This fried chicken will send tingles in your mouth! Asian Garlic Fried Chicken with Sichuan Pepper

- A fried garlic chicken recipe that will send your palette to heaven. This recipe is quite simple to make, just mix a few ingredients for the sauce, chop up a few vegetables and fry the coated chicken. Combine the lot, for an amazing Chinese style recipe.
This recipe is peppery funny enough with a berry called Sichuan pepper. It’s used a lot in China’s South West Province called oddly enough, “Sichuan or Szechwan”. It has a remarkable numbing effect on your taste buds, quite different to the spicy chili piquant we are used to.
For the chicken you could use breast, but thighs have more flavour and usually juicier which is best for frying. You will need to marinate them for at least one hour, I prefer overnight or even 24 hours. When coating the chicken, make sure each piece has corn-starch on it. If you find it difficult, just spread them out on a flat tray.

When it comes to creative flair and skill, I’m not much “chop”with the paint 🎨 brush, however in the cugina I transform and come into my own. I attribute this to my late Mamma Maria, who was a figure of perfection in the kitchen and as a seamstress back in the old country. 🇮🇹 I unconsciously knew the dimension of man made time to achieve an end result paled to almost insignificance compared with immersing and almost losing yourself in your chosen activity. You feel as if you instantly become one with the universe! Of course, I digress somewhat,but in the final analysis we and all things around us are intrinsically connected and this aspect shines through in your videos!
To me, Joel, cooking & putting a meal on the dinner table goes far beyond that. It is an absolute art form from start to finish.. and best of all you get to use all your senses, with the ultimate one being to taste your masterpiece!
