Holy shit Spitjitzu… That brings me back to this inane debate I had on the Lego message boards as a kid with someone who said that SPINjitzu wasn’t a martial art so I pointed out it was because there was like, different ways to do it. And so they said by that logic spitting could be a martial art!
In hindsight I should’ve just brought up the scene where Jay figures out Spinjitzu and is shown doing actual martial arts within the tornado. But man does this take me back!

Granted, Wacky Packages is like….. mostly targeted to adult collectors today actually, not kids 😅 It’s like the MAD magazine of trading cards (alongside Garbage Patch Kids of course)
It was started in the 60’s, as gross out/shock parody humor was incredibly popular at that time for kids toys and trading cards, and it only became more and more popular and edgier as their collector base grew older in age! The concept of gross out parody toys is nothing new, heck even today 5 Surprise (by Zuru) has made their own gross out toyline that outright mocks the trend of miniature brand toys right now!
I’m not really a fan of gross out parody stuff, but that Friends sticker might be my fav out of the bunch lol, I love corny body horror stuff so that’s right up my alley 😆
Also in regard to why that 1/1 card costs so much….. dude it’s literally the only copy in existence. Usually these 1/1 cards are hand drawn or painted, and features the artist’s signature, or have some sort of special gimmick tied to it, such as guaranteeing an actual physical prize like a trophy or a statuette! Just look at the prices the 1/1 Disney Chrome cards that TOPPS has made, now THAT’s a 1/1 price tag 💀
