Some officers appreciate that you wait to locate your drivers license, registration, and insurance card so that they can watch you instead of wondering what you are reaching for or hiding.
I have my papers securely clipped to the sun visor. My car windows are all open and my hands are on the steering wheel when the cop walks up. When he asks for my papers, I say, "They are up here." Then I reach for them. I do anything I can to make the cop's experience with me less stressful. That includes being honest and respectful.
I’ve heard some officers criticize people for not pulling over right away! I agree that finding a safe place to pull over is better! Confusing! Love our police- so far I’ve made it to 75 years old without a citation 🙏😄
I know some speedometers may be off slightly in some brands/models due to assumed factory calibration errors, but if you for any reason find out that it's off by a huge margin or not working at all it should be treated no differently than a mechanical failure and taken straight to a shop. Your driving just becomes a hazard at that point, no matter how well you can estimate speed by feeling. Also I feel it's better to just call whoever you have an appointed time/meeting with and tell them you'll be running later than expected rather than rushing through traffic at around criminal amount of speed. In worst case you'll be running late either way, but it's still better to only be late than arriving late with an expensive citation and a mandatory court meeting to ruin any future plans. Just food for thought.

But again, that is not an excuse for speeding. Leave your house earlier. Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier. Whatever it takes. Don't speed.

If your speedometer is off, and you know it is off and need a way to gage your speed, use a hands-free mount for your phone and download a free speedometer application and use that to gage your speed. it is better than trying to gage your speed yourself. I have app on my phone that I use at times to gage my speed, since i see that my speedometer on my car and the speedometer app on my phone shows at least a 3mph difference, and my speedometer in my car is the slow one.

5:23 that's a bit odd. I've always been told by LEO to not go fishing around in my car once I've been pulled over. Making movements towards my glovebox, etc. would typically NOT make a LEO comfortable as they approach the vehicle....

As someone who has lived in Wisconsin, I can assure you that you can be going the speed limit and passing everyone on the road.
