Just use baking soda OR vinegar. Not both. Very Common misconception that they’re supposed to be used together when all they do is neutralize each other
No, they can be used together. The note worth taking is do not use them in exact quantities.. To become more acidic or base. Their combination produces carbon dioxide that helps lift up dirt from the clothes. That's why in practical use, you can see that it works better than vinegar or baking soda alone. 😊👍
This saved my shirt! Now what if you had to do this on multiple shirts, would you wash it together or separate? Also can you make the formula in the bottle and still make it work?
We're glad it helps. 😊 It is better to wash clothes separately as some clothes may bleed color. We also dont advise mixing all the ingredients in one bottle.
Oh I let my shirt dry and there’s still as stain on there, do I do it again? I let it soak for 1 hour, how many hours did you let your shirts soak with the formula?
Oh sad to hear this. Some stains are really hard to remove completely. Not all stains can be removed by this formula. You may repeat the process if you like and letting it soak for more than 8 hours and use a brush to brush the formula into the affected area. But warning, there is a risk that it may fade your textile color depending on its quality.

Thank you so much. The rinsing water temp doesn't matter too much. It really depends. Warm water is great in removing germs and heavy soil. But based on our research cold water is good for clothes. It will less likely to shrink or fade and ruin clothes. Cold water also reduce wrinkles. Cold water is best also for clothes that bleed.

Sad to hear that. Sometimes it depends on other factors such as the severity of the buildup, quality of the fabric and age of the buildups. You can try increasing the duration of the soaking process if your clothes have good quality fabric. We hope you can still save your clothes. 🙏Goodluck.
The effectiveness has differenf factors 1. Strength of hydrogen peroxide 2. Strength of the vinegar 3. How long was the stain 4. How much buildup 5. Quality of the fabric 6. Soaking time You may experiment and see what works best for you. Some deodorants are notorious in making deo buildups and damaging clothes. I suggest you get a deo without the aluminum content.
Sorry this is a really late response but maybe it can help someone else wondering about the same thing. If you can't find hydrogen peroxide at a pharmacy, you could try looking at gardening stores or hunting shops. Hydrogen peroxide can also be used to get rid of root rot in plants and to bleach skulls, which is why those kinds of stores will often also sell it.
Hi 👋🏻 I would like to ask if the products can actually remove the hardest and thickest stain of deodorant in the underarm shirt? I'm looking forward for your kind response. Thank you.
Yes it can soften the fabric and remove stains. But it sometimes depends on the severity of the buildups and the quality of the fabric of your shirt. Some buildups are really hard to remove even with several tries. Goodluck on your shirts. We hope you can save it 👍
Would this work if I threw everything together in the washing machine? I have a lot of shirts that I need to get rid of the deodorant stains on and if I can do them all at once in one go that would be amazing
Hi. We used 6%. We bought it in a local pharmacy. You can buy concentrations of 3% to 9%. You may want to experiment which concentration is best for your stain.
Wouldn't the hydrogen peroxide whiten the clothes though? I have an almost exclusively black wardrobe with this problem and I'm worried I'm going to exchange a white deodorant stain for a hydrogen peroxide bleached white stain.
Actually, the hydrogen peroxide's purpose is to loosen and lift the stain from the fabric. The vinegar will likely bleach your shirt but depends on the quality of the fabric. As you can see, ny shirt is black and the color was fine after the wash.
Others use only vinegar and baking soda. It depends on the severity if the stain and buildups. Hydrogen peroxide is usually available in pharmacies. Have you tried asking them?
Yes. But white shirts are harder to restore than dark colored shirts. It may not 100% remove the visibility of the buildups. I hope you can help you. It all depends on the severity of the build ups and stains and the quality of the fabric. Good luck 👍
I know another way to get rid of armpit stains. First you spread baking soda on the armpit stain, then oxi clean, you toss it in the small washer and you set the washer on a hand wash setting. The big washer I have to experiment or ask my mom about. I took a look at my one blouse and it got most of the armpit stains out.
If your dryer is enough to dry your clothes completely, there's no need to hang it. 😊 Most dryers cannot completely dry your clothes so you still need to hang it for a while to completely dry. 😊
We used a 6% solution that we bought in our local pharmacy. Based on our research, in pharmacies, you can find concentrations from 3 to 9 percent. There are higher concentrations used for bleaching textiles in industries but we are not sure where you can buy it or if it is better. You may want to experiment if you want to.
I did this but got no results unfrotunately. Which side of the t-shirt should I do? The largest deodorant stains are from the inside but it's the outside that's visible too and that what's ruining it for me when wearing the t-shirt... So, I tried doing this on the outside side.
Sad to say it did not work. It depends on the severity of the buildup. Try to concentrate scrubbing and soaking the inside first. I recommend you try soaking it longer. But there is a risk of textile fading depending on the quality of the cloth
Yes. But it works better on dark colored shirts. White shirts are usually heavily stained by deo buildups. It depends on the severity. Try it. Hope it helps. 😊👍
You would think some company would release an all-in-one solution/something you could throw in with laundry to combat this problem by now. Seems pretty common.
@@ArtandLes Sure, but you'd think. say Gillette who has the chemical formula of their deodorant/anti-perspirant could have their chemists create something that would react and break it down in the laundry. Of course it would have to also be gentle enough to not damage clothes/not be toxic.
Some brands are already using a good formula. All they have to do is remove the aluminum and there will be no build ups. I am now using deos without the aluminum ingredients. I hope other brands wull do the same. 😉
We tried it.on cotton. We're not sure on other kinds of fabric. Some fabrics are sensitive and some bleeds and fades color. It deoends on the quality of fabric.

@@ArtandLes I tried it out it worked but it still have fewer stains on it I don't know if the soda would take it out completely but my shirt do look a bit better then before my deodorant made a cake paste on my shirt so this video helped thanks
Thank you for the feedback. The deo buildups are very hard to remove especially if it was old. The stains can be removed with baking soda+vinegar or with a good anti stain laundry liquid. Goodluck 👍👍👍
Yes. It can still be effective. Vinrgar and baking soda is famous for removing stains. But hydrogen peroxide is a great help in softening the build up and also used as effective stain remover. You may experiment as you like. Some stains can be stubborn and hard to remove.
We don't know what can substitute hydrogen perixide. But some use baking soda and vinegar only and it works. It depends on the severity of the stain and deodorant buildup.
Yes. It can still work against stains and some buildups. Baking soda and vinegar duo is a famous recipe. But in removing build ups, hydrogen peroxide can act like an additional help to remove it.
Your results will vary greatly (or not work at all) depending on the type of deodorant you are fighting. For example, this doesn’t touch Mitchum triple defense antiperspirant& deodorant.
Try slowly pouring boiling water on the armpit stains and letting it sit for about 5-10 mins first to help "melt" the hard stain first. Pour off the water and then proceed with the mixture as described in the above video.
Goodluck. We hope it helps. Some buildups are stubborn depending on how old it is and the severity. Try experimenting on more soaking time ⌚ if it doesn't remove completely 👍
The deodorant buildups doesnt hide when you wet your clothes. White stains can hide on dark clothes on wet cloth but build ups is still noticeable and sometimes becomes water proof.

@@k4IIen that ink stain is for ever my guy.....dont buy clothes from off white anyway they're ripping you off unless the color of the shirt is just off white lol
It really depends on the quality of the fabric.. Some clothes bleed color and can affect color. Some buildups are also too much to remove and causes damag even before removal. But in normal quality shirts like the one we used, i think there will be no problem.
yes po pwede po. PERO please take note that some build up stains are more obvious in some colors. If the buildups are severe, they may still be visible in some colors. Meron din pong fabric na kumukupas kapag hindi maganda ang quality. Trial and error po. In our experience, they work best sa dark colored clothes such as blacks.
I notice in your comments you keep mentioning that fabric quality is a factor in how well it works or if it damages the shirt. How can you tell what's quality? I have a bunch of black band t shirts, mostly from concerts (which is why I really want to save them), some from places like hot topic and spencer's. Just plain old generic unisex t shirts. Are you talking higher quality than that or do you think it'll work?
I am mentioning the quality of the fabric due to the fact that some fabric bleeds color when exposed to acidic liquid like vinegar. There are also many types of fabrics that may affect the severity of deo buildups and how it will react to acidic solutions. We only tested this to thick cotton shirts. f your shirt doesn't bleed during washes and not too thin like cotton, i think it has good quality. 😊

1. Strength of hydrogen peroxide
2. Strength of the vinegar
3. How long was the stain
4. How much buildup
5. Quality of the fabric
6. Soaking time
You may experiment and see what works best for you. Some deodorants are notorious in making deo buildups and damaging clothes. I suggest you get a deo without the aluminum content.
Holla! Thanks for sharing. I was just wondering if I can substitute the hydrogen peroxide as I can’t find it in the pharmacies.
Hi there 😊 What do you want to substitute it with? We have not tried anything other than hydrogen peroxide.
@bratatouille thanks fot sharing valuable information
You need some soak time for these ingredients to work before you can use the washing machine. 😊
May i ask concentration of hydrogen peroxide?
Hi. We used 6%. We bought it in a local pharmacy. You can buy concentrations of 3% to 9%. You may want to experiment which concentration is best for your stain.
Does this also help with laundry stains?
Yes. It can help 😊
Do I have to hang it up to dry or can I dry it in the dryer?
Any of the two will do.
@@ArtandLesthanks!
The video I'm looking for for years
Hope it works for you 👍
What is the alternative for hydrogen peroxide, I don't have that one
Others use only vinegar and baking soda. It depends on the severity if the stain and buildups. Hydrogen peroxide is usually available in pharmacies. Have you tried asking them?
Personally I loved the sound effects. Made me giggle 😹 great video thanks for the help
Hehehe thanks for that. Some are angry with the sounds. 😅
This method can be applied on white shirts with yellow stains?
Thank you for sharing. I heard some good reviews about oxiclean. 👍👍👍
@@ArtandLes you’re welcome. I’m still thinking about buying seltzer water since it’s known to help remove stains.
Update us on your experiments. 😊👍
@@ArtandLes I will😊
👍👍👍
Thank you so much for this guide!
You're welcome. Hope it helps
@@ArtandLes it will!
hydrogen peroxide plus scrub, dishwashing liquid + scrub, baking soda + scrub, Vinegar + 1-24 hours soak, regular cycle
Yes 👍👍👍
hello, does this affect the picture on the shirt?
It depends on the quality of the print. Some heat pressed shirt may fade over time when you use this solution often.
What vinegar did you use?
White cane vinegar
You say hang it to dry. Is that a “must” or can I just toss it in my dryer?
If your dryer is enough to dry your clothes completely, there's no need to hang it. 😊 Most dryers cannot completely dry your clothes so you still need to hang it for a while to completely dry. 😊
May I knw what peroxide concentration u used?
We used a 6% solution that we bought in our local pharmacy. Based on our research, in pharmacies, you can find concentrations from 3 to 9 percent. There are higher concentrations used for bleaching textiles in industries but we are not sure where you can buy it or if it is better. You may want to experiment if you want to.
@@ArtandLes Thx a lot 👌
Welcome. I hope it helps
I'm a bit late to the party and it'sa good tutorial. As others have mentioned... I too had to turn the sound down.
Hehehe sorry about that. We will include better music and sounds next time.🎶 Thanks for watching ❤️
can i used this formula to a white shirt? thanks
The problem is.. Deo companies still producing deodorants that damages shirt under arms. 🤦♂️
@@ArtandLes What deo spray/roll on can you suggest?
Find a deo without an aluminum ingredients.. The aluminum is thr cause of most build ups
If i don't have a Hydrogen Peroxide still works or not?
It still works for stain removal.. But hydrogen peroxide is the one helping lift the buildups from the fabric.
Will apple cider vinegar work too?
I am not sure because i think it has different acidity level. We haven't tried if it can work.
Will this work on any fabric?
We tried it.on cotton. We're not sure on other kinds of fabric. Some fabrics are sensitive and some bleeds and fades color. It deoends on the quality of fabric.
If it sounds bad, (music) and works great I can live with that.... If it sounds great and doesn't work, by definition th@'s a waste of time.
It' s an issue i've had for too long. Just had an idiots epiphany and thought it's common sense to look here for a solution. Worthwhile post, thanks very much 👍
Hehehe. Sorry if you don't like the sound effects and the music. We will improve on our next videos 🎶👍👍👍
Will it still work if you don't have any baking soda ???
I think baking soda is an important ingredient. Usually stain removal ingredients are baking soda and vinegar. Removing the baking soda may greatly affect effectiveness.
Doing this on 100% polyester work clothes, should the material be fine?
Honestly, we haven't tried on 100 percenf polyester. We tried on semi cotton ans it works ok.
Can you make a video on how to get rid from detergent stains like white residue on colored tshirts and polo shirts
If i discover a nice solution i will make 😊 otherwise there may be some cleaning channnels which has this kind of video 😊👍
Can I use it on whatever color shirt I want?
Yes. Color fading depends on the quality of your shirt and the severity of the deo build ups. Goodluck. Hoping this helps.
Hi, what strength Hydrogen Peroxide do you use?
Hi.. We used 6% concentrate. But there are stronger concentrate we saw on pharmacies like 9%. There is also a more lesser at about 3%.
If 3 hours it is okay?
Or more than hours?
It depends on the severity of the stain or build ups. More dwell times can help. Experiment on it 😊
I had to watch this on mute but credit to you this is a helpful video
Sorry if you don't like the music and sound effects hihi. Hope our video video helps. Thanks for watching ❤️
Does this work on white clothes ?
Yes. But deo marks can be more visible in white clothes and may be harder to 100% remove
Sorry if this is a dumb question but you wanna pour the mixture on the inside side of the shirt right?
Yes. The inside side is the affected side which has the deo buildup 😊
@@ArtandLes Thank you for the reply :)
One question, what if I don't have Hydrogen peroxide, is it still effective without it?
Yes. It can still be effective. Vinrgar and baking soda is famous for removing stains. But hydrogen peroxide is a great help in softening the build up and also used as effective stain remover. You may experiment as you like. Some stains can be stubborn and hard to remove.
@@ArtandLes Ok thanks for the advice, I hope it works 😊
@@ArtandLes Hi do you have any suggestions on the other alternatives if you don't have hydrogen peroxide??? thanks a bunch.
We don't know what can substitute hydrogen perixide. But some use baking soda and vinegar only and it works. It depends on the severity of the stain and deodorant buildup.
@@ArtandLes thank you so much! nagaalala po kase ako baka di magwotk kapag walang hydrogen peroxide.
If I try this on a uniform shirt(s) is it better to clean the outside or the inside of the armpit??
We put it inside and outside. Sone buildups are stubborn to remove. It all depends on the age, severity and the quality of the fabric.
Will this procedure remove the odor of the stain?
I think a fabric softener with scent can help. I don't have problems with odors.
Any replacement for hydrogen peroxide
Can't think of any right now. Hydrogen peroxide helps lift the dirt from the cloth.
Would this still work without hydrogen peroxide?
Yes. It can still work against stains and some buildups. Baking soda and vinegar duo is a famous recipe. But in removing build ups, hydrogen peroxide can act like an additional help to remove it.
@@ArtandLes Alright. Thank you.
@@cillexmm3208 welcome. Hope it helps your problems. 👍
Do I also need to turn the clothes upside down to put the other side
The deo build up is on the other side. It will be more effective if you directly pour and dwell on it.
My son has stains but was thinking they are sweat stains not deodorant stains. The stains are darkish. Would this work
Yes. But probably the combination of baking soda and vinegar is enough to do the trick. Hooe it helos 👍
Your results will vary greatly (or not work at all) depending on the type of deodorant you are fighting. For example, this doesn’t touch Mitchum triple defense antiperspirant& deodorant.
Yes. Some deodorant buildups are really hard to remove and also depends on thr quality of the fabric 👍
This didn't work for me at all. Speed Stick.
Sad it didn't work for you. Maybe the buildups are so severe and sometimes it depends on the quality of the fabric
@@ArtandLes Yea, agree. I will keep trying and report back if I end up discovering anything new.
Try slowly pouring boiling water on the armpit stains and letting it sit for about 5-10 mins first to help "melt" the hard stain first. Pour off the water and then proceed with the mixture as described in the above video.
so this will not bleach or bleed colored or white shirts?
Not. But it all depends on the quality of your clothes... Some clothes bleed color when subjected to acid.
Does it need to be distilled vinegar ?
We think any vinegar would do. 👍
Wowwww thank you is an understatement ❤❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽
Welcome. Hope this helps 😊👍🙏
Please what if you don't have a dish washer? Can liquid detergent do??
Try to use dishwashing liquid because dishwashing liquid has stronger oil and grease cleaning capability. 😊

Is it ok to try this on a wet shirt already

does it work without hydrogen peroxide?
Vinegar and baking soda works for stain removal but hydrogen peroxide helps in deo buildups removal

Thank you, hindi ba mag fa-fade yung kulay ng damit?
Depende po sa quality. May tela kasi na madaling mag fade at mag bleed
I'll give this a try. I have shirts that havs already been washed with buildup on them and will see how it goes with these steps
Goodluck. We hope it helps. Some buildups are stubborn depending on how old it is and the severity. Try experimenting on more soaking time ⌚ if it doesn't remove completely 👍
Does this mixture bleach the fabric?
Depends on the quality of the fabric. Mine didn't. Sone poor quality shirts bleed color.

@@marymary1910 welcome. We hope this solves your problem. Not all deo build ups can be removed easily.

@@marymary1910 peroxide is essential for lifting the buildups. Other ingredients are enough to remove most stains
wet cloth actually hides the fact that the stain is still there ...
The deodorant buildups doesnt hide when you wet your clothes. White stains can hide on dark clothes on wet cloth but build ups is still noticeable and sometimes becomes water proof.

Amazing...it is working.
Thank you.
Glad it helps. Enjoy.
What if I us this on 50% cotton 50% polyester clothes? Will it damage it?
It really depends on the quality of the fabric.. Some clothes bleed color and can affect color. Some buildups are also too much to remove and causes damag even before removal. But in normal quality shirts like the one we used, i think there will be no problem.
Hello sana masagot tong tanong ko pede ba sya sa ibang kulay like orange and blue?
yes po pwede po.
Thanks it works❤❤
Glad it helps
Can you do this on black fabric?
The polo tshirt in this video is black 👍
@@ArtandLes Oh 😂🤣😂sorry I think I watched a few videos and then started posting the same question in all of them.

Which ingredients can we skip?
I guess, nothing. But if your problems are just stain, i think vinegar and baking soda can do the trick
@@ArtandLes thank u will try it. I dont have any of this neither baking soda nor vinegar will buy them
Goodluck. It depends on the severity. Some stains are really impossible to remove based on our experience
@@ArtandLes ummm yes its been alot time that stains build up on my dress btw tysm for the info
Can I use the dryer to dry the shirt I work good but I wanna wear my shirt now
Yes you can 😊
Does it work on blue polo shirt, the stain is like light violet
It can work in any shirt. But the risk of fading depends on the quality of the shirt's fabric. Some clothea bleed color.
