High Ponytail Doll Wig [ Rarity MLP ]

Hello you guys! I am here to present you how I made the Rarity wig. It's a Megara inspired wig because of how thick it is and how it is mainly styled. If you are having problems making your yarn wefts thicker, then try this process when it comes to ponytails. Its a good way to cheat the style and get the exact length you want.

Well he could be but that would make the dolls look more realistic and if you haven't noticed Mattel/ Hasbro make their designs as much like a cartoon as possible soo... yeah. Oh and hair design isn't an issue as the kids/ adults will end up styling or customizing the doll anyway

The wig is incredible b ut it breaks my heart that you use hot glue. It will start to fall apart. The glue is not made for long term archival
i didnt know that, but i try to be careful, so i hope its okay. i just dont have the time haha
Danee Kaplan my tip is use glue all AND hot glue, it holds it on enough for the glue to dry
I mean people make human wigs with hot glue so idk
I have made lots of hot glue wigs for dolls and they're still there after more than a year

I'm not a patient person either! I got frustrated waiting for the glue all to dry and I messed up wefts that I messed up my first wig, so you gave me the idea to use hot glue for the wefts!

Have you ever watched cartoon called " Daria"? It's so smart and funny. In this year it turned 20! I think you should really do a doll inspired by characters from it just to experiment. Since your dolls are all pretty, have big beautiful eyes and lushes, doing characters from this cartoon( except Queen and her friends from fashion club) as dolls would really make a big contrast and give you big experience in doll repainting.
Well, if you don't wanna make a doll, but you've never watched the cartoon, then please, go check it out. The thing is.. Daria isn't just smart cartoon about girl, who doesn't have friends( except Jane), has a stupid sister, reads books and hates the world. Daria is a story about this smart girl and how she grows up. In the end of the last season it becomes really sad and you ( as well as the main character) feel a little lonely, depressed and very overthinking about everything.
This cartoon really means a lot to me, showed me and taught me a lot of things that I didn't notice or didn't want to notice. To understand the idea of this cartoon you need to watch every single episode, but watching the 1st a and the last season to see the difference. The main thing is seeing Daria BECOMING Daria that she was in the end.
Sometimes I become very sad that I wasn't born several years before my real birth just because I wasn't the person who was watching the show as it was coming out.
I would be very thankful to you if you notice this comment and really watch this legendary ( to me) cartoon show.

i don't know if you have one, but I think a video (Or even shortish video series) explaining the step-by-step basics of doing a doll repaint. Ex. One specifically about repainting the eyes, another just about the hair, even one to start with that explains the exact parameters of a repaint, and so on. I think that way people who are interested in doing it but have no clue where to start could learn how to do it for themselves.

May I ask you what wool you use for the dolls hair.
Is that special wool? Do you have a website for me where you can order it,
because here with us I don't find one that's so thick and that doesn't melt when you use the straightener
