Loved your reaction! Paul Rodger's doesn't miss, ever! He sounds better now if that's possible! Keep em' coming! Love, peace & happiness, always.🫶🏼✌🏼👏🏼
Great classic rock song, for all the reasons you heard and found for yourself. Paul Rodgers was the voice of Free, and their massive classic which keeps coming back is "Alright Now". I'd be surprised if you didn't recognise that. He's still going, btw, and came out with an album in 2023, called Midnight Rose.
The original members were Paul Rodgers lead vocals, Mick Ralphs lead guitar, Boz Burrell Bass guitar and Simon Kirke on drums. That is the lineup you just seen. Shooting Star, Rock and Roll Fantasy, Running with the Pack, Burning Sky, Simple Man, Gone Gone Gone, and Electric Land are a few of my favorite Bad Company songs. I would pay to see Paul sing the Phone book. I have seen him solo, with Bad Company and with his short stint in Queen.
That’s the great Paul Rodgers singing and Mick Ralphs on guitar. Bad Company was made up of members from the bands Free and Mott the Hoople…both great groups in their own rights. If you stick with Bad Company, I would listen to “Shooting Star” or “Rock and Roll Fantasy” next.
Nice reaction Dayle, you were on the money! You won't go wrong with Bad Company.I heard them as a teenager, have been hooked since.Shooting Star would be my next suggestion,Rock Steady,Simple Man are a few more.Very talented band, lead by the great singer,Paul Rodgers.
In a similar 70s vibe..... think you will also love group - lynyrd skynyrd - "Freebird" - LIVE video from 7/2/1977 Oakland Coliseum..... the feel of the audience also.. post hippy free-love era yet lots of feeling free and pretty girls....
For a short yet iconic 70s one-hit-wonder group... After giving some money from the record company to do a video... they drank/smoked it away so made a video in one of the members back yard.... Ram Jam - "Black Betty". a remake of a 1930s black folk song of sorts given a rock form .... but song itself goes back much further. A hit and iconic video though they never had another one.
Saw them in concert several times in the 70s
