding what I grew up in. I had to find my own faith outside of the indoctrination of what I grew up in. I am so thankful that Jinger is on a healthier faith journey.
