Man, their Papa who started Gucci would be so heart broken over all that crap his sons/grandsons did and losing the company 💔
Happens all the time
Plus all he really wanted was a good successful business. I don't think he ever lost sight of what's important apart from money but his sons and grandsons definitely did
Not only heartbroken but turning in his grave he could he would rise up screaming at his sons "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERYTHING I'VE BUILT YOU SIMPLY DESTROYED I"M ASHAMED OF YOU!"
"...Never think you know a man until you divide an inheritance." People do awful things to one another over money. Family members can be the worst.
@@eagleeye2300 As the saying goes "Money is the root of all evil" throw money at a person & they show who they really are.
my father was killed when i was 3 months old, no investigation was ever made, no arrests, nothing. i love watching these videos almost living vicariously through people who actually got some kind of justice or concern for their death. i love these videos & kendall
Am so sorry for your loss I can't imagine the pain 💔 of not knowing
You should fill out a victim activate form, it’s underneath Kendall’s videos in the descriptions, and her discord.
so sorry for your loss dude
I’m so sorry. My father was killed by a drunk driver who is very wealthy, even more well known and extremely well connected where I live. She got away with it 100% . I hope one day you will get some type of peace or closure 💕

I'm not really a brand person but vintage Gucci pieces are such ridiculously high quality and just beautiful. I've inherited a couple of Gucci pieces made in the 60s/70s from my auntie (sun glasses, bags, 18K Italian gold jewelry) that I wear lovingly. They're not flashy, just beautiful and make me think of my auntie.
Real quality items have a higher vibration, ( literally.)
Lucky!
@@eagleeye2300 literally? I mean, I've never seen high quality items vibrate :/
I knew all about Gianni Versace's murder but had no idea Gucci had a murder for hire plot going on until the film with Gaga so I'm looking forward to your take as always!
Same! Have you seen the movie yet? I’ve been wanting to watch bc of Gaga being in it and it looks pretty interesting
Neither did I! I haven't watched the movie myself yet but the ads for it really caught my attention and I knew Kendall would be really thorough so I'm glad she covered this case.
I watched the movie with no previous knowledge of Gucci family. I was fascinated. I think it's very much worth seeing!!
@@jordangardner8078 The movie is good! It’s about the House of Gucci itself and doesn’t focus just on the murder so some people were upset that it wasn’t just a murder action movie but the subject was literally in the name of the film lol
There were rumours that Donatella his sister was behind his murder as she wanted control of the company . There was a lot of internal conflict between them . I’d read a very interesting article years ago . Of course officially there was a different story about his m.urder
The movie should've been a mini-series. They spent maybe 5-10 minutes on the murder and the aftermath (how they were caught, etc.) and it was at the very end. I will say that Lady Gaga deserves something for carrying the entire thing on her shoulders.
Thanks for the info! Sounds like a skip then for me.
@@tigerlily8117 I'm glad I watched it. Good movie
Yeah but Lady Gaga didn't want to speak to Patrizia or look into her character.... cause she hates her and doesn't think there is an excuse for what Patrizia did. I think that's fair enough but I don't know if she had a true grasp on the role she was playing. It gives off "celebrity makes this movie great" vibes.
I didn't make it to the end, it was so boring. Jared Leto played his role like he was doing an SNL skit. They would talk with a bad Italian accent one min, and the next they would sound like they were from Yonkers. It was terrible.......
Adriene page thats not true. gaga didnt meet with Patrizia but she looked in to the character.. she researched everything about her for over a year, she learnt from people who knew both patriza and the family. she read/watched every factual information she could. some of the other cast laughed saying she researched so much that she did the homework and research for them too lol.
Also I find it so sad, that the whole Gucci brand doesn’t belong to a single family member. All that greed and not one Gucci has ownership of the family brand :(
Happens a lot, like the McDonald’s brothers
So sad that one persons dream and hard work ends up on someone else's hands 😔.
SMH sad
Well, people sell their companies and that's how it goes..

How ironic- the wife they thought was not loyal to the family, ended up being more loyal to the family than an actual GUCCI family member.
The wife who killed him? Seems to me the two were as bad as each other.

“It’s better to cry in a Rolls Royce, than to be happy on a bike”.. ya know, 20 years ago, I would have agreed with her, but the older I get, I disagree. True happiness is everything, not money
I think someone has to be purely materialistic to think it’s better to be sad in luxury than happy without luxuries. I left a life of luxury when I left my abusive husband and don’t miss those things at all, because when you’re crying from misery it doesn’t matter that you’re in Rolls Royce or Aston Martin - you just want to be happy and for tears to stop.
I would much rather be happy and on a bike! Haha
I'd rather be happy on a bike in places where they design travel to be bike + car + affordable-public-transport friendly, so you don't *need* a car. Not having to worry about car insurance, maintenance costs, gas prices.... the dream.
I agree. I think the sad thing is there are some people out there that are unable to be happy without money. So, they truly have to be rich because they cannot find happiness with other people or in the simple things in life. Making money is the only way they will ever enjoy anything on this Earth, unfortunately.😥💔 It's very sad to think about.
I can't ride a bike so I'll take my rolls royce with some ice cream too🤣
As someone whose grandparents are Hard Italian, my grandpa actually born in Naples, your pronunciation is actually pretty good for a non-native speaker. The accent really glues together Italian words.
Thank you so much! That makes me happy and would make my grandma very proud lol
I'm definitely NOT a "Brand Name" shopper. But the history of the elite is always fascinating to me. I guess what they say is right. Money is the root of all evil.
Same. My "brand name" bag I never use is a Coach, scored at the Outlet on sale. But I'm equally as fascinated with the rich, elite, famous, and luxurious. Weird.
And all my clothes are from Walmart or Kohls or Old Navy lol
Money is NOT the root of all evil, please!
The saying is actually, the love man has for money, is the root of all evil.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10)

they changed quite a lot of things in the movie compared to the book. it was actually wayyy more complicated in reality.
What is the name of the book!?
I had no idea there was such a story behind the Gucci name. Now I kinda actually wanna see the movie. Thanks Kendall for always comin’ in clutch!
The movie was pretty good
The movie is dam good...have you watched it yet?
Kendall Rae! You are a great narrator. You were able to get to all points in a clear and concise manner. You summed up the movie in a effortless way.
Thank you so much 🥲🥲🥲
I think they did really love each other in the beginning. His father gave him an ultimatum. They knew he'd be cut off if they married. I'm sure he had some money, but not that kind of money,, and they married anyway. They had no way of knowing what the future would bring. Only when he inherited his father's shares, did he really change. She must've been blindsided when he emotionally abandoned her. She (to herself) probably believed it would change back, once he reached some goal that he had for himselfand the company. Instead, he had someone else inform her that he wasn't coming back. Leaving his daughter's and her, for another woman. Ouch. That's soul crushing, total devastation, for someone who was a prominent person on an international scale. She was so insignificant, she wasn't worth anything, to him, anymore. Nothing.
She had to have felt humiliated in front of the whole world. Then the embarrassment turned to rage.
How dare he? Who does he think he is? Who does he think she is? Does she not have any value, discarded like trash?
IMO anyway.
I agree with you that they really loved each other in the begginning or least Marizio was willing to be cut off for love.
💯 with you
you are spot on. i agree
But if you look at Patrizia’s life (she’s still alive), there are some major emotional issues. She still likes to deny culpability in the murder of her husband. There’s a good indication that she’s a sociopath. So it worked both ways against the relationship once the honeymoon was over.
In the end his father was right...he tried to warn him...outsiders if the family were their undoing....just as much as how the family treated each other...a very sad and cautionary tale
Ahhhhh! I have been hoping you would do this since November!! 😩❤️ I’m so excited! Thank you beauty! ❤️

Yes please!!!!
she did one on the murder of gianni versace
I am not a brand person but this is a story that really should have been a mini series what a wonderful cast of actors
This story is so insane, like she was actually convicted and sentenced and she's out, that is honestly so wild
She actually served a lot of time. There are people who only serve 5 years for murder in America.
Most people who commit crimes of passion are released eventually

It sounds like money made them crazy. Made them lose realization of what really matters in life. It's sad.
You should do a video on the case of Sandy Rae who went missing in Shawnee, OK in 1984. This is a cold case and the family could use some help speeding the word about Sandy so they can finally find answers about what happened to her. This is actually not the only unsolved missing persons case from this town. Melody Garton went missing in 1983 from her home as well and the family has no answers on what happened to her either.
I can't express how much your videos help me out through my day! Thank you Kendall for all you do!!
I could use 1 a day...just kidding Kandall Rae😉
Awwww thank you! This means so much ❤️🥰
I was in Milan a couple of years ago and my boyfriend, who is from there, pointed out to me that we were walking right where M. Gucci had been shot. Being a true crime lover, I felt a bit of a thrill.
None of these Gucci people come across as particularly nice ("It's better to cry in a Rolls Royce than be happy on a bike"??), but Gucci as a brand , just like Versace, epitomised Italian chic in the world for years.
Those early days handbags and luggage... 😍.
However, I can't emphasise enough what Tom Ford did for the Gucci brand: does anyone remember Madonna in the silk blouse, skinny fit trousers and high-heeled mid calf boots? I think it was early to mid 90s and that outfit was stunning for that time!
I tried Googling this outfit with "madonna Gucci" and couldn't find it.
@@AmandaVieiraMamaesouCult I'll see if I can find it for you later 😊. At that time it was the non-plus-ultra of chic! 🤩
I tried posting a link in a comment just above but I'm having a tec glitch.
Try googling Tom Ford Gucci 1995. There are photos of Madonna sporting that look and also models on the catwalk.
I was surprised that they didn't include Maurizios' behaviour towards Patricia and his daughters. He really was a dickhead. I also left a cinema feeling like they tried to portray Patricia as a manipulation master behind his 'business' moves.
Where did you get that info about him being a “dickhead” towards his daughters ? All the material I’ve read states exactly the opposite.
I was a bit confused by the movie, the sequence of events and Maurizio downfall was not explained very well. this true-crime doc really helped me understand it better. Thanks
Guess this is what people mean when they say that family and business don't mix well. Too competitive instead of working together. I love the Valastro family from Cake Boss, they seem wholesome..but then again, you never really know what goes on behind closed doors. I love your videos Kendall! You are an amazing storyteller. ❤️
I could listen to Kendall talk true crime for hours, no matter what mood I’m in!

This whole story is so messed up! The hard work of a man ended up a whole chain of pain and family drama. Also i am not surprised patricia was the one who ended up hiring someone to murder Mauricio. It’s like almost everyone in the family was just plain evil and greedy. This is one of those cases where you just find so hard to feel sorry for everyone involved 😖
Drama in an Italian family...you don’t say?!?!? I think EVERY Italian family had some kind of crazy drama. We are very passionate people that cannot hide our feelings.
I've always stated something quite the opposite of Patrizia. I'd rather be poor with love & happiness than rich, alone & sad...
"It's better to cry in a Rolls-Royce than be happy on a bicycle" 🤔. Interesting idea but I think I'll take happiness on a bicycle thanks 😅
I’d take the bike 🚲 any day.
Who would choose to give up happiness for money? I would choose being poor and happy over being rich and miserable any day! Not that I think all rich people are miserable, just responding to her quote.
Money may not buy happiness, but the lack of money definitely brings about misery.
im watching this right after the video you told us you are pregnant. I cant help but feel so overwhelmed with joy! Im so proud of you! I've been following you for a while now and even though we have never met I feel like I've watched you accomplish so much. You are an inspiration. Thank you.
This story is soooo interesting to me, who knew the brand had such a dark past
This story only has one valuable lesson to learn: don't let money get in the way of family.
Don't let your family get in the way of your MONEY!!!!
Thank you Kendall for telling this story! I’m Italian and living and working in Milan, I see the door where Maurizio was murdered every day. Also, the villa you see in the movie as the villa where Rodolfo Gucci lived is just around the corner… I can’t believe I’ve missed all of the actors while filming 😫 Your Italian pronunciation was quite good 😉
You should do the story of Von Dutch next! It’s a crazy story with some murder & shady people!
They've done a series about this, it's either on netflix or prime. I 100% reccomened
I remember years ago my older more "distinguished" cousin saying she wanted a Gucci product for Christmas one year. So I, being a copycat of hers wrote a Christmas list for my mom that I wanted a "Gootchie" item for Christmas as well. I was like 9 and had no idea what it even was. Lol. I've not seen this movie yet but I need to. I loved the clip of Lady Gaga saying "Father, Son and House of Gucci" such a great and funny line.
GOOTCHIE LOL! Amazing
That’s hilarious 😂
@@kwizatzhannahrach yeah idk why I still remember that but I do lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
so early! have loved your channel for years Kendall :))
you explained this case so well! here in Italy she has talked recently ab Maurizio and said that he had a weak personality and this new woman won him over, so for the love of her daughters she started searching for a killer bc she can’t shoot. so everything was intentional. while she was in jail, after some medical exams they found out that due to the brain tumor that she had, she doesn’t have a part of the brain anymore
Maybe the part of her brain that was removed was responsible for her killing her husband? He was also the father of her children.
Regarding time served behind bars, I’m Italian and I know it could be pretty confusing for outsiders.
We actually have a problem of overpopulation in jails, so unfortunately sometimes people get released earlier than expected under “good behaviour” or “work permit” if they are considered not an immediate threat for society (they are not likely to commit the same crime again in the future). Sometimes if the crimes are not violent, the sentence is most likely to be converted to house arrest.
Anyways, most sentences are recalculated after some time because we have lots of degree of judgment, so you can easy appeal the sentence and some changes may occur.
I’m not into the law area, so I share my understanding of things as a common citizen.
I love these types of videos and it makes me happy knowing your spreading awareness. I love this so much.

Definitely one of the privileges that women have
@@pussydestroyer69285 no she’s served a percent of her sentence probably never got into anything while there and got out on good behavior. Lots of prisons are this way
In many European countries, a “life sentence” is somewhere between 20 and 25 years. So 18 seems quite appropriate here. I don’t know about Italy specifically, though.

lately i’ve been getting a bit frustrated with TC content creators and their thumbnails. some have been really bad. i’m so sick of creators using a not good picture of a victim and then posing next to them with a thinking face. and i say that with love. it needs to stop, it’s so tone deaf and weird. thank you for not doing that. sometimes you do a little but it’s more with ones that aren’t as seriously?? idk i just want to thank you for having more tasteful thumbnails because lately i’ve been seeing some really crumby ones
like even your regular videos where you may pose this way, you’re not being dramatic you’re just posing and you use a nice photo of the victim. the one vid that upset me recently the person used a really rough photo that just felt disrespectful ya know? so , thank you for not doing that
I noticed that with a recent video by Brooke McKenna. She made a video about an indigenous murder victim and she used a really distasteful thumbnail picture of the dying victim contorted front and center next to her. It left a sour taste in my mouth.
