I like how she tells these stories. Like I feel like she’s talking to me rather then reading off a script like a lot of true crime RUclipsrs do.
YES! while maintaining professionalism and emphasizing the TRUTH.
That makes so much sense as to why i love Kendall and can’t get into anything else lol
If you like that aspect of her videos you would love stephanie harlowe too, if you don't already watch her. Her and kendall are my favorite true crime youtubers ❤
You will probably like Mr. Ballen, too. Check him out. He does a variety of true stories, no just crimes. His storytelling is also easy going. He is REALLY expressive and even more engaging because where Kendall keeps a level, calm tone..which works for her totally...Ballen is really expressive in voice and face...and hands, too! It works for him, too.
Literally she just repeats exactly what was said in an episode of 20/20 that aired a few weeks ago.
The fact that Hugh Hefner thought that Dorothy's husband was slimy/creepy says a lot... I mean he himself treated women so badly so how awful of a man must Paul have been?
💯🎯
eleanor neale recently published a video about dorothy's murder, and hugh hefner was the least awful man in that story, which says alot about everyone else
Right on! He was crazy slimy, too.
@@amakel4365 omg I was just watching that video and i came back here to check if I was confused thinking i had already seen the video lol.. 😅
@@amakel4365 I actually just watched that video a few hours ago😂
Actually dorthy came to his house to talk about the divorce and she brought over 1,000+ dollars to help Paul get on his feet - which is so crazy she was kind to him until the very end and he just killed her :(
Everything I've seen on her story says she was a sweet, kind person w/a soft heart. Although, I'm sure the fact that he groomed her starting when she was 18 & manipulated her constantly had something to do w/the guilt she felt for his situation
Unfortunately there have been a lot of murders/murder-suicides that have involved Playboy models and bunnies, usually by the hands of jealous partners. It’s very said because most of the partners that ended up murdering these women were the ones who encouraged them to become involved with Playboy in the first place, then when the women started making money and gaining fans and admirers their partners couldn’t take it and….yeah it’s very upsetting 😣
Violence against sex workers is a big thing.
@@shilohgoes5544 yeah, ain’t that the truth!
It's because they never saw them as partners in the first place, only property.
darkness has its way in the world - stay shining in the light. trust no one!
What about the fact they would be expected to have sec with VIP’s if they weren’t married. 2 times a week orgies with Hefner. And that special key.
My cousin was an original Chippendales dancer! There were lots of shady things that happened during his time as a chippendale.
He was actually arrested in LA because of him going to far with his stripping! Lmao
I love your tiktoks

@@mizfts . I used to go to a place in Canada called Danny’s that wanted to be just like them they were totally nude men and served alcohol @ 18 we would all load up and drive over there and have a blast. A lot of the dancers were really amazing guys with their clothes on. 😊
you have such a gift for story telling. NEVER would I have ever looked up a video about the dark truth behind the chippendales on my own, yet you craft the most enthralling retelling
EXACTLY!!!! I don’t ever think about Chippendales😂… then I see a video from Ken and 👀👀 now I’m interested AF 😳🧐
If you are interested in knowing more, Amazon prime did a 4 part documentary on it 🙂
Wasn't this all in the Chippendales documentary that aired recently on cable ?
talk about the drama. at least something positive came out of a grizzly murder. something fun for the straight ladies. oh steve.
you're genuinely one of the best storytellers on this platform. I never thought i'd be so invested in learning about chippendales lol
Steve was his own downfall. He should not have signed something he didn’t understand, and he was so focused on money and greed he let it control him. Everything caught up to him.
Kendall, you’re extremely skilled at telling the atypical stories! Usually, these are super boring unless they’re about some sensational murder case, but you’re GREAT at this! I only learned about the Wendy’s & McDonald’s scandals in depth because of you (I was born in 1992 lol). I can tell that you really do a lot of CREDIBLE research, and your videos are always very natural-sounding. You really are one of the greatest at this!!!
Definitely agree. She is by far my favorite in both her content selection and delivery. She's a real natural in reporting
i second this, she is really good at what she does.
I went to the Chippendales in London. It was a stage show. No groping! Afterwards we went backstage and for money we had a photo taken with a couple of our favourites. Not as raunchy as your film snippets! ❤️ ❤️
Plus all of the charity work she does for the true crime community!! All of her donations, the publicity she brings to lesser known cases, just the immense support she gives to families of victims. I love supporting her channel. Idk any other RUclipsr who does as much as Kendall in regards to helping out with cases.
@@cherry9669 Thank you! I feel great supporting Kendall because she truly cares about crime victims and does so much charitable giving towards them. Working with the families and all is above and beyond.
Paul brutally assaulted Dorothy and murdered her in a horrific way. She was way too good for him and he knew it.
I wonder if he also didn't want anyone else to have her.
@@alliwelcharsenickitty5606 Personally, I think so. I read an article about their relationship where it was mentioned he was very abusive and controlling.
@@brittneybrisbin744 There is a movie based on them called, Star 80 with Eric Roberts.
Eleanor Neale posted a video based off Dorothy’s story today if anyone’s interested
@@alliwelcharsenickitty5606 That is one of the main reasons why he did it he couldn't stand the idea of seeing her with another dude to him it's "If I can't have you then I'll make damn sure no on else would." Guys like this irritates me because they act like there's no other women on the planet he could've found himself another chick. But Dorothy was the key to the rich & famous a life he wanted to be a part of but was being shoved out because he was a sleaze ball & he had a woman that was too hot for him. Where ever he is now he isn't with Dorothy.
Can I just say, there is a fantastic video by Eleanor Neale that just came out that deep dived into the Dorothy and Paul situation. And honestly, it sounds like Hugh Hefner only wanted Dorothy to leave Paul because everyone could see how manipulative he was to Dorothy. It seems Hugh didn't expect marry women to sleep with him, since his first wife had cheated and left him hurt. I think Hugh was actually trying to help her. Especially because her future boyfriend, who wrote her biography, said some really bad things about him and Hugh actually seemed offended.
I actually watched that crime that Eleanor Neale covered. Besides Kendall Eleanor is the only other true crime youtuber I listen to. I love that the 2 of them are friends. 😁
I just watched Eleanor’s new video! I loved how they played perfectly into eachother!
Hef was really shook up by her murder. I’m not saying he was a good guy but he cared about her and saw this coming.
Definitely recommend checking out the podcast "Death of a Starlet" by Wondery. It is an in depth telling of Dorothy's life starting from when she met Paul, and details the circumstances leading up to her murder. Paul really was so sleezy 😥
@@tb564 The podcast You Must Remember This has a great episode on Dorothy.
Sitting here with my 17 year old daughter I started telling her about the time I took her aunt to the Chippendale show for her aunt's 18th birthday. Then it hit me...I was 8 months pregnant with my 17 yr old at the time...sooo technically she had also been to a Chippendale show as well 😳😳
For the record:
I wasn't wild on the guys and definitely not drinking! Way to reserved for all that.
Babe please don’t feel like you need to defend your actions almost 20 years ago to any of us. I hope you had a good night. 😊❤️
My mum told me a similar story but it was for her nieces bachelorette party. (She didn't drink either)
I doubt the last part.

I accidentally walked into a chippendales show my first time in Vegas and it was the strangest 20 seconds of my life😬

I really don't think Nick "tricked" Steven with The Napkin Deal. That was just Steven being stupid in signing something without a lawyer advising him on what he was agreeing to. Stupid games, stupid prizes.
Yeah well he was also pissed he stole his idea which wasn’t even his idea. Original incel 😂🤣😂🤷🏼♀️
Isn’t that what tricking is? 🤣 fooling someone based on lack of knowledge?
Those misprinted Chippendale calenders with 31 days for February could be a sought after collectors' item.
She has the voice of a broadcaster with the power to call slime what they are. Truth. A rare thing. AND SHE DOES HER HOMEWORK.
This was a FANTASTIC episode. So interesting. I literally enjoyed every minute of this story. You really outdid yourself with the reporting, Kendall!
⁰
My mum went to a Chippendales show in the 90s when I was a wee lassie (Scotland). The only reason I knew was because I found the forbidden photos hidden in a drawer in her room when I was snooping 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
not hidden in the drawer😭🙈💀
The scandals/murders surrounding Playboy/Chippendales are absolutely mind boggling.
Steve: "Yes yes. Let's make a deal with me business partner that I cannot absolutely stand and sign off on a document using vocabulary that I have no idea means."
Play stupid games, you get stupid prizes
This needs to be a movie! I wish I were a screenwriter because this could be such a glamorous and gritty crime movie.
Right ? I was just thinking how many good movies I could make since they are so boring nowadays.
yesss!!
I would love to see a movie about this case.
“I’m gonna fantasize about the guy w the cherries 🍒 “ 😂😂😂
My grandma use to always go into Chippendale but she said it was "too much white men for me! I wanted to see some black men, some native american men, some asian men. But the drinks were nice only reason i went"
LMAOO HER WORDS NOT MINE
LMAOOO
Say Hi to grandma.
I haven’t been to an actual Chippendale’s show, but when I was seventeen, I was a water-slide attendant; I stood in a pool halfway down an inner-tube slide and pulled the tubes with their riders into the next part of the slide.
About 20 of these guys in their little white satin bikinis came hurtling down upon me.
1. White satin is not a great swimsuit material: when it gets wet, it’s transparent and not elastic at all.
2. Even if the satin hadn’t been see-thru, lots of bits and pieces came out all over the place.
3. Cold water is not flattering to the male bits.
I got *quite a show* .
Oh my hahaha thanks for sharing
Hahahah
Bikinis?? I think you meant Speedo’s. Unless those guys had massive man boobs
Lmao. 😂
ive never seen a guy in a bikini. interesting
I remember when I was a kid my older sisters went to a Chippendales show. Oh my gosh they thought they were so cool for being so risqué and outrageous to go to a male strip club lol. I remember them telling our very prudish mom about it and all Mom said was “Oh no girls!” As she made a horrified face! Then Mom paused for a second and said “well?…..how was it? 😂
Lmao
Funny story
That's hilarious!
This is awesome! 🤣🤣🤣
My mom went with me & my friends!
Hugh Heffner really was a scoundrel wasnt he? He was just so of that time. I feel he probably didn’t even know fully his level of scoundrel because he was so immersed in that generation but everything he did was so scoundrel-y. I used to really like heffner in the 90s and 2000s but when you hear all these stories he’s just such an old school Hollywood rich player who treated women like his dogs, as if they were all transactional. And I feel he must’ve thought he was a gentlemen and a great helper but man. Nope. Yeah, again, scoundrel is only word that seems to super fit his way.
I always found him kinda gross 🤷🏻♀️ lol
lol never heard that word until now and u know what word i’m talking about
Playboy was just a brothel and Hugh was a pimp
@@hookedonmilk is it scoundrel?
I never liked him and I actually find it gross that he was idolised even today.. he straight up used women.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous Kendall is 🥺 I love supporting her videos, she does so much for the true crime community. This is honestly one of the most interesting cases I’ve seen so far on her channel, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen the entire hour.
When Kendall says he thought letting in anyone other than white guys would "scare the women" my jaw hit the floor.
kendall, i appreciate your uploads so much. my anxiety makes it difficult to leave the house especially when it’s cold out (CO resident here as well) and it makes it so much easier to go to my classes having your voice in the background. thank you for all you do 💗
Sweet one, I send you love. Anxiety at that level is really tough. Look into leaky gut and adrenal fatigue. If you heal those your fatigue will go away. Try beginning an herb like ashwaghanda (withania somnifera) and some internal lavender supp (like lavender tincture) and begin taking more epsom baths. Several times a week sit in 2 cups of pure epsom salt. Also get stress of lifestyle and your foods under control in case they are part of the cause of it. Some herbs that can help you near bedtime are things like lemon balm, chamomile and passionflower, to soothe your nervous system. Limit your workouts when adrenals are so tired to light working out until they can heal after about 6 months. Okay exercises while they heal are things like yoga and walking, especially Yin yoga. But yeah google leaky gut and adrenal fatigue and begin with those herbs. The herbs will stop the panic attacks if you have and over time (months) will begin to help your anxiety get more fortified as body gets support.
@Ash , humans like you are shiny gems in a desert of sand. I screenshot your comment and will plan how to work it into my own healing. Thank you for investing in strangers by giving healing advice.
You might already be aware of this, but if not, Kendall also has 2 podcasts I listen to a lot for the same reason as you. Called “Mile higher” (about true crime & conspiracies and stuff) and “the sesh” (more fun chill podcast).
💗💗💗
I have the same thing. I almost never leave my house (which is a tinyhome) due to anxiety and autism, and I listen to true crime on headphones when I have to go out. I also like that Kendall is chronically ill but manages to do this. It's inspirational (I'm chronically ill too but that's not primarily what keeps me from leaving the house.)
@Ash-- you shouldn't tell people "and your fatigue will go away". I already do the stuff you list and still have chronic fatigue. It depends on what's causing it.
I went to a Chippendales show in Vegas on my 22nd birthday. Also saw Magic Mike as well. They're super well-produced shows and fun to go to -- but I had no idea such a sinister story would be behind it. I'm sure there's lots of stories behind the Vegas shows, especially Cirque de Soleil and other high produced strip shows!
I love how Paul comes into the picture and Eleanore Neale did a video on him and Dorothy!! The timelines of these RUclipsrs is amazing I love
To be honest being near Hugh Hefner and Paul Snyder would make me wanna take a shower for literally 2 hours
I was a young single wild 20 year old in the early 80’s when I attended several Chippendales shows. We had a blast but I had no idea about all of this BS going on at that time.

Those clips were mostly from a movie, so dramatized.
I remember being a kid and my mom going to a Chippendale show with a few if her girlfriends. She had an absolute blast! It's pretty messed up knowing the darkness that's actually behind how they started, though.
I wish Steve had just sold Chippendale at the height of it's reign and enjoyed his money and peace. Greed is a terrible thing. You think you can get away with murder continuously? No

I was a 15yr old teenager when one day My sister and I were in my bedroom and we heard screaming and laughing and pure excitement from my mother, my 2 aunty's and grandmother from the main lounge area. Music was blearing and so we went to investigate. From behind the door, my sister and I crawled on the floor behind the big couch where my grandmother was sitting. It became quiet and on the TV a "movie" was playing. 3 ladies in a bar, as far as we knew. Then all of a sudden, The music was loud, my grandmother was clapping her hands, my mum was on the edge of her seat with the biggest smile and then my sister and I watching the TV, saw 4 drop dead georgus men dancing and taking off their clothes! This was a first for us, We were giggling so hard that we got noticed. The movie was paused, we knew we were busted!!! And once we got caught.....we sat and watched the rest of the show. Wonderful memories as she died from an inoperable brain tumour 10 years later so it’s something that I know she adored doing
loooooooool!
Oh my I love this! I’ve never felt these shows are for me but I’m absolutely on board with anyone who enjoys them. I’m so glad your mom had a fun, silly time with you! I’m so sorry for your loss but I’m glad you will always remember that crazy time your fun-loving mom got to rub baby oil on some hunks and live her best life 😍❤️🔥
I love watching your videos and showing awareness to all these cases . Your always so compassionate and caring about these people I can tell your genuinely helping these famlies ! I watch all your videos ! It would be nice if you covered more stories of indigenous people as well . 💙💙💙
Great great reporting!!! Loved it!! I’m 69 and remember it all!!! Went to several shows. Great talent, dancing and music. Thanks for the memories.
Yess! I was asking myself aloud yesterday, "Kendall... I need you!" But seriously, you're the best youtuber/reporter on RUclips in the true crime world. Bravo 👏👏👏👏
Anytime I hear chippendales... I imagine the snl skit with Patrick Swayze and chris Farley....priceless may they both rest in peace
Lmao me too, EVERYTIME
I started watching you 2 weeks back and I am hooked to ur channel... there is no one I found on RUclips who narrates these crime stories so well and interesting like you...
U R THE BEST..👍🏻
Awesome summary, so well researched as always! Can’t believe I had never heard anything about this one before.
I love how kendall tells the stories. This was an especially interesting story.
I’ve binge watched all of your videos just cause they calm me down when I’m stressed. So thank you for still posting and helping me almost everyday. You’re so amazing.
Same. She has the most soothing voice and I love seeing her beautiful pets.
I really enjoyed this episode!!!! Thanks for all your hard work, Kendall!!!
This story was amazingly narrated and put together Kendall ❤ thank you for presenting us with such a fascinating part of history
40:34 just pointing out how cute the cat is sleeping on the back of the chair. ☺️
I was so into this story and how you told this. I had NEVER heard it before.
I loved this episode. I found it riviting. I was especially surprised learning of Paul Snider's involvement in the creation of the Chippendales. I knew a lot about the case of Paul and Dorothy Stratten but I had no idea about his connections to these guys. So I guess you could say the Chippendales might never have existed if it weren't for creepy Paul Snider.
I just love Kendall Rea so much. Thanks for telling these stories 🥰
Missed you girl! Glad to see your feeling better🥰
I’ve never even heard of this story!! Thank you for sharing it and thank you for just being you. ❤️
Story telling is epic and your voice is very soothing
Thank you for covering all various topics!
This woman is so calming💗 my first time hearing about this. Thank you Kendall for sharing this
Nothing but respect for Kendall 💓💓 forever supporting you girl
Okay but like the cat in the back is absolutely adorable 🥺💙🤌🏼
Yet another masterpiece storytelling experience! Love the mic too. I can hear you way better than all others on my Bluetooth speaker!
Ps. Whoever edits the videos BRAVO/A! LOVE how all the videos and pictures match up perfectly with what you're saying. Nice little touches like the American flag when discussing someone coming here jsut shows how much thought went into the verbal AND visual story telling! I watch several real crime shows and you are always boss! Plus you speak PERFECTLY for this and have such reverence for those involved.
