I picked up 2 of these for my 6yr old twin boys, they were on sale for 240$ Canadian basicly the cheapest hobby grade 4x4 RC in the industry!! The receivers are going to be set at 50percent throttle for now and I'm sure they will enjoy their Christmas gift!!
The Typhon is such a great buggy. The Mega is a great value and tons of fun. Lot's of upgrades available. I have a 3s V2 and it's my best car for bashing. I really want to get a 2nd Typhon and have considered getting a Mega. You really don't need a lot of speed for bashing so as it sits it's perfect. I never have been much of a fan of the stock tires but they really work well on-road and don't balloon as much as non belted Trenchers or similar tires.
Love this channel for just realistic down to earth reviews and opinions. You can see in the slow motion segment, with the Hoons on, it grips up like crazy, and looks better with that tire/wheel combo. The body is a bit meh, but aside that.
im not a buggy guy so i took the body off and put a proline 1/8 chevy c10 body($44 PRO322700) on it , castle sidewinder 4 4600kv combo $130 , ovonic 80c 2Ss 5200 lipo $35 , a set of Pro-Line Badlands MX tires and a flysky fs-gt5 combo $70 . now this is a awsome r/c for cheap ! the flysky is a massive upgrade over the stock controller !
Is there room for a flat 7-cell NiMh battery, instead of the “hump” style battery? Size wise, this doesn’t look any bigger than a 1:10 scale like the Senton.

Yes, you can adjust the battery tray to accept the seven cell
Can't make my mind up between one of these or the granite for the kids. Any idea which would take the most abuse 😂
Typhon more durable. Better handling also.
Is this 1:8 or 1:10 scale? I’ve seen it next to a 1:10 scale Slash and the Slash looked kinda bigger if not the same size as the Typhon.
What are the size specs of the Hoons you used? I see the rears are wider than the front.
Hey. I'm from Germany. I'm ,38 year's and want to step in the rc hobby. Do you think it's ok? I've read a lot of burned Motors ( Brushed 550).
This or the traxxas bandit ? For allaround use
Its a Tie
Instantly clicked off once I found out it i has bed modded, should of been an out of box review
