So apparently someone said that according to the rider wiki in terms of stats Gavv's base form is the weakest among the other riders. That tells me that his strength comes from his graunte side and the base form literally just armor.

Supposedly, our main trio was casted due to "happy accidents." They had goofed up in silly was when auditioning (or in souma's case, literally stumbling into his audition unprepared), and that's what got them casted. Such lovably silly bean, I can't wait to see more of them

I'm so glad this one is fun. Previous season was...not.

It helps that this show is much better than Gotchard because the writer for Gavv is Junko Komura, who wrote Zenkaiger, Lupat and was the secondary writer for Gokaiger and Akhibaranger. So the potential is there. I love that this show is an Original Heisei throwback in some respects. There's some Kiva elements in this show, but done better (so far, at least). With family like this, who needs enemies.

Gaim and Gavv should have a movie war film! or a special crossover. Fruits vs Snacks!
Aside from that. Gavv has been really good pacing and storywise, The characters are actually written well and even those who have small roles actually has character.

Gavv sounds like a good time - I was fearing that this would be another Gotchard, but thankfully it's not the case. The theme song is pretty good too.

Glad you guys are liking it so far. Though there was one small but perhaps VERY crucial detail you forgot to bring up when talking about Hanto. In his flashback, the Wolf Granute is only seen from behind or from the waist up; we don’t see what his Gavv looks like. However, in Hanto’s crude sketch of the Granute, the wolf has a Red Gavv. . . just like Shoma. And it seems like a rare Red Gavv is what “marks” a Granute as being a half-human hybrid.

This show is already doing a way better job telling its story than Gotchard because Gave does much exploring its characters, and their motivation is made clear.
Shoma, for instance, is someone who wears a happy smile but has suffered significant tragedy due to the loss of his mother, the closest person he had ever spent throughout his life.
As we see their time together in the Granute world, it's made clear their life was pretty miserable, not to mention that they had to eat meals that tasted awful in the Granute world.
This moment not only explains why Shoma gets so excited eating candy on Earth but also why the Granutes are so addicted to the Dark Snacks.
Anything on Earth, whether it be steaks, sweets, or even humans, tastes better than any food grown in the Granute World.
This information alone explains why Granute kidnaps humans to produce the Dark Snacks and because of the loss of Shoma's mother to make these horrific confections, thas well as the Stomach Family's disdain for the half-breed that explains why Shoma fights against the Granutes.
He has lost so much to the Stomach Family and wants to ensure that nobody suffers through that tragedy as he did.
Thus, not only will he fight against, but to ensure other humans' safety, he will leave them, leaving a note telling them how much he's grateful for the time he spent with them.
This works so well in establishing the character's actions and goals and even leaves you more to explore with each episode.

Gavv gripped me very easily, simply because Shoma, Hanto and Sachika are just such wonderful characters who I enjoy spending time with. Shoma is the perfect balance of a happy and bubly idiot, but whose also incredibly and tragically selfless, not wanting to involve with others, because he doesn't want to lose someone.
Hanto is also a great way to get us to understand how the world of Gavv works through his eyes, which works WAY better than Tycoon (I forgot his name). Particularly because he is actively wanting to obtain more information, rather than being thrown in and just being the excuse for exposition. Its nice to have a secondary rider who isn't either a rival, edgy or the shounen character stereotype.
I love Sachika, she's so bubly, charming and cute and I love that she helps give more interacts with Hanto, it just gives the main three more synergy and they all feel alive. Compared to Gotchard, Shoma, Hanto and Sachika are characters with fassits and layers to their personality, whilst Hotaro, Rinne and Spanner are just stereotypes and tropes.
I also really like the gimmick and the powers, Gaim is my favourite Rider season and it did a great job adapting the fruits into the Arms and weapons and Gavv does it just as well. Its so weird and out their, but to me when Kamen Rider does something weirder like this, they make it work REALLY well.
The fight music is also so hype, it makes the fight scenes so fun to watch, combined with the powers and how bouncy everything is, its just fun.
I haven't felt this much fun watching Rider since Build, another series with great characters and gripped me quickly. Hopefully, Gavv continues to deliver, but given that half the show has already been filmed and written, it shows how dedicated they are to making this a good show, unlike Gotchard, which lacked a lot of direction, because it was pulled in too many

My spirit as a whole is loving Gavv. If I had a stomach like yhem, it would be happy. Yhr characters and the story so far, peak compared to Gotchard.

Just watched the 4th episode. They really are his half-siblings. When their father was still alive, Souma and his mom were protected but the moment he died, Souma's half-siblings took over and had his mom turned into a human press while he escaped. Next episode, we will meet their grand-uncle.

@@mightyactionx9391 Given that Shoma’s dad is nowhere to be seen in Shoma’s flashbacks to “happier times” with his mother, I’m guessing that the Stomach Family father was quite a nasty fella like his full-blooded Granute kids.

Interesting. I love the opening! I sing along to it a ton and once I start, it's hard to stop. Also I wouldn't want it to have the Gotchard treatment of second hard being rock to appease others who didn't like the first opening. It violates the premise of the season with its bubbly world.

Am I the only one who thinks Kenzo the Granute researcher may be the (likely half-human similar to Shoma) Wolf Granute Hanto’s looking for?

I was just thinking about that yesterday lol

    • @q94141
      @q94141 6 дней назад +1

@@chaosleo815 Yeah, it makes sense with the suspicious amount of knowledge he has about Granutes.
It’ll be quite ironic if he and Hanto end up becoming friends as Kenzo helps Hanto become a Kamen Rider to begin with.
And if the wolf is half-human like Shoma, then his human form is probably no disguise, unlike the other Granutes. There could be a compelling storyline between him and Shoma too as a result, with them possibly being the only two hybrids in existence and thus suffering the exact same “issues” from both humans and Granutes.

This show definitely seems to be going the Amazon/Kiva approach. Which I like!
The way he literally produces his own Transformation Items(which, mind you, are simple GUMMIES.....Toei is DEFINITELY saving money on this one LOL), which is so weird, but interesting at the same time.
