Fair enough, Jerred. I got the X-T5 because of the smaller size (a little less intimidating to portrait subjects), the screen mechanism, and the dials, and not just for looks. Sometimes I am in situations where I am not shooting right that second but I'm thinking about my default settings to capture unexpected action or whatever it may be next, and I like to be able to select all the settings without having to turn the camera on and look at screens. Not a make or break thing but I do enjoy that. Rock on 🤘🏻
Rock on as well man! And the X-T5 is AMAZING. It really is. If I had bought that and not the X-H2, I'd be super happy with it. The image quality on both those sensors is fantastic!
Thanks for showing these 2 cameras side by side so much in your video. I received the impression from several other reviews that the X-H2 is so much bigger than the X-T5. Looking at them at 6:09, they don't seem to be, other than that the X-H2 is a fair bit thicker. Is that what people mean when they say bigger ... thicker? Am I not seeing it right? Would love some clarification. Thanks!!
Yeah, I think they are mostly talking about the thickness in the hand with the grip. The X-H2 fills the hand completely when gripping it, while the X-T5 has a much slimmer profile. Overall though it's not too much of a drastic size difference, in my opinion!
I ask myself the same question. I’m about to upgrade from the XT3 and as much as I love Fuji’s retro design, I think the XH2 ticks more of my boxes for an all purpose camera.
omg i have that same issue with the evf on the a7iv vs a7siii! sounds such a small thing but honestly makes a huge difference when trying to use manual focus. great comparison between the two cameras!
I was in the same boat but decided to return the XH2. It was harder than I thought as the XH2 really grew on me. I’m not as video focused, so those benefits did not weigh on me as much. Already having the XT2 it’s functionality has become second nature to me. I agree with you the price difference is minimal for all the extras you get with the XH2. Fuji definitely could have given us the better EVF, a CF express card slot, and ability to add a vertical grip for the price.
Had a similar experience I first got the XH2S and loved the specs but soon as the XT5 was announced I returned the XH2s. The higher specs on it were nice to have but since I’m not a video primary shooter they didn’t make much difference in my use. I traded down mainly because of the size. Despite having large hands the grip on the XH2s was not comfortable, I found my self stretching and sometimes hitting the wrong buttons. Ideally, Fuji releases the stacked sensor in the XT5
I have had an X-H2 for 8 months since upgrading from an X-T4 but try as I have, I couldn’t get any way as much enjoyment from using it. I also have an X100VI so have decided to swap over to an X-T5 as using that will be so much easier and fun when switching between the X100 and X-T5. Maybe it’s an age related thing but the dials just work better for me.
There can only be one!! They are both great cameras. The X-T5 is my designated compact travel camera. I am going to try out the rented X-H2s tomorrow for a dance performance.
I used a rental XH-2s for a dance performance last night. It is a little beast! The autofocus isn't as good as my Z9, but it is still quite good. The buffer never quits. I unintentionally changed the primary card slot to the SD rather than the CF Express card, so the performance suffered a bit. This is a very impressive camera! I will rent an X-H2 camera and compare it to the X-H2s before I decide on which model to purchase. I could use the higher resolution X-H2 model for cropping if it is fast enough for sports type photography. I also used my everyday XT-5, but it simply isn't in the same class for fast action, but it serves a different purpose.
"....there can be only one..." LOL! I was so bummed when Ramirez was beheaded.... I have to agree with you about the $300 value point. I also don't think dials should be the deciding factor when spending so much money on a camera. It has to be a performance for the price choice. I have a feeling both XH cameras are going to see improvements that make them better and better. I hope in a while I will be able to buy a used body to step up from the XT-3. But, don't see that happening any time soon. And, I have no major complaints with the T3 anyway. I have to say that I do like the dials, but it's not a must have for the future. I'm wondering about the Fuji Rumors regarding the X-S20 they've predicted. Have a great week!!
Thanks, Charlie! I'm glad you liked the movie reference! HA! Love those old movies. And "performance for the price choice" is a good way to look at it!
You have to shoot what works for you. For me it's still an X-T4. Seems I'm always behind the times, but that works for this old guy. Nice video Jerred, keep up the good work.
Chuck, I'd probably be with you if it weren't for me doing all this other stuff on RUclips, ya know? I used to rarely get new camera bodies... but lately that's changed! Thanks as always.
I agree and bought the XH2. The EVF is the big decider for me. I always ended up buying a grip extender for my XT bodies so no need with H2. Cards are not important as do not rapid fire often. Have CF express set to record movies only. With regard to the bodies, while I like the dials, speed and ISO were always set to auto so not important either. Only part of XT5 I would have preferred on XH2 is the lcd angle verses flip.
Thanks for this Jarred I’m ready to get the XT5 or XH2 and the points you have raised about both cameras made me swing to the H2, I also love the higher res screen and the fact that it takes a battery grip. Keep these videos coming mate, just love the content. I’m also a keen OM-1 user. Regards from the UK. 🙏
Thanks, David! You rock, and I appreciate the support more than you know. The X-H2 is AMAZING. I went out the other day for a 11 hour road trip with the XH2 and I just find myself liking the camera more and more. Cheers!
I bought both and used them extensively on the street and during paid shoots. I sold the X-T5. Though I miss the analog dials and love the titling screen, the X-H2 has a way better build and the buffer with the CF Express card makes this a raw shooting beast. I've learned to get used to the goofy fully-articulating screen and the PASM dial.
Ondra - I just checked my video file and I had the setting on that file incorrectly dialed in. Thanks for telling me about it - I'll make sure to fix it in the future.
My thoughts on this is that my dream camera is a GFX100 II. But can’t afford that. So the XH2 is like a baby GFX. The layout is similar. The XT5 dials on top make me think I will enjoy photography more but I am leaning to a XH2 now.
Xt-5 makes a ton of sense for stills only/mostly photogs. Cheaper, same sensor, plenty of speed for nearly all paid events, super easy and familiar for those coming from the xt4 or xt3. This allows you to use both bodies without having to think at all. I think a lot of ppl won’t like the button lay out on the xh2 (some will prefer of course). Same cards as XT series. The screen is easier to use for photography. The ONLY advantage to a flippy is if you are recording yourself. Just an all around awesome value IMO
If I was choosing it would have to be the XH-2. I had the XH-1 and sold it a few months ago and I loved the form factor. I miss the rear screen. I miss that camera. I wanted to go full frame and got the Panasonic S5. Which I enjoy but still miss that Fuji.
Yeah, I have been debating on which to get, sitting on xt2 with the battery grip and XS10 for the smaller profile, and you sold me on xh2 due to grip and EVF. Curious on what's next in the series?
Great video 👌 I’ve bought the xt5 because someone was selling it brand new opened for 1400.00 but I like the xh2 more because of the evf and Better buffer
A year later, are you satisfied with your choice? I bought an X-T5 about 6 months ago and love it, but saw an OB X-H2 on Adorama for a price I couldn’t resist. At least to try it out. If I have to pay return shipping, it’s like a small rental fee. Anyway, now I have both and trying to decide between them. I am pretty much in line with your thoughts. I love the look of the dials but literally never use them. Command dials only for me. I personally prefer a tilty screen, but would get used to flippy. I love the EVF of the X-H2. But… man. That design aesthetic of the X-T5 is so gorgeous. However… THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
The dial have a flaw, happened 3 times when I used XT. If not locked, the ISO dial have only few steps between, base ISO and the Max ISO. Destroyed the photo session, the images were un useable.
I bought the XH2 for 300.00 more, better grip, Cfexpress evf etc etc etc. I just added the XF100 400 lens. The 300.00 for all the extra features is cheap.....better value as you say for ME.
I wanted the XH2 for the grip and viewfinder upgrade, but haven’t found anything in stock so I ordered the XT5. I still might return it and wait for that XH2 stock to come in. Having that extra cash for a lens is definitely a bonus though.
No battery grip for the XT-5 was a deal killer for me.(The first camera in the XT line that does NOT offer this feature. I do also agree with all your comments regarding the “advantages” of the XH-2.
I’d honestly look at the XT5 for a travel camera or just stick with the X-S10 (X-S20 is also rumored) I’ve got an XT4, tested the XH2S/XH2/XT5, bought the XH2S. Also recently bought an X100V. Unless you are looking for 8K video or prefer PSAM, I struggle to see the point of the XH2. The resolution increase hardly outweighs the professional benefits of the XH2S (with few exceptions like landscape). The XH2S is seriously on a different playing field. It’s Canon and Sony fast. It’s also Canon and Sony boring. But I pick it up first for all of my professional work. My X-T4 on the other hand… is my favorite camera to shoot. I bring it traveling, for street photography, and currently for daily life photography. Though I do plan to replace it with the X100V for everyday photography. X-T5/XH2 isn’t a big enough upgrade to justify replacing the X-T4, in my opinion. It doesn’t have that noticeable gap in performance like the XH2S has. Maybe that’ll change with a future firmware upgrade. But seeing as your X-S10 has the same X-Trans IV sensor as my X-T4… I’d either wait for a firmware upgrade or the X-S20, or consider if the speed advantages of the XH2S are worth it to you.
Thanks for this video. Reconfirms my decision. I was excited about the XT5 until I learned it doesn't offer the option of a battery grip. FUJI. EVERY XT model has had the battery grip option, EXCEPT the XT5! I just bought two weeks ago the XH2 WITH the FREE Fuji battery grip, memory card, nice camera bag, and NO sales tax from B&H for only $1849, and with my large hands the XT5 with just a Fuji HAND grip would have cost the same. I like the battery grip honestly for the vertical grip and the quick switch to Boost mode. LOVE also the super high resolution view finder.
I find myself now wanting to reduce my inventory of non-Panasonic to begin building up new funds for something new, big, bigger! I love my GX85, but now I have an itch for a full frame, or maybe upgraded lenses (lumix g to lumix leica). I lean toward utilitarian minimalism.
Thanks Jerred! Curious if you also kept the A7iv? I’m looking into getting the X-H2 and currently on the A7IV, would love to hear your thoughts on the two cameras and eco-systems.
Hey, Chad! I ended up selling the A7iv after the X-H2s 3.0 update. The camera is pretty much my go-to camera for anything I need that's high-quality video related and fast-paced photo related. It's pretty awesome. The Sony was awesome as well... but for me, I was already more invested in the Fuji ecosystem, so it made total sense!
@@JerredZ Thanks! With the new update, how close is the Fuji's eye AF/Subject Detection? Watching some other comparisons it seems very close now. With 6 kids all using Finepix Bridge or sport cameras, the X cameras seem to be a logical next step for them. For myself however I've had a hard time putting together a kit that would do what I want (fast kids, wildlife, etc.). The Sony's color science and SOOC jpegs usually are not close to what I want as a former Nikon shooter. Fuji's colors always impress. Thinking of the 70-300 with 1.4 TC. Love your website btw, well done!
@@cohoonatube Chad, I think it's much better now. Not as good as the X-H2s of course, but it's fine now, at least in my limited tests! The 70-300 is a great lens, although I haven't tested it too much with the 1.4 - I've seen some good results out there though! Good luck, Chad! Keep rocking!
If you're not going to be photographing with long glass l like the Xt5, but because I shoot many different subjects with different kinds of glass I have both and will keep both.
The only thing I hate is that the X-T5 is using UHS-II cards which are now, weirdly, more expensive than a CFExpress B card. I am neither a video or burst shooter but it's nice to have that future proofed CFExpress B slot
The 16-55 kit lens is a fantastic option, as well as the 16-80, but I'd recommend the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 - it's small, light, and works really well with the X-H2's image stabilization!
For me, the X-T5 is the very line between APS-C and full frame. So X-T5 vs. X-H2 for me means X-T5 vs. full frame rather than X-H2 :) And I chose the X-T5. So far. But who knows, maybe I'll have it different in the future.
Hey! Thank you! You know... I think it mostly works fine in both situations. It's mostly just when the background is really chaotic and the subject is moving erratically where both don't work too well compared to other systems. However - for basic stuff... say general shooting and portraits, they both work pretty well!
I have gfx100s that is not possible to use it everywhere all time and x100v which is for everywhere with me. Now in the middle of these two, I need to select between x2 and xt5. I agree that x2 has better great and viewfinder but for all around Photography xt5 is more convenient. Despite of better viewfinder and articulating screen, what is your preferable body for all around when still you have gfx100s in your car and x100s in your bag (For all around photography)? Thank you
Hello! Well... honestly either the XT5 and XH2 will serve you well. It's seriously up to you and you can't go wrong with either one. A really great camera though is the X-S10... a fantastic body with IS that uses all our lenses... something to consider!
I did consider it, Nathan! Very seriously... but one of the reasons I did keep the X-H2 was because I can program each camera to perform exactly the same... so with the X-H2 and X-H2s, I don't even have to think about it between bodies. I could get my X-T5 to be very similar... but in the end I really like that viewfinder of the X-H2 as well!
Xt5 or Om1 for hybrid wedding coverage which would you pick? I know the 4/3 sensor is smaller but apparently the dynamic range is similar would love to hear your thoughts and which AF system you prefer
Well... honestly it's an easy one for me. The X-T5 and some of the Fuji glass is just spectacular. I'm not as worried about dynamic range as I am about noise in this comparison. So many weddings that I've done are in some really difficult conditions - a dark area where flash isn't allowed, for instance. The Fuji would handle the higher noise better, in my opinion. HOWEVER - I haven't shot a wedding with the Micro 4/3rds system (I've shot almost 100 with Fuji stuff), so take my words with a grain of salt!
I got the xt5 for the form factor and value to price ratio. I also have a sony a74 should I need to shoot video with flippy screen or low light. For my personal use, I prefer the xt5 than the xh2 as I have the option to use it as both a reflex camera with the dials or I can simply use the command wheels like a modern Mirrorless camera. I find the tilt screen better for photography due to no parallax effect when compared to the multi-angle screens, and I can live with the 3.xxx evf resolution too but your mileage may vary. As for the grip, I feel you, it would be nice to have one and I hope a third party manufacturer like meike makes one using the battery compartment (like the sonys)
Totally get it, Jaeger! The X-T5 is an incredible machine in its own right - and the ability to blend both worlds for the dials/wheels people is fantastic. But that grip! I hope someone else gets a good one out there for the X-T5!
I can understand getting the XT5 for the lower price but when you talk about value to price it loses vs the XH2. They gave you an xt5 with a smaller size and a grip that has to be bought, no cfexpress no full-size HDMI lesser EVF. These should gave been included in the price of 1699.00. For 300.00 more the XH2 is a better value, but if you want a smaller size and a flip screen the Xt5 is your choice.
I almost went for the XH2S, but I realized that I don't do fast action. The H2 would be better since it has 40mp that's crazy. If they could add 40 mp to the H2S I would purchase it.
I don't know how Fuji does their battery grips. But I like how Olympus OMD E- M1ii and Panasonic Lumix GH4 that I have that one battery in the grip and one battery in the body. This is good for weddings. I don't like those grips that put a dummy battery in the camera body and two batteries in the grip.
The c profiles really sell it for me on the PASM cameras. The ability to save the focus and exposure modes, aperture, shutter speed, iso to a custom profile! That convince alone is worth the $300. For some, it might take away from the joy of shooting. For others, it might take away the stress and anxiety of having to remember if they set everything up correctly.
You have 7 custom modes for video and 7 custom modes for photography on the X-T5. If you program one of the menu buttons it is as easy to select them as on the X-H2 cameras. Plus you can name them. So the advantage of the C settings on the dials of the X-H2 cameras is a complete misnomer.
@@nwadams1 OK - to a certain extent I get your point. But this no where near as restrictive as the X-T4 where the C settings that could be stored were extremely minimal. For me it is way more flexible and usable than the X-H2/H2S. In Movie mode it records all settings I can set via the controls in each C setting such as shutter speed etc. In Still Mode I can record the min/max settings per C setting if I put it into auto ISO mode - pretty much everything else is stored except for manual shutter speed, exposure comp, and apeture - but in still mode I want to use the aperture ring anyway and put shutter and ISO to Auto on the top dials. For me this is still a lot better than just having anonymous C1-C7 dials on the top. I hated that - and I come from PASM dial cameras and now would never go back to that. Being able to switch between 7 custom modes by selecting Movie and Still (so 14 in total) rather than the basic unamed options on a PASM dial seems way more flexible to me. But that is just me I guess.
@@colinhoward2200I like the point you made here. I'm torn between buying a X-T5 or XH2, and currently I own a Canon 5Dii. As you mentioned, the possibility to name the custom modes in the X-T5 is a great addition as I can picture myself trying to remember in which custom mode I saved what. I mainly shoot stills, but recently I wanted to try with videos too. Apart from the lack of 8K in the X-T5, is there a big difference in video performance between the X-T5 and XH2, or it's very minimal? 🤔 I also noticed the X-T5 doesn't support CF express cards.
I almost feel foolish for saying this, but just having the dials and feel of the X-T5 is important to me..dunno why exactly. For me the decision boiled down to the T5 back screen vs the EVF on the H2. Went with the T5 but that EVF would have been nice 😂
TOTALLY get this! don't feel foolish, friend! I get it. I bought a whole micro 4/3 setup just because I love how small and light it is. People can criticize others easily but they shoudn't!
I'm hearing you brothers and sisters I have too many cameras as well. I have two NikonD 8 50s and I've decided to sell one. I already have a Fuji film XT5 and then suddenly I wanted 100 XV or hundred S. It gets crazy and you end up with too many systems and I think it's just good to simplify everything. I reckon two cameras is perfect having a bigger camera for landscape work say and then a smaller camera for street and portraits that's kind of what I'm gonna go with. I've got the XT5 and I absolutely love it and all the blah about auto focus is a load of rubbish you just need to know how to use a camera to 56. 1.2 allegedly is a little bit dodgy on auto focus that is the older lens and that lens always had issues with every Fuji body so I wouldn't be judging the camera on a particular RUclipsrs video you posted yesterday this photographer is quite famous and I would not listen to him and basically he's a Nikon fan boy. Okay back to this video well what do I think? I think you actually can't go wrong with your body it just is what you need in terms of what you like. The feel of when I held the XHS2 in my hands, it felt really professional and it felt like a full frame camera. Finally enough, that's what I wanted to move away from. I wanted to move to more of a discrete style camera with less tech, but still having a tech inside the body, which is what the XT5 has so for me less was more, but some people would like the tech that the XHT .... I prefer the screen on the XT5 to that is a big decision for me and was quite easy because I didn't like to flip out screen so much. I was always worried it will get damaged as well. Where is the other one it just sits neatly in great video. Thank you and a balanced view. Well done
About a minute and a half into this video I felt like Hank Schrader telling Walter White that the guy standing over him with a gun had “decided ten minutes ago what he was going to do.”
NICE!!!! I almost kept both. Seriously - I was SO close to just keeping them, but I have to downsize for no other reason than I'm insane to keep all I have!!!!
@@JerredZ I use the X-H2 for pro shoots (the cf express b card make this a speed demon) and the X-T5 is my back up. I like the smaller size of the latter plus the dials while having the same resolution and AF capability of the former. So the X-T5 is also my vacation and street shooting machine. Love the dials!!!
Hello, fellow star wars fan. I subscribed to your channel for content and love Star wars as well. Are you team the dark side or team the good side, you can only choose 1.
Hello, friendly Star Wars fan! I'm always on the good guys side. Even when I'm playing video games where I can "choose" to be bad, I never do. I always play them where I try to do the right thing! SO - sign me up for the light!
This is just a few reasons why I chose the X-H2 over the X-T5. Also the X-H2 does 8k video which the X-T5 does not and the X-H2 is the only mirrorless camera that can fully output an 8k video signal via HDMI 2.1. And when you add the professional grip, a whole new era of workflow in conjunction with Adobe just opens right up. Cheers 🍻.
My only reason for getting the X-T5: the X-H2 only has the 16-80mm F4 as a kit option (worst lens Fuji ever made) and the X-T5 gets to choose between that and the good 18-55 F2.8-4. Also the X-T5 has a silver option with proper dials and I would have bought X-H cameras if they were silver and had dials. Hell, I'd pay extra for an X-H2S with classic controls in silver. I honestly never gave a crap about the screen articulation, but the worse EVF does sting. And the lack of battery grip was 96% a deal breaker. The remaining 4% is "I'll keep this camera to flip it as soon as I have an out".
I just went on vacation with my 16-80 as my primary outdoor lens. The results and experience was awesome. The lens might not be Sony level sharp or anything, but it is small, fast AF, good IQ, WR, etc.. for my personal use, that lens totally rocks.
@@MichaelMoore-bx6st It's still Fuji's worst lens. Fuji just makes on average better lenses than almost anyone else. But for me the 16-80 is unusable because focus freaks the hell out while zooming so it's terrible for video. I don't mind that it's not parfocal, but this is like the least parfocal lens ever, it's as if every single mm you progress the zoom the focus motor wants to be on the opposite side of the lens from the previous mm. It's kind of comical. If you only shoot stills, it's OK if a bit soft
@@Vinterloft No argument on the weird things that happen during zooming, but I don't use it for video. IMO it strikes a good compromise between range and size and the build quality is very nice. You can always sharpen a little in post, and not all Fuji users are going for critically sharp anyway. For my purposes, it's a great outdoor personal use stills lens. I have other lenses for other purposes.
Depends, right? Like anything, it's just user choice! For me I love the battery grip for longer, heavier lenses for balance, all-day shooting for battery life, and using the camera vertically with ease. Others don't care about those things, so it's all good - but I'm sad the X-T5 users don't have the choice.
@@JerredZ this battery has roughly 500 to 700 shots so I think that’s enough and then just changing out. The battery is simple enough. I don’t see many people using this camera as a wildlife camera. I think there’s a few people that do but it’s not Fuji film’s main push. I think they just wanted to keep this camera simple and back to the old school roots of just it being a photography camera for a bit of everything and do it well. I’m not a big fan of battery grips and I have used a Nikon D850 and done bird photography with that and for the extra two frames that you get it’s not worth it if you can’t shoot a bird Take up a different hobby are used to shoot birds on film cameras and tests your technique.. Anyways, we can happily agree to disagree but you can always get the XHS2
I have neither, but would choose the X-H2 for the ergonomics, the EVF, and the CF express slot.
I was curious about the autofocus and if it had been fixed like for the XH2S... I need to dig into Fujifilm firmware updates...
Picked up my X-H2 yesterday and enjoying it. View finder is amazing on it.
YES! It's so nice. I love to see the world through it - a small thing that matters more than I thought it would!
@@JerredZ I'm upgrading from a D700 so it's my first mirrorless camera. I need to get some more lenses but the 16-80 is already very nice.
Cheers!
@@JerredZ Thanks mate. I now have the camera with 16-55 and can’t wait to try it out.
Why is footage near 4:35 that choppy? Hm.
Coming from a T3 I got the H2. I got the H2 after the T5 was released. What swayed me? The buffer. All boiled down to the buffer for me.
If I was choosing it would have to be the XH-2. I had the XH-1 and sold it a few months ago and I loved the form factor. I miss the rear screen. I miss that camera. I wanted to go full frame and got the Panasonic S5. Which I enjoy but still miss that Fuji.
H2 for the grip alone. I had the flat XT series. Its so hard to hold with a big lens.
Yeah, I have been debating on which to get, sitting on xt2 with the battery grip and XS10 for the smaller profile, and you sold me on xh2 due to grip and EVF. Curious on what's next in the series?
Awesome, Neil! Glad I could help. And what's next... who knows, right? It'll be fun to find out.
Great video 👌 I’ve bought the xt5 because someone was selling it brand new opened for 1400.00 but I like the xh2 more because of the evf and Better buffer
Nice! That's a GREAT deal on the X-T5!!! I would say you made out amazingly well with one of the planet's best cameras!
But is the XH2 feels a little more heavier than the XT5?
I bought the XH2 for 300.00 more, better grip, Cfexpress evf etc etc etc. I just added the XF100 400 lens. The 300.00 for all the extra features is cheap.....better value as you say for ME.
Yes! It's always a pro/con thing, right? For many people, those differences won't matter, and the X-T5 is a perfect choice!
Thanks, Jeffrey! I know several people who found the grip as the deal breaker, so I get it!
I guess I am more sympathetic in that it's a niche use case when the new processor and battery can shoot 700+ shots.
I’m trying to decide between the XH2 & XH2S… happy with the X-S10 for a travel camera mostly for photography
David, two amazing cameras with the X-H2 and X-H2s!!!
Agreed the EVF is lower resolution - but the X-T5 has a much higher resolution LCD. It is stunningly good by comparison to the X-H2.
Great video. Thanks for the explanation, I'm about to buy xh2, but I don't anything about the cameras. Which lens should I buy For xh2?
The 16-55 kit lens is a fantastic option, as well as the 16-80, but I'd recommend the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 - it's small, light, and works really well with the X-H2's image stabilization!
@@JerredZ thank you.
For me, the X-T5 is the very line between APS-C and full frame. So X-T5 vs. X-H2 for me means X-T5 vs. full frame rather than X-H2 :) And I chose the X-T5. So far. But who knows, maybe I'll have it different in the future.
I haven't held the xh2 but received my xt5 yesterday but will be returning it as it feels cheap in the hands. Just my opinion.
I’ve heard that from some people! I think it definitely doesn’t feel as rock solid as the x-H2, so I can see where you are coming from.
Thanks for the video Jerred. Is there any noticeable different in the autofocus capability either in af-s or af-c mode or face/eye detection? Thanks!
Hey! Thank you!
Would you consider keeping the XT5 and the XHs2? That way you have the best of both worlds!
How did you decide?
For 300.00 more the XH2 is a better value, but if you want a smaller size and a flip screen the Xt5 is your choice.
i get the impression the X T5 is a little overpriced at $1700 or €2000 where i am.
Which is better for video. ?
I almost went for the XH2S, but I realized that I don't do fast action. The H2 would be better since it has 40mp that's crazy. If they could add 40 mp to the H2S I would purchase it.
Totally get that! And yes, the X-H2s would be WILD if it had more megapixels!
Чувак в точку. Меня раньше на X-T1, XT-3!очень волновали эти циферблаты. Сейчас. Спокоен к ним.
@Colin Howard except you can't save all of the same settings to the C profiles on the xt-5 as you can on the xh2/s. That was my point.
Can you do a video about om1 vs xh2s???
I’ll try!
I got myself both. Could bear to sell my XH2 even after getting the XT5.
Good stuff! that was ALMOST me too - but I just had to part with the X-T5. Although now my X-H2 is sad being all alone...
I hear you have an XT5 for sale....
Sold a while back my man!
I’m still torn on which I want lol 😂 none the less great video!
Oh man! Sorry I didn't smooth it out for you. It's a hard one though - if you have questions, just let me know.
@@JerredZ I am curious, is the eye autofocus any more accurate in single shot? Also did you have the camera on high performance? Xt5

Don't hold your breath lol
I got both!
@@Clodrock That totally makes sense!
@@JerredZ Thanks. Awesome video, BTW!
I think it's a shame Fuji didn't go for fewer megapixels and instead for better low-light performance on both these cameras.

Cheers 🍻.
R.I.P. X-T5 😢🖖🏻
Hey - someone else will love it and take great images! But it was SERIOUSLY hard to put it in a box to be shipped!!!
Go with the XH2 for video, its not even close. X-T5 is for photgraphers and has horrible rolling shutter
I really hate battery grips I feel they make the camera look ugly they loses all of its character and honestly do we really really need it
Depends, right?
Both too expensive 😂
It’s just so ugly haha … I’ve kept the XT5 and my A1 is my ugly camera :p
LOL! Hey - I get it! An XT5 and A1 combination is pretty awesome!
