Guilty as hell. Just FYI, when a cop reads you your rights, they are going to arrest you. Doesn't matter what you say after. So... when they ask if you understand your rights you can save a lot of time and avoid further questioning by saying "NO sir, I do not understand the rights as you have stated them."
It's also to cover their bases, so that the suspect can't turn around and say that they were coerced or intimidated, or that they didn't know they had a right to keep their mouths shut, which was the argument that was deployed in the case of Ernesto Miranda. As most small minds do, the perps like to hold court wherever they're standing, thinking they have to plead their case right then and there, and they think that if they repeat the lie over and over, it will eventually stick; as if they're in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they believe there is a special blend of words they can use to make it all go away. Whenever they speak, they don't realize they are assisting the police in their investigation against them. The police will threaten you, lie to you, and twist your words to try to break you, and it's perfectly legal. You may not be able to win against such tactics, but with silence, you can stalemate them. Never engage your opponent on their terms.

@markevans5674: Some people cannot get a bank account for several reasons. They've passed too many bad checks, owe the bank money, owe child support or are flagged by the IRS or DOJ. Desperate people only have two options....a "payday" loan company or a pawn shop. There's a reason why these predatory companies exist: They assume a very high risk and therefore charge very high rates to cash a legit check.
It’s hard to believe not to go cash right away but my daughter won $100k off a scratch ticket from Ellen’s 12 days giveaway and they waited almost a month to turn in. They were actually too busy. I know crazy, I would have been in my car and turned in right away! lol But this here is crazy, going to a pawn shop to cash should be a red flag 🚩 right away
I can't believe someone is so ignorant that they believe a check cashing/pawn shop is not going to make several phone calls checking the authenticity of the check before giving them 24k in cash.
You can cash checks in all kinds of places in the US. Most retail outlets, actual banks of course, gas stations, and yeah even pawnshops. Now, unless it’s your bank you almost certainly aren’t getting 25k back, they’ll tell you they can’t payout that much usually.
@@jayhari1713 They'll take a large cut (10-40%) if they do front you the money (then they get paid when the money comes through at the back end). But no way in Hell is a business going to front 24 grand to a new person. Icarus here scammed a little too close to the sun! 🤣

Police: "Well, your under arrest." Woman: "Can I call somebody?" Police: "who do you need to call?" Woman: "I was going to call the pawn shop down the street to see if they can help me cash my check...I'm gonna need bail money now."
"I ain't gonna lie...", "I'm gonna tell you the truth....", "I'm gonna be honest with you...", "I'm telling you the truth...", and nothing out of their mouth is true.
Fun facts, for the heck of it: The more people lie to either themselves or others or both in their everyday lives, the more often they say it, and the more easy it is for them to say it. They say it semi-subconsciously (instinctively) because often, they're trying to reinforce their own belief in what they're saying, even when they know they're lying, because it enables people to create true delusions. The mind is capable of manifesting false reality for its owner to prevent them from experiencing a self-perpetuating loop of physical anxiety which will feed on the mental anxiety and vise-versa, as the central nervous system perceives that as an unresolvable/unwinnable fight. You can tell when someone says "To be honest---" and is actually being honest, because they'll show signs of physical anxiety when they speak the words. It works that way because the only way to break the cycle of verbally censoring oneself is to confront the fear of speaking openly, using the fight response to counteract the flight response. 'Fight or Flight' is a single system because they're always related. People with rage issues are actively fighting their insecurities like paranoid predators, and people with anxiety issues are insecure but see themselves as having no ability to fight their anxiety triggers, so essentially embrace defeatism when they think, or know, they can't win. People who seem to be 'bipolar' emotional manipulators in police videos are almost always just fearful 'animals' backed into a corner, switching between submissiveness, seductive appeal and aggression to see what sticks, without even doing a thing consciously, which is why drunk people are the most blatant about switching tactics. Being drunk gives the CNS full control of cognition.
I feel bad for the lady's friend. Imagine you're just going about your day and you get a call from the police telling you that someone just tried to implicate you in check frauď.

He barely touched.on full text of Miranda Rights. Any honest cop will tell you that you never talk to them when you're arrested or in her situation, guilty or not.
Whenever they say “basically” the lie is forthcoming.
Any kind of qualifying word. “Honestly“ “literally“ “essentially“
Well basically shes lying!😂

@markevans5674: Some people cannot get a bank account for several reasons. They've passed too many bad checks, owe the bank money, owe child support or are flagged by the IRS or DOJ. Desperate people only have two options....a "payday" loan company or a pawn shop. There's a reason why these predatory companies exist: They assume a very high risk and therefore charge very high rates to cash a legit check.
