A like a lot of these videos, but some of them are entirely too wordy and explanatory than what would be in a typical EAS, and the attempt is to try to avoid panic, hard to do that when you're giving a full on explanation of a SCP or some other anomaly. Isn't realistic for trying to give clear, concise information for an emergency, or that an organization like the Foundation would be giving you what amounts to as full O-5 clearance on information through a public emergency channel and break secrecy.

One of the scariest things about a nuclear defense system is that it's least effective when you're attacked first and not expecting it. Conversely, if we were in the midst of a war where it had already escalated to Nuclear attacks, especially if we were the ones who sent the first nukes, it would be at its most effective. It's still a good thing to have, but realistically, there is a scarily high chance that it could fail if we were ambushed by nukes (and a scarily high chance for the rest of the world that if we attacked them first, we could take over the world even more than we already have.) :/
It may just be a warning for anyone in the vicinity to be aware of the missile deviating from its path or more launches Edit: and/or a unit conversion mistake.
