  • Hi guys! Today we're doing a no weft doll wig that you can style and restyle however you like ^^ This method is good if you don't want to commit to one single hair style for your wig and you want to be able to change it up. In this video I show how to make a simple wig cap and how to glue on the hair without gluing it into wefts first. The hair I use in this video is Viscose, but you can use whatever hair you want. If you want to see how to use yarn to make doll hair, have a look at this video :) • DIY Yarn Doll Wig Tuto...

    I’ve seen so many tutorials about doll wigs, and none of them seem to work our for me. This one is by far the best because it actually works and it’s very easy. Thank you :)

    That's wonderful! I've been pondering whether this method of adding hair could work, as I've got a Sindy with a 'hard' head which would be very difficult to reroot. I'm thinking that maybe thus would wok directly do not the doll's head instead of as a wig. Will be revisiting this vid when I get round to it!

      Yes, it does. Any water based glue should not be wet down. It ruins it.

    Please, could you be so kind and give a link to that hair? I searched on ebay, found a seller with such a name, but they seem only to sell things like Jenny by Takara, I don't find hair. (And they seem only to ship to the U.S.; well, this has nothing to do with your video, of course, but it is sad, I liked one doll).
    So, maybe it would be possible to give a link...?

    • @kathryncastanares525
      @kathryncastanares525 6 лет назад +2

      Jeshika Pal she said you could use boiled water. However, depending on what type of hair/fibers you are using, it may or may not work and could end up making the wig frizzy or just not work at all.

    • @heline52
      @heline52 6 лет назад +1

      I'm just suggesting... I've once asked someone what if we don't hv the hair straightener, she suggests to try with iron and u might need a little bit or hardwork to get them straight...
      I haven't try it so idk if tht works or not

    • @katieshelton8714
      @katieshelton8714 6 лет назад +1

      You can use a clothing iron or hot water :). If you use hot water be careful because it is very easy to burn yourself.

      Nylon and saran will probably take well to water and sand. Viscose will not; water makes viscose go frizzy, and it's a generally temperamental fiber.

      Linda DeChow so, I want to make my bjd pukipuki a wig but I noticed the wigs I have are with this kind of headcap and glued hair instead of sewing, so I wanted to do it like too but I'm actually wondering if this will last as long as a sewed wig would? It doesn't seem safe to me...
