I do a double-take whenever someone says it's the same platform as the earlier Zeds. I don't know if it's the styling in an absolute sense, or the fact that it reminds us of the 240, but it looks well smaller than the 350 and 370, which were starting to look a bit bargey.

It's strange you complain about the climate control not being integrated into the digital screen. "It may take a while to get used to"?? I must admit, that's the weirdest complaint I've ever heard a car journalist mention.
@@carsguide Thanks Mal, but I'm afraid I do still disagree. I drive a Golf 5 with climate dials, and to change climate settings using physical knobs or dials while driving is much easier and a lower issue of muscle memory than having to swipe and/or scroll through a touchscreen menu while driving - even some of your colleagues (m.ruclips.net/video/5rXOqX6DEnI/видео.html - 07:29 - 07:48 & m.ruclips.net/video/M1UV3vtQxrU/видео.html - 05:49 - 06:15) share the same sentiment. @@kabeloo8649 Sorry I wasn't clear. Knob controls are definitely better, generally, but with the new Z it's very difficult to see what levels you're adjusting. Particularly while driving. Cheers, Mal Flynn
Most people actually prefer hard dial climate controls. Nothing worse than fiddling with a screen to adjust the temperature while driving. I don’t understand what that’s a complaint for you.

Seriously? You're asking why Nissan didn't 'integrate the HVAC controls into the screen"???? Have you driven the new Golf R? Or any other car that uses 'screens' for key functions? As a reviewer, your credibility just dropped........
They cheaped out for Australia no mirror image centre console for Australia and the straight line performance is not in the same league as the mustang V8 and Supra 3.0 . Plus no satellite navigation. Not as impressed as l had hoped .
Boringly spoken video review and thoughtless in parts... may be the written one is better? 2:37 "You would get used to, but it would get some getting used to"? 3:57 Seen this V6 "as much as" 6 years ago, not "as long as"? A 5 year warranty is industry standard (and it isn't) and 12 month servicing is "convenient"? How? Price up $20k, but you fail to acknowledge the 370Z benefited from a big price cut in its last stint because the opening price would have been closer to today's.
The front facia just looks unfinished.. Why it doesn't have a light bar and bright work thru the centre of the grill and onto the paint to emulate the bumper of the original Z car I'll never know ...especially when its 20 grand over priced.
@@Gonzarelli all cars are 20k overpriced nowadays. Its almost as if the tech was brought out 10 years ago and theres no reason to charge 100k for a car thats not much different than the last.
Auto Supra: 0-60 in 3.9 and 1/4mi in 12.2 @ 116 mph. Auto Z: 0-60 in 4s and 1/4 in 12.28 @ 115.3 mph even on inferior stock Bridgestone tires. 😏 Put the same Michelin tires (as on the Supra) on the Z and it'll match or beat the Supra.
I owned them both the mk5 supra and 2020 gtr. It is true whilst the supra is quick, the gtr mid range to the upper level is a lot faster. It's noticeable when u drive them back to back.
That blue color on the z is gorgeous

Clever design at play there. They've removed a bit of visual mass from the rear wheelarches, which no doubt helps. Cheers, Mal Flynn

Why isn't the blue available in 2024 in Australia 😢😢
The only thing they nailed is the coffin for the car. 😅
Any reason to buy this over the GT mustang? wouldve thought the v8 power and sound of the GT would outdo the Z
Price.... drive ability. Not just another mustang....
Suspension set up…imo the mustang feels a bit like a boat
I hate touch screen climate controls. Buttons and knobs function way better and faster.
Your review was the best and not too long...price of the car a little on the high side...got milk?

Supra should be compared to GTR. Z should be co pared to Celica. Of course you can argue that new models of GTR and Celica dun exist.
