I want to take a second to say thank you for all the flysky stuff info that you put out like this, no one else is really doing this and flysky is my jam! Thanks for the education bro!
I just bought a Tinyhawk as a RTF bundle and I'm excited to learn. I've also been practicing with a sim using a Flysky controller. I thought when I read the description on the website that it already syncs with Flysky controllers, but after looking again, it clearly said FRsky. Darn! This soldering is beyond my skill level right now, but eventually I'll muster up the courage to tinker around with it once I learn how to fly.
You are about the only person who uses Flysky of the more known YT channels. The fs i6s was the first one I got and i've done some pretty good mods to it. 2x external antenna with 2000mw booster and li-po bat mod with usb charging. I've never seen this Rx, I use the flit 10 for my beta 75x its tiny but no rssi.
I used the SBUS pad and set the FS i6X transmitter to SBUS mode in the transmitter rx setup as well and that did work for me (same board but on TH 2 Freestyle). Just enabled serial receiver on UART 1, changed receiver to Serial and SBUS and it worked okay.
Thank you 😄 very useful 👍 the 5v next to the bind button on the board gives me 2v I welded on the other side of the board for the + - next to the capacitor
This video is exactly what I was looking for, thank you. Had a quick question. The only Tiny Hawk S I can find on Amazon are frsky models. Can I still use these Tiny Hawks and just solder on my own receiver? Or does it have to be a Tiny Hawk with no RX for me to solder on my own?
Yes, you can buy the Frsky version and add this receiver to it.(ultimately you will be flying with 2 receivers but only one active). The version he is demonstrating on has a receiver attached already. I added a fs-rx2a to a Frsky receiver model to use with a Flysky controller.

I keep trying to refer to this video because it's the closest I have been able to get to anything helpful, but I am still frustrated as all get out. I have an X6B receiver.. you have a good video on binding it and you have another video showing how to connect two of its wires to connect to another style drone, but what I could really use help with is which wires to solder directly onto a tinyhawk freestyle, which is very similar to to the S you have here. I can bind it to my controller just fine, but I think I have the wires in the wrong areas.. any chance you might be able to help with this? I don't know which wires are the positive and negative. I know the black one is the ground. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be anything that tells me what the other 2 wires are
