Battery life doesn't matter to me as long as it lasts the day, I have to charge my S21 Ultra every night anyway.
I love the new OS. It's very snappy and you can feel the difference from the Galaxy Watch 3

Hi, Frost, thank you for another great video! I'm wondering if you know how well the Galaxy Watch 4 tracks stairs climbed. I've had my original Galaxy watch for a couple of years and the only gripe I have with it is that it never calculates stairs accurately. I can walk up seven flights of stairs and the watch may only count one flight, if that! I purchased the GW4 and will have it in hand in a few days. I'm hoping the stairs climbed issue has been resolved.
It looks like they just took the floors climbed metric out. I had the same problem with me Gear s3. Hopefully that was helpful
I will never understand how 1 day battery life is acceptable in 2021. Every test I've read everywhere always praises Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch to the skies, then complains about the 3 day battery life on other devices in the same test. What good are all those hours spent developing sleep tracking, when you NEED to charge the watch every night?
It really does count on use case. But I did emphasize that even though the sleep tracking is great on this watch that you really can't use it for that. In my use case I love it and use it every day. Heart rate tracking has improved and the GPS is really good. But 1 day of battery life isn't for everyone and if you're looking for sleep tracking this isn't your watch
I mean yes and no. It does a boat load of things, but if you want to track your sleep you need to schedule your day around charging it. Even if it charged faster it would be more acceptable. Hopefully it will get better as the technology matures
I have the Galaxy Watch 3 and I do like it but I was suckered in by the "blood pressure monitoring" that was promised to be available by early 2021. Are we still waiting on FDA approval or has Samsung just giving up on it, even with the 4 classic. I'm also very disappointed in the quick dump of Tizen. This happened literally 2 months after I bought my 3 direct from Samsung. They do have a trade in option but only $135. Ugh. If I knew the blood pressure monitoring was a sure thing, I would do it right now. Great video!!

I took a look at 4 classic today at local store, and I can say that it seems much faster than my watch 3. I mean rotating bezzle going through widgets lags a lot compared to 4 classic where everything seems so fluid... but the price is still a little bit too high at this point
It definitely feels more fluid with it's functionality. Totally understand the price being an issue

It's not the biggest upgrade and if you're still happy with the 3 iwould say just stay with it. Unless you want to trade it in for the discount through Samsung
I'd stay..my 3 is perfect for now not enough for me to upgrade..as soon as u do the 5 will come out with more..

Pretty sure things will still work, but the 3rd party apps might not be as functional. It's hard to really guess tho
it’s possible disable bezel function to use it like dive watch or to track time elapse ? i mean = disable the bezel to dont go to menu when i turn or spin . I want that the bezel even rotating do not go to menu , i need to stay in pointers face to use tachymeter
They do have a water mode on the watch that will help it not have those accidental touches with water. Was that what you are looking for?
Hello, thnx for the great video, i have one question and that is: how is the auto detection for walking or cycling?
The auto detection has been awesome for me. I didn't try cycling, but I got on an elliptical and it tracked that. Just takes 10 mintues for the walk

10 mintues into your walk you'll see it pop up. Ones where your heart rate gets higher it comes up easily

All of those are pretty much closest to the best you can get on your wrist. Heart rate has gotten better, but I didn't see much of a change to the others as they were very good for more in general
would you recommend this watch for a half marathon or full marathon runner? since battery life might be an issue.
That's not going to be the best for a long distance runner. I would recommend one of the Garmin Forerunner devises for that

My watch 3 tracked my farts last night. Not kidding. I ate 8 oz of baked beans and toast. I think it thinks I am snoring? Can someone help me with this?

This might sound like stupid question, if you can choose only 1 between "GW4 LTE model" and "GW4 Bluetooth model", which one would you decide to go with?
From your experience, do you feel necessary to have the LTE one? Or would you recommend just get the Bluetooth one, then use the remaining cost for extra strap?
The only reason you would want the LTE version is if you are going to be away from your phone a lot and need to be able to take calls and stuff like that. I always have my phone on me so I went with the Bluetooth version. Hopefully that's helpful
@@FitnessWithFrost That helps me make my decision a lot easier. Because my phone stay near me most of the time. But I am new to the experience of using smart watch, so I don't really know about LTE's necessity.

Hey! Thanks for the review. I've got the 40 mm watch 4. I had a few workouts with it, and it has a tendency of losing the heart rate completely for a couple of minutes. I had the same issue with galaxy watch active. I have the watch fitted well and continous heart rate on, also software up to date and tried restarting it. Have you experienced similar? Is there a way to solve it? Thanks!
I had that problem a lot with the Galaxy Watch 3, but not nearly as much with the 4.i would recommend getting an elastic band instead of the silicone one. I'm currently testing a couple to see what one is best
Had this issue with my series 2. Reseated the watch so it is placed below my wrist bone ad this helps. But I have to take your advice Frost and opt for the elastic band instead of the silicone clasp band on this watch and future Galaxy Watches.
Yeah the elastic ones are the way to go if you want a better heart rate reading.
Whats ur sugesrion of geting a renewed watch 3 for 60$and 4clasic for 130$ its double the price whats ur suggestion
I would go with the watch 4 because it is on Wear OS. The 3 is on Tizen and that's not going to be updated at all

It is running a new operating system with Google Wear OS but it runs pretty much the same way but a bit faster. The heart rate monitor is better. You can get your body fat percentage of it as well
6:35 - important to note is that you need a Samsung phone to be able to utilize the snoring feature.

I have the Galaxy watch 4 classic in silver I went for the bigger one it's very beautiful I did notice his faster very fast Much more fluent than the Galaxy watch 3 I traded it for with T-Mobile Great video I loved it I subscribe to your channel take care of yourself love yourself have a wonderful day

I dmt think it's worth the update..not enough for me to switch...a little more battery and sum health stuff dnt cut it oh and 8gb of more storage...I'll wait for the 5 to come out
I think the only thing that I saw a big difference in is the Google Maps integration. When your driving you don't have to look at your phone you can just look at your watch
is it ok to charge my GW4 with pc's usb port?coz I don't have any wall socket available on my desk so USB port of my pc is the only option for me so I wanna ask does charging with PC's USB port would do any harm to watch?
It went do any harm, but it might not charge as fast as it could. Hopefully that is helpful

Which one is better galaxy watch 3 or galaxy watch 4 classic for a person having non samsung phone??
As long as it's an android phone the answer is Galaxy Watch 4 since it has the Google play store and is running Wear OS. Hopefully that's helpful

I have the galaxy watch 4, still learning how to use all the functions. But I do want to see a map of where I have walked, using the steps function and GPS, but cannot find it anywhere. I have been into a Samsung shop, and they said the watch doesn't do that and need to download a separate app. Surely not ? All watches have this
Are you starting your walk by hitting walk on your watch in the exercises?
@@FitnessWithFrost No just day to day steps. So you are saying you need to go to the walk function, and then it will give a map of where you have walked once you have finished ?
There have been a few occasions where the watch has automatically started the walk function. So where do I find the map ?
Strange the Samsung shop said the watch does not have that function and I need to download an app, but couldn't tell me which one. Very unhelpful.
I'm not sure if the watch will map an automatically detected workout but if you chose a walk you will see the map. The map with be in the Samsung health app

It is compatible, but I have heard things like GPS would not be able to be used sadly
My active 2 started malfunctioning, and I went and bought the watch 3 today, because i think tizen is way better than wear OS, and most of my watches are wear os, so i know its crap.
The reason I believe in Wear OS now is because Samsung is helping. They aren't going to be making any more Tizen smart watches so the support for Tizen might start lacking

Exactly, don't fall for the false marketing. I have the watch 3 and the battery life is double that of the watch 4. The watch 3 is still king.

The sad thing is that I'm not that familiar with the ones other than the samsung. I know the watch 3 is a great watch, but if you want it to be a bit smaller the active 2 is pretty much the same watch but in a smaller package

You can get 2 full days without all of that on. If you are doing a longer workout tho you might see less than that

100% go with the 4. It's using Wear OS instead of Tizen and that alone should be enough. But it's smoother and better sensors

Honestly I'm saving my money, my Galaxy watch still does everything both of these do besides b.m.i. I mean why would I track the fat on my body when I don't have any 😂 very athletic build, but I honestly don't workout either, naturally gifted I guess, I'll wait til they come out with a major difference besides style, which Samsung is following with apple with coming out with 2 watches within a very short time frame, I thought after the 3 they would have it out for a few years like the Galaxy watch. I mean 🤔 all I need it for is my heart beat, tell the time, date, maybe steps and that's it. I mean what else do you actually need a watch for? Stop falling for marketing gimmicks and if it's not broke why upgrade? That's what stops you from saving and being rich and successful, spending money on materialistic things, just like iphone, why do I need a screen and camera upgrade on an all glass phone every year?
Saving money is a great idea. They really haven't even changed the design ever since they used to call it the Gear S3 and I don't think they're going to be changing it anytime soon

The thing does not count calories in real time and nothing on it to gauge it in real time. Nothing active, sport, etc, about it. Does not vibrate when receiving gmail notifications, only outlook. Have to add gmail to outlook to get gmail specific notifications. The band does not fully articulate. Stops at a certain point when you get ready to strap it on and as such it feels awkward because it does not fit nor feel natural to the circumference of ones wrist. Samsung does this crap with everything now. Releases way before the product is finished, and than sends out a million updates leading people to be convinced, oh wow, they really listen to the customer and they are always sending out updates. It's lazy. Let's release it unfinished, wait for all the things it needs once the consumer begins to gripe about it, and than we will release an update further making the watch what it should have been at release to begin with. GARMIN may not have the brightest looking watches, but they have the fitness watch game down to a science.

Sorry I don't like Galaxy Watch 4. Google apps sucks compared to Samsung apps. Less than 40% of the # of apps compared to Samsung. Also as respect watch faces literally less than 15% of the number of Samsung Store. On my 3 I found 10 faces I loved and provided me the info and readability I needed. not one is found on Google Wear. So yes G4 has some nice extra features but it lacks the software and faces of the G3. Wish I'd kept my G3 before giving it to my son.
The tough thing about Tizen is that since Samsung is going Google, they will stop supporting it as much as they will with Tizen. Most likely they will catch up with watch faces and apps where Tizen will fall behind
One can only hope, but given the number watch brands that have switched to Google Wear, one would have expected more.

The watch 3 is still a very good watch and is probably less glitchy then the watch 4
