If everyone drove the exact speed limit do you have any idea how much traffic there would be on highways, interstates etc the police allow people to go faster than the speed limit if it will allow traffic to flow better as long as it isn't excessive
I drive school bus, I see sooooo many people who should not be driving, I've had so many close encounters with people almost slamming into my bus not following stop signs or any signage for that matter, not to mention the amount of idiots who go through my red lights and stop signs as I'm loading and unloading students. It's dangerous on the roads, always drive safe know the laws and signage and for God's sake a little common sense goes a long way.
The first driver is exactly why I could never be a police officer even though I spent 8 years in the Marines and would easily put my life on the line for stranger. I actually wanted to be a cop very badly after my time in the Marines because I knew I would be the kind that wouldn't give people a hard time over nonsense and I would absolutely be able to stop a lethal threat. But after seeing the way people treat cops over the years I know I wouldn't be able to deal with it. God bless every police officer for what they have to deal with every single day from these ungrateful idiots that they're out there trying to protect like this first jerk in the pickup truck. Clocked 15 mph over the speed limit and changing lanes in front of a cop without using a signal and this a-hole wants to argue. Unbelievable. I'm not even a cop and I get so sick of the "I only broke the law a little" excuse.

To be fair, as he read them, the directions on the back of the learner's permit are not written clearly. Sounds like you could easily mistake them to say you can drive during the day, but after 3 months you can drive until 10pm with a licensed driver 21 or older.
Turning into the turn lane and stopping(when being pulled over) is a moving violation also, it is impeding traffic. Same as you backing out of your driveway onto ANY street is a moving violation and actually is a crime. You're supposed to pull to the right side of the road as far as you can without impeding traffic and put your hazard lights on!

there are places where you are not allowed to exceed the speed limit when passing, and if you do exceede the limit when passing, you really shouldn't be passing.

It’s called turning left in front of approaching traffic. You have to yield the right of way to oncoming vehicles before making your turn. It’s basic driving.
